Back to the Past

Paige looked up as the wind picked up in the attic. She knew it had worked, the thing hunting the whitelighters was coming, and she was going to get her answers. It was then a vortex opened between her and the woman, and she was thrown to the ground by two people who fell out of it. She heard someone running up the stairs and knew one of her sisters had been drawn by the noise. For this reason she wasn’t surprised when Phoebe ran into the room. She was shocked however when one of the people from the vortex yelled at her sister.

“Don’t look her in the eye!” Chris yelled to the sisters as he shielded Harry from the titan. It was then he got an idea. “Baby, Can you freeze her?” He asked hoping the sisters didn’t hear. He watched as Harry tried to freeze the titan, but it was of no use, she was too powerful to be affected by Harry’s power.

“What the hell is going on up here, I just got Wyatt down for his nap!” Came the angry voice of Piper. She stopped short when she saw the titan.

“Piper freeze her!” Paige yelled then as an after thought added, “but don’t look her in the eye!”

Piper tried to freeze the titan, Harry moved at the same time she did, and with their combined powers they were just strong enough to get the job done. That is until Piper turned and tried to blow up Chris and Harry. The sisters could only watch in shock as Chris threw Harry to the ground and used his body to shield the smaller one.

“PIPER STOP!” Paige yelled and hoped the two people who had fallen into her were ok. She knew they didn’t want to hurt anyone especially when she saw the bigger one become a human shield for the smaller one. No demon would do that for another one as they didn’t know how to love or care for anyone but themselves. She breathed a sigh of relief when she saw the taller one stand.

She noticed that this one had short dark brown hair and blue eyes. He also seemed to be about 6ft and broader than the other one, kind of had Leo’s build now that she thought of it. She watched as he held out his hands to the smaller one. That was when she took her time to study him. He had short, messy, black hair and bright green eyes. He looked to be about 5ft 6in and had a smaller almost delicate build about him. It was obvious the two were not brothers and if the look in the bigger one’s eyes they were more than friends, a lot more.

“I guess you weren’t joking when you said it wasn’t safe to go with you.” Harry said smiling at his husband as he was pulled to his feet.

“Yeah well I couldn’t really leave you behind either. I thought you would be safer coming than staying.” Chris said as he looked into the playful green eyes. He had known Harry hadn’t liked the idea of being left behind, but he still wasn’t sure if he would be able to protect him in the future.

“Would anyone care to fill us in on what is going on and what you two are doing here?” Piper said hoping to get the two men’s attention. No one realized that at that moment the titan had become unfrozen. They did realize this however when she tried to create a wind that knocked all of them to the ground.

“Did you really think you could defeat one of the Titans?” She asked trying to look them all in the eye; she was starting to get frustrated that none of them would make eye contact. It was at that point Harry saw something in the corner that made him smirk and Chris groan. He knew when Harry got that look something bad was going to happen.

The sisters, seeing Chris’ reaction began to fear for the sanity of the two. They knew the little one wasn’t sane when he jumped up and began taunting the titan.

“Actually we know we can. I mean how hard could it be, you don’t look all that tough to me.” Harry said sneering at her as he was inching his way over to the object he desired. “I mean come one what do you expect when you go into a home with people who are more powerful than you could ever hope to be.”

No sooner had he said that than the titan lunged at him. She just didn’t expect him to pull a mirror off the floor and shove it in her face. She defiantly didn’t expect to turn herself into stone either. “Like I said, she didn’t look all that tough.” Harry said smirking at Chris and the others.

“Next time you decide to go mental on us kid, be sure to warn us.” Phoebe said as she looked at Harry as though he were crazy. They had all thought he was going to get himself killed.

“What do we do with her?” Piper asked while still trying to stay as far away from the two strangers. She still didn’t trust them, even if they did just save their lives.

“Get rid of her.” Chris said as he picked up a baseball bat. “Destroy the statue you destroy her.” He said as he handed it to Paige.

“Or we could just do this.” Piper said as she moved her hands to blow up the statue. She really should have told Chris and Harry to move first though as the two were standing right next to it.

“She’s as crazy as you are.” Chris said as he was brushing the dust from the statue out of his hair. He couldn’t help but laugh when he saw Harry’s was now almost gray. “That’s a good look for you baby.” Harry just glared at him as he began trying to get the dust out of his hair.

The three sisters could only watch in amusement as Harry tried to melt his husband with his glare. “Now will you tell us who you are and why you are here?” Piper asked hoping she could get some answers. She found they were going to have to wait as Wyatt chose that moment to wake up from his very short nap.

Everyone followed Piper as she went to get Wyatt from his nap. They hadn’t expected to see Leo in the house, or Wyatt’s room, as he had left earlier that day when the elders had called. As it was they walked into the nursery and were shocked to see Leo standing there holding Wyatt. They were even more shocked when the force field went up and threw Chris out of the room.

“I forgot he wasn’t going to trust me.” Chris said as he rubbed where his head hit the wall. He was shocked to find his husband inside the force field with the others. “This is just great, why does he like you, but not me?”

Harry just shrugged and smiled at his angered spouse, “Must be a veela thing.” They had seen how people were calmer and more trusting around Harry and figured it was because they could sense the light magic oozing off him. “Back up love so he might put the force field down and we can leave.” He laughed as he saw his husband begin to mumble something about stupid veela who should treat their mates with more respect.

When he was far enough away the shield came down and he found familiar arms around him as green eyes inspected the back of his head. He couldn’t hold back the wince as gentle fingers touched the spot that had been thrown into the wall.

“Would you please explain now?” Piper exclaimed getting fed up with having people in her house who might be demons.

“Honey, if it is true and one is a veela we might not have anything to worry about.” Leo said trying to calm his wife.

Piper just glared at him for his efforts. “What the hell is a veela anyways?”

“Check the Book of Shadows, there might be something in there on them.” Leo said trying not to let on that he didn’t know much about them.

“There won’t be anything in there on them for about another 20 years.” Chris said remembering the time he and Harry had stolen the book from the museum and wrote about veela. He sighed in relief when he felt the ice Harry conjured make contact with his head.

“Well then why don’t you just tell us what is going on.” Piper said getting fed up.

“Fine, but it might take a while so we should probably sit down.” Harry said while glaring at his husband to keep the man quiet.

“The living room is this way.” Phoebe said excited about finally getting answers.

Once everyone was seated Harry asked what questions they had and wasn’t surprised when everyone began talking all at once.

“One at a time, we can’t answer questions we can’t hear.” Harry said and as an after thought added, “there are some things we can’t tell for fear of the consequences, but we will do the best we can.”

“Fine, why don’t we start with telling us who you are.” Piper said.

Harry looked at Chris as if saying he would go through with what ever his husband decided. Before coming back the two had decided to be honest about everything and use a pensive to back up their statements, but if Chris decided he didn’t want to do that now they would just do something else.

“Right now all you need to know is that our names are Chris and Harry and that we are from the future. We came through time to stop an evil that had taken over our world and the titans don’t have anything to do with it, except at some time they did kill Paige.” Chris said for the first time confused with the situation. Technically they didn’t kill Paige as he had stopped that the last time he went back, but they had before he went back.

“We will tell you everything when the titans are defeated.” Harry promised hoping the others would wait, but still trust them.

“How do we know you just aren’t waiting for the right time to do us in?” Paige asked thinking there was no way she could have been killed.

“Because without you there is no me.” Chris said hoping that would stall them until they had more time. Seeing the confused looks he decided to continue. “We are from about 23 or 24 years into the future. As I am only 22 and Harry is 21 neither of us have been conceived yet.”

“So then one of us are your parents.” Phoebe said, being the first to catch on.

“Actually two of you are.” Chris said and knew he had gotten his message across when he saw the look Leo and Piper shared.

“We are.” Piper said and was shocked when Chris nodded. “And now you have come back to stop some evil from taking over.” Well it seemed one of her sons would continue the family business.

“You have proof of this right?” Paige asked wanting to make sure they weren’t lying.

“Yeah we have Proof.” Harry said as Chris pulled the shrunken pensive out of his pocket. It seemed yet again that Leo was the only one to recognize what it was and looked at Harry in shock.

“You’re a Wizard.” It wasn’t a question. He had heard of their kind when he had gone to speak with the elders when the sisters were ‘helping’ the last wizard. They had told him to talk with a Harold Potter about any questions he may have had.

“Yes, but one of the last in our time as we were all hunted and killed, but we will explain everything when we have more time.” Harry said trying to get back to the task at hand.

“Right, the titans, how do you expect to defeat them?” Leo asked

“The same way the elders did the last time.” Chris said with a smirk only to be smacked by his husband. “Ouch, what was that for?”

“You looked like a Slytherin, I had to put a stop to it.” Harry said.

“That is not allowed anymore.” Leo said ignoring Harry’s actions.

“Well it is the only way. By now the elders have been attacked and cleared out so we should be able to orb in, I can accio the thing out, and we can give the sisters the powers so they can defeat the titans.” Chris said proud of his plan. “Harry will stay here incase they attack and you and I will go get it.” This was said to Leo.

“I can’t talk him out of this can I?” Leo asked looking to Harry for help.

“Nope, so you should get going.” Harry said smiling sweetly back at Leo causing the sisters to laugh when Leo groaned.

“If we get in trouble it is all your fault.” He said glaring at his future son.

“To be at fault you would have to be born already, therefore I don’t qualify.” The last thing he heard before orbing away was his husband’s laugh at his comment.
