Chapter One
Smiles and her laughter
its the only thing that I\'ve been waiting for a time
regardless of our distance and our hope...grows greater
trapped by pretty eyes and letters for all time
...the only thing that I\'ve been waiting for.
I hope its something worth the waiting
cause its the only thought that I ever feel real
thunder storms could never stop me
cause there\'s no one in the world like Genivive
she\'s simple yet confusing
her sparkling eyes make me weak at my words, they tremble
days seem like years in this month of December
the winter coldens me for I have yet to sleep
and never will I give up trying cause you\'re everything to me
I hope its something worth the waiting

Draco put his quill down and stared at the words on the white parchment.He sighed as all the memories of the past two years flooded back to him.How he was forced to leave the only girl he\'d ever loved.Forced to hide in the shadows and watch their baby grow into a toddler.If only his father had understood.
The war of the light versus the dark raged on all over the world.Muggles and Mudbloods were being murdered daily as a sick game.Wizards and Witches were living in fear.The Dark Lord dominated over all the wizarding world,mocking them as they all coward.And Draco was on his side.
Draco looked over to the family picture he\'d gotten taken before the war.The smirk on his father\'s face made him sick.How he loathed his father,the man who had taken him away from the life he\'d once known and turned his heart into ice.He was angry at him,and himself for that matter.He\'d let his father take him away.He\'d agreed to fight against the light side.He was pathetic.A tear fell from Draco\'s eye and onto the parchment.
\"Draco!\"He heard a man\'s voice calling him from somewhere down the hall.He quickly jumped up and made to put his notebook away,but he wasn\'t quick enough.Lucius Malfoy threw open the door and stared,shocked,as he watched tears fall down his son\'s face.His exprssion hardened as he strode towards the boy.\"You vile,good for nothing little priss!\"He spoke.The man brought his hand back and slapped his son across the face.Draco clenched his fist at his side but did nothing.He deserved this.
\"Are you not a man?\"Lucius asked angrily.\"No,you are not a man.Men do not spend their days crying over worthless blood traitors.You are a disgrace to the Malfoy name.\"He slapped him again.Draco stood his ground as the abuse took place.He was used to it.His father often struck him ever since the war started.First,it was for trying to sneak off to St.Mungo\'s and visit Ginny,then for attempting to attend her graduation,then for refusing to kill a man.He\'d come to terms with it a long time ago.Besides,he believed his father had every right,he was weak.
Next thing Draco knew he was on the ground,his father kicking him in the ribs and stomache while shouting profanities at him.Still,he stayed silent,not daring to fight back.He felt blood pouring out of his nose.
\"That Weasley bitch was the worst thing that ever happened to you!\"Draco heard his father shout.\"She\'s total filth,we should have done away with the whole lot of them when we had the chance!But no,I was sympathetic to you.But yet you still are mopping over that bloody disgusting little-\"BAM!It happened so fast,Draco hadn\'t ever realized he\'d done it.At the mention of Ginny,something inside him snapped.Energy burst through his viens and he urged to strike his father.He watched as Lucius double over,his nose gushing blood.Draco stared,wide eyed.
\"Get out.\"Lucius said firmly.Draco stood,planted to the spot.\"GET OUT!\"The blonde boy panicked,he grabbed a bag and threw whatever he could into it.As he was getting his notebook,a vase flew past his head.\"YOU\'LL PAY FOR THAT!\"His father shouted loudly.Draco decided there was no more time to get anything else.He ran out the door,his father screaming after him.

Ginny rolled over in bed to face a sleeping Harry.It was the night after graduation back at her room in the basement at the Burrow.She sighed as she watched Harry sleep.He looked so peaceful.She only wished she could sleep too.After a few moments she tried to get to sleep,but with no avail,she could never seem to fall asleep anymore.And everytime she did she was haunted by terrible nightmares.She decided she needed a snack so she carefully got out of bed and crept up the stairs to the kitchen.
\"Mommy!\"A little girl with curly hair greeted Ginny when she passed through the living room.
\"Hey baby.\"She greeted as she walked towards Trixie\'s crib beside the couch.The toddler held up her arms and Ginny picked her up.\"Can\'t sleep either?\"The baby pulled playfully on Ginny\'s shoulder length red hair and giggled.She smiled down at the child and placed her in her high chair in the kitchen.She then walked over to the fridge.She pulled out a bunch of grapes,and placed some infront of Trixie and also some for herself.The two sat,eating quietly.The house was dead dilent except for the sounds of Trixie giggling at her food.
The night had gone so well,well,almost.After getting back from the graduation,Ginny\'s family had celebrated with some butterbeers after putting Trixie to bed.Then she and Harry had gone to her room and celebrated by themselves.That\'s when everything went downhill.
Ginny loved Harry,she knew she did.He was good looking,a great father to Trixie and her family loved him,but she just couldn\'t seem to bring herself to get intimate with him.Everytime she\'d tried it had just felt awkward for her.They\'d been together for nearly a year,so she didn\'t see why it was like that.
Ginny looked over at her beautilful baby.There was no doubt about it,Trixie was definately a Weasley.Instead of flaming red hair like everyone else in her family,she had strawberry blonde curls.And instead of bright blue eyes like the other Weasleys,Trixie had her father\'s peircing silver ones.
Ginny let out a deep sigh.Trixie reminded her an awful lot of Draco.But how could she not?She was his child.She just knew it.She had the same fair,pale skin,and the same eyes.Thinking of this,Ginny realized just how much she really missed him.
No.Ginny told herself.I\'m with Harry now,and I love him....right?Suddenly,there was a big pound at the door.
\"Who the heck could that be?\"Ginny asked herself quietly.
\"Bam!Bam!Bam!\"Trixie said,clapping her hands together and giggling.Ginny cautiously walked towards the door.Looking out the window she saw nothing.She opened the door slowly.Something fell down at her feet.Ginny shrieked and jumped as the dark figure groaned.
\"Oh my gosh...\"She clapped a hand over her mouth.Sprawled out on the floor infront of her feet was a battered and bruised,bloody Draco Malfoy.
