Midnight Duel.

ok, this is just for those who might not of understood my story. If you did, then you dont have to read, cuz it would be like over explaining a joke to the point where it is no longer funny. ok, its also cuz im bored and a perfectionist. You Happy?

Now, this scene is at night is in the forest surrounding hogsmeade, it is abuot two months after harry was born and b4 snape heard the phrophecy. when the robed wizard appeared, snape really didn\'t know who it was. that was b/c lily(yes, hopefully i was able to make that clear, but if i wasn\'t sorry) and him hadn\'t seen eachother since hogwarts. Now, snape doesn\'t know about her marrying james, even though he knew they were in love, he also did not know about harry. he also does not realise what an active role lily is taking in the order, he knew james would but he thought lily was realtively safe. now, when the duel started lily sounded like she was giving severus hints to her identity, actually this was just banter so that she could slip her wands into her hands unnoticed and attack him, too bad it didn\'t work. Snape saw this and preparerad for the duel, that is why he removed his death eater outfit, easier to mover around w/o it. when the fight began she hadn\'t had the upperhand, so she tried once more to catch him off gaurd b4 she treid the imperius curse, not to mention when he turned around on her she was surprised so she didnt have time to perform something that powerful. (notice that she used a lot of charms, people who read the first book know that that was a hint) so when she had time she hid behind the trees, cuz she knew her wand work was not quick enough to match severus\'s. she didn\'t curse him after the quake charm b/c she knew he could still attack her, and in all due respect she was a liitle scared at the time, he did say he was goin to murder her. Finally when snape broke her wand and wounded her she knew she was defeated, so she revealed herself. she hid her identity from him when the duel started cuz she didn\'t want to remind him of the fact that she could never be with him, she knew that would make him turn away faster, but being a stranger meant she couldn\'t negociate either, so she decided to us the imperius curse. snape of course, being snape thought that she was just doing this so that he wouldn\'t hurt james or anyone else, this made him mad not b/c of james so much as it was b/c she still did not love him enough to be with him. the actual reason she wont be with him is not b/c not only did she still love james, but b/c she also had harry now. but remember, he didnt know, he cut her off. she then realised that he couldn\'t be argued with after he told her that he would remian with the dark lord, it broke her heart too to hear him say that, she still loved him too, but she also knew she loved james, and had a family. so finally she had to give up, there was nothing she could do, she couldn\'t say she wasn\'t with him just b/c of harry, cuz that was a lie, but she couldn\'t tell him it was b/c of james flat out, it would hurt him too much and then he would defintly refuse to go with her. so then she left, if only she had seen severus reach out for her. would they had finally realized there love? Would severus have never heard the phrophcy and lily would still be alive? So, the reason snape hates harry was b/c after lily died, he found out about him, and thought that he was the only reason she wouldn\'t be with him, so he kind of blames harry for lilys death. any questions, ask away-katelynxm
