Chapter Two: The Monsters Prisoner

The royal carriage stirred dust upon the thick dirt road. The jarring shoves announced that they had settled into the rural country side, riding down paths not often traveled, at least not by humans. Blinking his weary eyes, Harry looked at Draco disbelievingly. Not even the slightest bit of fatigue weighed his posture, he was just sitting on the other side of the coach watching the angel sleep. Though this unnerved him to no end, the wingely still being a very self-conscious and shy boy, but he was glad that Draco cared. It had been a tiresome trip for both after all.

Already running into trolls, monsters, bandits, and other nasty creatures, it was assumed the forest, and all its inhabitants, had an affinity for beauty. This was not uncommon on the Slytherin side of the boarder, due to its constant import and export of gold. When certain magical creatures are introduced to gold, they become greedy and coveting monsters, needing to obtain anything of beauty they could. They often swarmed in dark forests, along pathways in hopes of adding to their collections with travelers\' possessions.

Draco had been up for the past two days of the trip. The creatures smelled gold on some part of the carriage, and gathered to obtain it. This, though annoying enough alone, was much worse when the factor of Harry was added in. The trolls and other oddities of the forest would see the amazing and rare creature, and instantly change their plans to make off with him. All the attempts thus far had been unsuccessful, credited to the interferences of a certain blonde prince.

Draco had proven to be well up to the task, but that is what disturbed his protected love. His fighting skills more apparent than ever before, along with a newly fierce nature. His movements were brisk and intense as a rubber-band snap, the actions cruel and remorseless. He was completely unresponsive to his killing, only worrying about Harry\'s safety, and not realizing the vestige of ghastly deviant remains left in their coach\'s wake. Harry was beginning to wonder if all the stress was getting to his dragon. The very nick name ‘dragon\' was starting to adopt a new symbolism. Furthermore, it seemed Draco\'s passion was getting the better side of him as well; An hour rarely went by when Draco was thoroughly ravishing him. Though the extra attention was very touching, Harry soon was feeling claustrophobic with all the affections.

Thought started falling from him like droplets of water, unable to hold on to one with out losing another. His eyes blinked once again, the world getting an extra bit darker. Harry wondered if it was the setting sun, or his setting eyelids that were causing the world to dim.

Looking at his blood splattered savior, Harry silently gaged, hiding it with a timid smile. Watching the blood drip from his brow, Harry saw the smile returned with far too many teeth. He slightly scooted away when Draco sat next to him on his side of the carriage, far too close for Harry. Starting to smell the scent of blood, a faint disgust washed over him in chills. The sick smile dissolved from Draco\'s elegant, now crimson flecked face as he dove in for the kill.

A metallic flavor burst within his mouth as the lips of his love bruised his mouth. Between the forced closeness and the demanding feeling in the intimate gesture, Harry pushed the bloody chin away without thinking, having to use two hands just to move the offending face. Draco gave a dry chuckle.

\"Feisty aren\'t we? And here I thought that troll I just killed was a challenge.\" With all the struggling, Harry had slid down so now he was lying along the bench of the interior. Draco admired the position, looking at Harry\'s now flushed face, noticing a little of his blood drizzling out of his plump lips.

\"Draco, no offence . . . do you think you could clean up a bit? I\'m sorry, I really don\'t like all the blood . . .\" looking to the side, his hands still pushing a blood-stained chest off him.

\"Oh, all right! Goodness! Its just a little troll blood.\" starting to get up, Harry looked at Draco.

\"You didn\'t have to kill it. I\'m sure it would have left after you beat it. . .\"

\"Harry! Why don\'t you understand? That beast was trying to take you! Take you Harry! I had to protect you! Don\'t you appreciate that I do it for you?\" pain seeped into smoky gray eyes, as they begged Harry to understand.

\"I\'m sorry. I guess I\'m just not thinking . . .I . . . \"

\"Its okay. I forgive you, this is terribly stressful for you, I\'m sure,\" warm arms reached around Harry, smudging more blood upon his clothes. Hands still pigmented red with blood tilted Harry\'s face up for a second try at a kiss.

Harry had always been a light sleeper, so naturally he woke up when he was smashed into the side their transport. Looking up and seeing the door to the car, Harry realized the carriage was completely to the side! Straightaway Harry sat up, trying to gather what was going on. With confused and sudden grasp on reality Harry recognized the noise of fighting outside.

Without much ease Harry managed to climb to the door, sticking his head through it. Looking out, the confused male could see the retreating forms of the guards.

\"Your highness! You must get out of here! There\'s a-\" the end of the sentence was replaced by wide eyes, directed toward the commotion occurring behind the oblivious prince. Promptly the man ran from him, leaving Harry to ponder what was going on. Turning Harry decided it was time to see what in hell was going on. Oh \"in hell\" indeed.

. . . Cruoremtis
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
To call a Cruoremtis a demon would be an insult. Though rational when it benefitted them, the creatures never showed mercy. No matter what, a Cruoremti gets what they want, wether it be information, material goods, or just a nice satisfying kill. Harry wasn\'t too afraid of being killed, being a fellow magical creature, the Cruoremtis would not kill him, for they favored humans as their sacrifices. That didn\'t mean he wasn\'t afraid though. His relationship with Tom had familiarized Harry with one of the many things worse than death. The Cruoremti would most likely enjoy something as exotic as a wingely, so Harry concluded it was most likely a good idea not to reveal his wings.

Cruoremtis resembled people in their humanoid anatomy. Protruding from behind, six wolf tales steadied the creatures, giving them an instantly unrefined look. With long nails, fangs, and eyes slanted from constant sneering, the creature proved to be quite dangerous. The largest difference from a Cruoremti and a human was their peculiar coloring, often having pale skin of odd shades like blues and greens, with matching hair, however opposite eyes of yellows and reds.

Silently Harry scanned the pathway surrounding the carriage for Draco locating him he saw he was paired against four of the cruel beasts. Blocking countless curtails of swords, Draco looked rather run down. Dodging one swift slash by a spear, only to have a dirk embed into his shoulder

\"Well, what is this?\" a smirking voice came from above the frightened prince. Looking up, the wingely stared at a very unusual looking one. Oddly this creature was white, with matching hair, and milky lavender eyes. Crouching on the carriage, next to him, the creature continued, \"Aren\'t you pretty, you don\'t look like a human to me . . . \" still smiling the creature started nearing him.

A bestial snarl emanated from behind Harry. \"Leave him be, that is mine.\" A low voice rumbled into their conversation. With a disappointed look, the creature quickly backed away. Despite the cocky nature, this ethereal and deceiving lavender-eyed monster was apparently not the leader. However, Harry would have rather faced him than the one coming at him replacing the ivory monster.

Without turning around, Harry felt his anger boil, \"I\'m not yours.\" The defiant gryffindor chin made an appearance, held up high. Turning Harry faced the large beast. Standing at 7 ft at least, he had a foot and a half on Harry\'s meager 5\' 6\". The monster resembled a cross between a lion and a man. Fur everywhere on the creatures body completely betrayed the dignified air of the refined clothes. Large eyes held the depths of horrors never imagined, standing up strait, intelligence soaked off the creature despite his obvious talent in brawn, muscles and overpowering. Still drawing near, the beast spent an unusually long time gazing into Harry eyes, and Harry into his, sensing some odd feeling. With a proliferating cloak swish, the creature went the opposite direction.

\"Kill the slytherin Prince.\"

\"NO!\" running to Draco, who was on the ground with no visible wounds, Harry stood in front of him. Looking for the large beast, Harry turned around, but couldn\'t spot him. A distinct ache instantly numbed his thoughts, while darkness created large holes in his vision till only the holes remained, and darkness consumed him.

The second time that day Harry awoke in utter chaos. His head slightly bumping upon a warm back. He watched as trees flew by, a headache from hanging upside down was developing. Flashes of what had happened bombarded his still groggy mind. Processing finally that he was slung over someone\'s- something\'s shoulder.

\"Put me down,\" His own calm voice startling his ears.

\"No. You are not well.\"

\"Well of course. And banging me against you while I hang upside down is going to help?\" Harry was really acting strange, but he really didn\'t care anymore, he just wanted to make sure Draco was okay.

\"Sleep,\" Casting a spell, the monster made sure the prince was sleeping. Switching positions and carrying him Bridal style, the monster checked the cut on the boy\'s forehead.

Warm silk sheets offered no comfort to Harry as he looked around the lavish room. He didn\'t care anymore. Draco was gone, he was in a room, and he\'d get out or die trying. Mid rant he realized a major hindrance; his clothes, or rather lack of clothing.

\"I see you are awake.\" Not even hearing the door open, the slim boy jumped successfully falling of the bed.

\"Well, you are a graceful one, aren\'t you, Harry?\" chuckling the beast was already on the other side of the bed. Standing up with haste, Harry had a sheet gathered around his waist, backing toward the wall he looked at the beast accusingly.

\"Who the hell are you, why do you know my name, where am I, and what happened to Draco?\"

\"I\'m so glad you are showing such cultured manners and not bombarding me with questions.\" From a cross the room the sarcastic creature seemed almost human, but as it neared the small wingely, Harry couldn\'t stop the shivers forming on his back from turning into a full-blown shudder. Noting his fear, the monster continued in his educated deep voice, \"You may call me ‘Os\', I\'m honored you asked ‘who\' I was rather than ‘what\' I was.\" The beast, \"Os\" said cynically, \"I know your name because I heard your desperate companion say it so continually. To resume the parade of answers, you are at my castle, and your companion was left unconscious at the battle. I don\'t know or care if he is alive.\"

Completely forgetting his size, the petit youth launched himself at the monster, \"YOU BASTARD!\" screaming, Harry\'s quiet nature lost in a fit of rage. \"What the hell\'s your problem? How can you just ‘not care\'? That\'s my fiance!\" The beast easily caught Harry, snatching his upper arm tightly enough to hurt, but not injure him. Slightly Suspended Harry glared at the feral face in front of him.

\"Shut up,\" The calm voice brought Harry out of anger and right into mutual coldness. Os seemed taken aback by the viscously composed lull that came from the boy.

\"Two questions, then.\"

\"Yes?\"

\"When are you going to let me out of here?\"

\"I don\'t plan on it. You\'ll have to get used to my humble abode.\" Though the monster was obviously not serious about his large castle, which was anything but humble, but Harry feared that the rest of the statement was true. The thought of staying in the same house as the thing that could have killed Draco made him sick. \"You had two questions?\" the dignified creature raised a hideous eyebrow.

\"Why do you hate Draco so much?\" the monster was startled, very few people read his emotions that easily.

\"Let me assure you, I simply hate him with all my heart and soul, for his being.\"

\"What has he ever done to you?\" still quiet, Harry pulled the rapidly falling sheets back up to his waist with arm he wasn\'t suspended by. He wanted to at least maintain some of his modesty.

\"Let me put it this way: I knew him once. I hate the man he has become. You should too, if I were you I\'d be ashamed for loving that bastard.\"

\"Oh go to hell.\" Coldly but detached Harry\'s voice, his eyes fading into hollow pools of emerald in a familiar way.

\"Oh, I\'ve already been there.\" The voice began to convert more carnal by the second, and he threw Harry to the ground. Once again he found a medium of force not causing a detriment but successfully displaying barely controlled rage. \"I live in hell! Let me tell you right now prince, Life is hell. No matter what the fairy tales say, the only happiness you will find is the sweet release of death.\"

\"Why are you doing this? What is the point of keeping me!? Would you like to be the one to give me that sweet release? Are you planning to kill me? Torture me?\" viscously he spat the words, pushing his small body up, the green-eyed seraph rested on his arms glaring at the creature.

\"I don\'t know. I suppose I thought it wrong for a foolish butterfly to be stuck in a mendacious web spun by a persuasive spider. No, Im not going to kill yo-\" clutching his head, the monster\'s voice reached to unintelligibly primitive growls. Still having a difficult time talking and even just standing strait the Os looked away, \"I . . . I need to . . . go. \" His back hunched more, and Harry pondered how hard it was for the creature to walk up right, it seemed he was made to walk on all fours. Oddly Harry started to pity the poor thing, which was quickly retreating, However the click of a lock reminded him that he was, in fact, the monster\'s prisoner.
