“No I’m not, Remy!” Cali moaned, resting her head on the table and banging it slightly.

“Cali, I’m not going to believe that muggles are stupid enough to go running into a brick column.”

“You don’t understand! Draco was almost late his seventh year because some muggle was trying to walk through it. He almost missed the train!”

Remy stared at her friend and shook her head. A steady flow of fire whiskey was the only she could deal with the Malfoy when she went on a rant. “I’m not helping you write a book, Cali. That’s stupid and a waste of time.”

“You don’t care that they’re saying that our families are evil? You don’t care that they are saying that Riddle is a nutter?”

“She didn\'t talk about my family so I’m dismissing the first question. The second question is pointless to answer. Muggles don’t know that our world exists, they just want to believe it, like when you swore up and down that a horned toad fairy exited.” The level headed friend pointed out, smirking as her table mates’ neck turned a pale pink. “Thought I’d forget about it?”

“I saw that damned creature!” Cali exclaimed, her head snapping up, a Malfoy glare in place.

“You saw that thing in a dream. Just admit it already, no one believes you.”

“I’m not admitting what isn’t false.”

Remy stared at her friend and tilted her head. “You know that made no sense, right?” she asked, as if talking to a five year old.

“Damn I Remy, stop talking to me like that! It made perfect sense.”

“Anyways” Remy said, turning the topic back to the actual subject “she’s not selling the books to the wizarding world so I don’t see why you need to prove her wrong. Everyone knows what happened here and that’s all that should matter.”

“You don’t get it! Those snot nosed brats are going to grow up and research things.”

“You mean there going to be intelligent? Oh, alert the bloody Prophet.” That last little comment earned Remy a glare but she shrugged it off.

“You know what I mean!”

“Cali just let it go. You’re making a big deal out of it and when you make a big deal out of something you don’t want known, everyone ends up knowing it.”

The blond witch pouted, folded her arms across her chest, and slammed her back against the chair back. “Please, Remy. You don’t even have to put your name on it.”

“No.”

“Come on, Remy.”

“No.”

“You’re not even going to think about it?”

“No.”

“Are you even listening to me?”

“No.”

Cali raised an eyebrow and smirked. “If you don’t help me, I’ll cut you out of the book.”

“I don’t want to have anything to do with the damn book! Why would I care if you cut me out of it?” Remy exploded, earning the attention of the people around them.

“Hush, Remy, you’ll attract the whole pub.”

Rolling her eyes, Remy focused on her friend and sighed. “I’m only agreeing because I know you’ll be a pain about it if I don’t.”

The squeal that directly followed the agreement drew the attention of the pub once again, this time with glares instead of inquiring eyes.

“When are you starting it?”

“We’re starting tomorrow.”

“I’m busy tomorrow.”

“No you’re not!”

“What did you do, you nit?”

“Nothing, Theodore is busy tomorrow and Millie’ can take care of her own self now, she’s seventeen for the love of Pete.” Cali assured her, a hand on her arm.

“What did you do to my boyfriend and my sister?”

“I didn\'t do anything to either of them. An explosion at the apothecary will be the prime case.”

“What explosion?” Remy asked, her full attention focusing on her now informative friend. “At Theodore’s apothecary?”

“It’s nothing big.” Cali dismissed the subject with a wave of her hand.

“Damn it Cali, you better not have gone and done something idiotic.” Remy warned, looking back to the door of the pub. “I have to go, I’ll meet you tomorrow.”

“Alright, but read this tonight, it’s the first chapter.” Cali demanded, throwing a thick stack of papers on to the table between the two.

Remy looked down at the paper then back up at Cali. “I’m not going to get that done tonight.”

“You have to.” Cali whined.

“I have to clean my house.”

“You use a spell to clean your house.”

“I can’t! Someone spilled un-erasable ink on my couch last night and it can’t be taken out by magic. I have to use Clear and Clean for the muggle stores to clean it.” Remy answered, glaring at Cali, who was pouting.

“I said I was sorry! How many times are you going to throw that in my face?”

“Why we’re you writing on my couch anyways?”

“I was writing the chapter.”

Remy stared at the stack of papers still on the table and reached to pick them up, dreading what the pages held. “Come around at noon.”

Picking up the papers, Remy made her way to the fire place and floo-ed home.

“Hello, Remy, how are you tonight?”

“Hi Millie, I just got done talking to Cali.”

Her Millicent gave her sister a sympathetic look and went back to reading a book. Remy walked to her room in the back of the house and closed the door, thankful to be alone, if just in her room.

“Why did I agree?” she asked herself in the mirror.

She sat the chapter on the table and began to undress, wanting to be comfortable for the torture she was about to endure when she read the damn chapter. With her task done, as slow as she’d even done them but done none the less, she grabbed the chapter and settled down on the bed to read.

“J.K. Rowling’s should not be trusted. I am here to tell you the true story of Hogwarts, Harry Potter, Voldemort, the Malfoys and everything else she’s ever talked about. I’m going to start at the beginning.
James and Lily Potter were not killed by Voldemort, like the demented woman claims. They did truly die in a car crash, something the muggles in the story go right. Harry Potter was in the crash and he died too. I don’t know why J.K. wrote that they were murdered but they weren\'t. There are no sides, just people living together peacefully. Voldemort, who is Tom Riddle, isn’t who you think he his. We don’t call him Voldemort; I don’t even know what his middle name is, if he has one. He’s our Minister of Magic and has been since the books came out, which is a bit interesting, wouldn\'t you say? He doesn\'t hate muggles, but he’s not inviting them to hop the next broom over either.
Almost everything you read in the book is fake.
Sirius Black really did kill all of those people, believe it or not. Peter Pettigrew is Riddles right hand man. Black really can change shapes, but he’s the one that changes into a rat, that’s how he got away, people think.
The Weasley family is also another think I’d like to discuss. Every single Weasley has been sorted into Slytherin. Ron had a rat for a pet, but it was Sirius, not Peter. He’d been running for whoever knows how long but he was found out when he tried to kill Riddle.”

Remy snorted and shook her head; this is going to be a long night. Cali was not only an air head, she wasn’t the best of writers. The brunette witch pinched the bridge of her nose and continued reading with a sigh.

“The Order of the Phoenix is made up too, the only reason she wrote it into the story is because, like with every Minister, there are people that don’t like authority. There have been protests against him and who do you think is the head of the organizations that protest? You guessed it, Rowling. I think she blames Riddle because the Potters were very close friends of hers and she blames him for not finding the people that hit the car. He tried to find the person but it was a lost cause, when people want to disappear in this world, they do so easily.
The Weasley family members were part of those protests. They don’t believe that what Riddle’s doing is right. He’s given up the search. It’s been almost 18 years; I believe it’s time to give it up as well. Don’t get me wrong, I was on the team that donated the most money for the search, I care about what happened to them but it’s like beating a dead horse…well that wasn’t the best phrase I could have used but you understand what I’m saying, unless you’re siding with Rowling.
Oh and the Death Eaters. Give me a break, people! Every person she fingered in the books were part of Riddles party at one time or another. Nott, his son is my best friends boy friend, is a quite guy who’s scared of raising his voice to his wife, how cold he kill a person?”

Remy counted to ten and summoned a quill and ink pot. “I didn’t sign a paper so I’m getting rid of this.” She whispered to herself, slashing out the part about herself and Theodore. She capped the pot and set the quill aside and continued to read.

“Snape, Uncle Snape, is the nicest man on the face of the earth. He’s never been a professor though, he’s not even very skilled in Potions. He’s a charms specialist actually. That bit about foolish wand waving is beyond me. He went and bought my first want with me, made sure I knew how to use it properly before I even went to Hogwarts, he did the same with my little brother, Draco. Speaking of which, he is the nicest brother a girl could ask for. And that “mudblood” that Rowling made it a point to say at every given moment she mentioned my brother, is happily engaged to Drake. Hermione is a pureblood but when Draco started going out with her, she was friends with the Weasley clan.
She still keeps in touch with them but she doesn’t go to any more protests. I think that’s why she got such a bad wrap in the books. She’s the sweetest girl and she’s a dream to look at as well. The description of her is so unfair. She’s got the prettiest hair colour I’ve ever seen. I don’t think she dies it, though; it’s a pretty dirty blonde and goes down to the middle of her back, straight as a board. She has beautiful blue eyes; they almost match Dracos’ actually. The woman is like that Seeker woman she made up, maybe she wanted to write herself in but couldn’t come to lying that horribly.
I’d certainly believe it. She even wrote me out of the bloody book! I, Calico Malfoy, have not been mentioned what so ever in the book. I feel cheated but I’m also happy because she didn’t spread lies about me.”

Remy rolled her eyes and sighed, for someone who didn’t want the muggle world to know about their world, she talked about it enough. Honestly, ‘she cut me out completely’.

“She mentioned Millie too. That crossed the line as well. That’s my best friends’ sister!”

All humor went out of Remy’s mind as soon as she read that sentence. That woman dared to bring her family into that story? Remy had been taking care of Millicent since their parents died eight years ago. They’d both been in Hogwarts for a couple of years and the times that she had to school and Millie didn’t, it was to a year round boarding school for her sister. She hated putting her in there but she’d done the best she could. That woman had no right to drag the Bulstrode name through the mud like that.

“Millie, come here for a minute.” Remy called, opening the door with her wand.

“Yes?” Millie answered, sticking her head through the door and the jam.

“Did you know that Rowling woman was writing about you?” she asked, sticking her wand into the stack of paper to mark her place before setting it aside and patting the bed. “Sit, girl.” She laughed when her sister just stared at her like she’d grown a third eye on her nose.

“Rowling, is that that woman who is leading the protests against Minister Riddle?” Millicent asked, walking into the room and sitting beside her older sister.

“Yes, her.”

“Who would publish a book by her?” Millicent asked, pulling a face.

“Some muggle company.” Remy answered with a shrug. “I wasn’t to horrible to you when you were younger was I?” She asked her younger sister, pulling Millie’s head to rest it on her shoulder and then leaning her head on Millie’s.

“You never let me have a doll to myself.”

“Millicent Bulstrode! Here I am trying to be serious and you….”

“I was joking, Remel Demal.”

“Don’t call me that, Mill, I hate that name.”

She missed her sisters’ eye roll, but it was for the better. “I had a great childhood, Remy. When mum and dad died it wasn’t the best, but you made it good.”

“I love you, Millie.” Remy sighed, kissing her sisters’ head. “I heard that she’s talking about you in the book and the way she’s put a spin on everything else I doubt if your going to come out looking all that good. Have you read them?”

“No, I don’t have time for stuff like that. I’m at Merlin’s School for the Magical and no matter what they say, charms isn’t an easy subject to study.”

“Try Potions.”

“No one told you to go for potions.”

“It appealed to me, much like charms did for you.”

Remy pushed Millie away from her and leaned back onto her headboard.

“Do you want to read a chapter of a story?”

“No, I’ve told you already, Remel Demal, I don’t have time to read.”

Remy looked at her sister and then glanced over to the stack of papers on her bed.

“I’m going to bed, Millie. If Theo floo’s or comes by send him in.” she informed her sister, leaning to give her a kiss goodnight.

“Love you, Remy.”

“I love you too, kid. You’ve grown on me.”

Remy smiled as her sister wrinkled her nose and laughed before she left the room. She put the ‘book’ on her side table and slipped under the covers, wanting to see what Cali am up with, but to tired to read it all in one night. As she was drifting off to sleep she heard her door open and felt a dip in her bed.

“Night, love.” It was Theo. He kissed her shoulder, muttered a spell and slipped into the
bed beside her. She felt a kiss on her shoulder before she turned and nuzzled her head to his chest. The steady beat of her boyfriends’ heart lulled her to sleep, where Cali was only a distant memory, thankfully.
