Draco Malfoy stood on platform 9¾, an irritated expression upon his face, awaiting the arrival of the rest of the slytherin seventh years.
He glanced over at a pair of gryfindor third year students. They were trying desperately to avoid looking at him- Draco guessed the two boys had just gone through puberty over summer. He favored them with a smile, and watched as one lowered his head, blushing. The other, in stubborn gryfindor denial shook his head and tried to fight the compulsion laid down by Draco\'s mere presence. He\'d fail.
Draco knew he shouldn\'t tease the younger students, but he couldn\'t help it. His mate was closer than he\'d ever been before. It was still a great distance, but it was still much closer. His Malfoy training not withstanding, he would have been giddy.
Once again, he wondered at his mate\'s personality.... what would they be like, what they looked like, who their family was, their age, gender- hopefully they was male, after all, the ministry wouldn\'t allow Draco to have children- Dangerous Super cross breeds such as himself wouldn\'t be allowed to procreate. Thus ended the great Malfoy lineage.
Well, he could always adopt- provided he didn\'t mind several years of thorough background search, personality checks, and studies.
His only hope was that his mate would be long lived. Being part vampire could put a strain on a relationship.
He smiled at the third years again, once they\'d been joined by their friends- and managed to make one of the girls start panting, and that same boy blush again. He really was cute when did that.
Being part Veela might remove that strain.
So Draco Malfoy, dangerous vampire/veela/wizard hybrid waited at the platform, his foot tapping irritatedly, as his mind was filled with thoughts of his thus far elusive mate.

Hermione Granger sat alone in a compartment, her head girl badge glowing upon her chest.
Another year of being all by myself- She thought. Ever since the first time she had been on the train, she had been alone. She\'d thought the magical world might be different from hers- people might respect her intelligence, instead of bullying her over it.
She was wrong. The Potters had dissuaded her of that motion quickly enough. She\'d spent the rest of the train ride in the baggage compartment, crying her eyes out.
She had no friends in her own house- Ravenclaws pulled themselves into study groups, and then left every one else out. Including her.
By second year only a few students in the entire school could keep up with her when it came to magic strength- and two of them were magical half-breeds in her own year. When it came to knowledge and theory, she was the unchallenged master.
For her second and third year train rides, she had been forced to ride in the baggage compartment. By fourth year train ride, after she had turned a group of gryfindor seventh years into turnips the year before, she was left alone. People were terrified of her. Even Elizabeth Potter had downplayed the insults out of fear. Glares kept away the first years who didn\'t know better.
After all, even second years had heard of Queen Bitch Granger, who would mutate you if you came within five feet of her.
Sighing, she pulled out a book on Basic Transfigurations. She\'d memorized the text before she started at Hogwarts, but it was nice to go over the basics once and a while.

Ron Weasley was lording over the Gryfindors, and enjoying every moment of it.
Everyone knew that he was James\' closest school friend, and, in Gryfindor and Hufflepuff, that made him King. Provided of course, that James wasn\'t there.
And he wasn\'t. Something about a family gathering at Hogwarts. Oh well- he wasn\'t going to complain.
He went back to enjoying every moment of his dominion, and wondering what would happen this year.

Virginia Weasley sat in a compartment, surrounded by her fellow sixth years. She couldn\'t really call them friends. They were all busy idolizing Potter, and her older brother, so didn\'t notice her pull out a book rather than help in the “Oh they\'re so great” conversation.
Sighing, she wondered if this year would be the same as all the others. She wondered if her sheer hatred of James Potter and her older brother would be discovered.
She knew if that happened she\'d probably be attacked by her housemates.
Ginny was surprised that no one had discovered her darker nature. It was as if Obliviousness was the gryfindor trait, rather than bravery. After all, here she was reading a book called Deepest Darkness and the soul and they were discussing whether Remus was cuter than Sirius- For second place of course- everyone knew that James was the best looking guy out of the Potters- even if they were all close to identical, there magical powers had made each of them slightly different. Remus and Alben had glasses, Elizabeth and James were tall, and so on.
Soon, she was immersed in the book, and a spell designed to summon and bind a Balor- well beyond her level, but interesting beyond doubt.

Harry spent most of the day in the Slytherin common rooms. When he asked the house elves if he could get some lunch in dormitories, they complied.
Harry was just glad he had said a light lunch. He looked over the banquet that had appeared whilst he was in the bathroom, and sighed. He couldn\'t eat most of it.
He grabbed a bowl of Steak Tartare, a plate of Sashimi, some chicken, a platter of meats and an assorted platter of Sushi, before going over to one of the comfortable chairs by the fireplace, and pulling a coffee table over to hold his food. Feeling irritated he hadn\'t bothered to asked specifically for foods, he threw himself into the chair.
By the time he looked back over at the table, the rest of the food was gone- cleaned up by the house elves no doubt.
Once more Harry pulled out a book, but this time, it was for practical research, rather than to pass the time. Since he had arrived in england, his magic had been off. It was almost as if it was searching for something. Magic was one of the few stable things in his life- and he wanted to know why it wasn\'t being stable.

Elizabeth Potter Sat in her dormitory, pondering the mystery behind her absent brother. For the chance to be in the same room as one of the seven saviors of the world, most would cut of their right hand- and yet he had IGNORED THEM. Elizabeth had never been ignored before, and found it gnawing at her insides. What if other people ignored her!?
She couldn\'t allow that. As the most popular girl in the school, she would turn his life into something resembling that Mudblood Hermione\'s. She had to be the most popular- she just had to be. She looked at her hands in shock- it had been years since she\'d bitten her nails.
Muttering a quick charm that made them look long and freshly manicured, she returned to her worrying.

Sirius and Remus Potter were playing chess.
“So what do you think is up with harry?” Sirius Jr asked
“Well, Remus said that he was angry that he\'d was just shipped off for all those years” everyone knew that Remus Idolized the werewolf he had been named after “wouldn\'t you be upset at leaving your family at four?”
“Well,shouldn\'t he just be happy to see us? And besides, it was for his own good- Dumbledore said it was so he didn\'t grow up bitter about his siblings being famous”
“I suppose... checkmate”
“What? How did you...?”

Alben Potter Sat in the Library, going through the Potter family tree.
In the medieval era, when wizarding population levels where low, there where two areas of thought. One was that to increase numbers, wizards would have to interbreed with muggles, and the other was that they should interbreed with humanoid magical creatures.
Thus each major family from that time, who chose the later has its own characteristics descending from these interbreeding times, and some even after hundreds of years, became full halfbreeds, due to magical genetics. Not only that, the potter family only went back to the seventeenth century- he would have to go into ancestors before that, and each and every marriage in the family, as magical genetics could jump family lines.
Sighing, Alben once again wondered why he bothered

In his office, Dumbledore sighed.
He truly had intended it to be for the best. He hadn\'t wanted harry growing up jealous of his siblings. Harry was suppose to become to the younger generation what Remus Lupin was to the older one. An intelligent voice of reason, to combat the brashness of the others.
The worst part was when he had looked into the boys eyes. The hatred in them was beyond belief. Add that to Lupin\'s belief about harry being a creature- one that he himself could not identify, despite his vast knowledge of creatures- and being in Slytherin of all places.
He walked over to one of the tables that contained all of those marvelous little metallic devices, and, ignoring fawkes\'s disapproving glare, dismantled the third one from the right to reveal a large bottle of scotch, an ice tray and a rather large glass.
Headmaster Dumbledore went about trying to get those glaring eyes out of his memory.

AN- OMG i got reviews! i love you all. sorry this one is a bit shorter, its really just a meet the charecters one. now about some of those questions. you will find out soon enough what harry is, and what is up with that snake, and the reason they thought that harry would just jump into there arms was because everyone else did and does- after all they are the bunch who lived. i will reveal what harry is later on.
