The Present day darkness

The future - 2051
The hard worn face of Draco Malfoy resumed it's upward stare into a cold half moon. He bitterly wished it was full. He was on a mission of the upmost importance and he needed all the advantages he could get. Wizard police were after him, as well as their muggle counterparts. He risked everything to get here. The middle of the london ruins, he didn't know where George was going to be, as he moved his place every few days. He waited for a signal. A small girl approached him, she tripped and he shot his arm over in front of her to stop her fall. "Shh." He said quickily. Her partner an ebony skined boy with several facial tatoos followed her. "This way." Malfoy snapped sharpliy.
They didn't get too far when the people Draco had been attepting to avoid appeared. "Halt wizard." There were two men, at least, it was assumed they were men, dressed in black armor with several anti charm marks on their chests. "No." The girl at Draco's side lept at one of the men and he faced the other. He shouted back to the other boy who seemed frozen. "Move rookie, this isn't a dress rehersal, now move." He snapped his head around and growled at his oppennet, "I don't have time for you." He leapt into the air and landed staight on the policemen's chest. "Lucky these were muggles." The girl said having dispatched her's.
"yeah, used to take these guys out in half the time. hmm, must be getting rusty." Draco replied. All three snapped their heads around when they heard the crack of appiration. "Sentients!" He shouted. The sentients were wizards employed by the muggles to hunt down rebel wizards. It had made this war impossible to fight, having three sides to contend with. When the war in the wizarding world began, Draco never even worried about muggles, never considering their resoucefulness when they finally learned that day what a threat the magic they thought was make believe was unleashed on them.
He prepared himself to fight and drew his wand. The girl ran up to him. "Draco go, the mission." He eyed her for a split second allowing them to tell him there would be no argument with her. "Come on Rookie, let's go!" The boy looked over at him. "The name is Calliback." Draco grunted, "let's go kid." Calliback was about to say something when the girl lifted her wand and began to blast the sentient. Seeing their cue to escape, both men headed Where Draco had seen the mist appear from.
After several minutes He located a door, but this was no ordinary door. It was in the side of a dumpster. Several wards and defense charms were writen on it. Draco smirked. "George, you out do yourself." He streched out his hand and began to speak in strange tounges the charms erupted in red and then blue light and the door opened to reveal a very large room and an older man with red hair welcomed him. "you are injured." George said matter-of-fact like. Draco gave him an awkward gape. "Who me?" He waived off his own words. "Is it ready?" He asked seriously, somewhat worried. "Yes." The red haired man replied. "Did you get the last piece?" Draco handed him something Calliback couldn't see. He did however see the artifact that they were refering to.
"You have a time portal?" Draco smirked. "You shouldn't call it that. George here is very proud of his work." He walked over to the wall where some names were set in the wall. They were memorial stones, each engraved like a headstone to commemorate the deaths of each of the DA. Draco looked at this for the first time in months. One name among all others stood out. 'Harry Potter 1988-2008'. He closed his eyes and groaned in his own agony. How many times he had wished he'd been there to stop him.
"The legendary army." said Calliback, proud of what that meant. These names were all legendary resistance fighters. They had orginaized rescued and recruited hundreds of wizards. And though the future seemed hopless, their memories were the hope of everyone that cried out for peace. George broke the silence. "It's important that we don't delay." Calliback chuckled. "Yeah...right. So where are you going?" Draco still eyed the names on the wall. "The final year of Hogwarts being open." "why then?" Calliback asked, obviously uncertain what that meant. "The priminister's death." Was Draco's simple reply. George continued for him. "We have a theroy. If the assasination of the prime minister never occoured..." Calliback looked at him in suprise. "Than none of this misery would have happened, none of the Sentients, none of the camps, none of the terminations?" Goerge waived him off.
"As stated, it is only a theroy." Draco cut in. "Make sure Weasely takes it out after I go. I don't want anyone or anything following me." Calliback eyed him suspiciously. "How are you plainin' to get back." Draco looked at the portal which started to flicker. "I'm not." Calliback grimaced, but then, his minds thoughts got the better of him "Save some big shot and suddenly everybody loves eachother, yeah....right." He spat bitterly. Draco looked over to George who was still eyeing some papers and looking at his portal. "You get any better ideas? Were listening kid." Draco said calmly.
Calliback simply decided to end the particular line of questioning for another. "You know how you're gonna stop that assasination?" Draco smirked. "Yeah, by stopping the assasin." Calliback's eyes went wide. "But that means you're going after...." Draco interupted him sharpily. "I know who I'm going after..." Calliback grabbed his mentors wand. "You think you can do that?" Draco snapped his wand out of the kids hand. "Outta my way kid. I have an assasination to stop." Calliback became angry. "No. You don't. I'm goin'. You could barely handle training me old man, you'll never handle a DA. Draco growled at the young man, about to curse him. George grabbed him at the last minute. "Calliback is right, and his youth is an asset."
"You mean I'm too old?!" Draco spat angrily. "With the temporal artifact, he'll have all the information he needs." George replied. Placing a small green stone in calliback's wrist. "Take care, without it, you're spirt and body will be destoryed from the stress of existing outside normal time." George told the young lad as alarms started squawking that their trail of magic had been picked up. "Setients, sooner than I'd hoped." George replied grimly. Draco drew his wand and pointed it at the door. "I'll remember this kid." He said to calliback as he saw the door shudder. The portal came into view and George came over and put his hand on the kid's shoulder. "Go in peace." Calliback sprang for the portal as Draco began engaging some sentients that had gotten through the door.
He saw that the two older wizards were quickly surrounded. Then every thing went a bright shade of grey. He knew his mentors were dead, he only hoped he could be successful in his mission so that Draco, the man he came to idolize would not have given his life in vain. As the travel continued, Calliback lost conciousness as his body went numb. He tried to remember the side effects of long time travel trips. He didn't didn't get far, when he woke in an abandoned alley in london, he knew it worked. He just had no idea what he was supposed to do now.

This is post HBP so anything that you see in the present that might not be canon, please let me know. There will be complicated romances down the road and alot of violence so please be aware of that. Happy reading.
