A Hogwarts Story

"Harry, we don't even know where they're gonna be at." Ron said, as they left the common room.

"I do." Harry said, fixing the cloak, so both are covered.

"What? How?" Ron asked, looking confused.

"I heard Serena telling Hermione." Harry said.

"That was lucky. Even still, they're not stupid." Ron said.

"What do you mean?" Harry said.

"I mean, they can probably sense that we're there." Ron said.

"Well, if it kills me, i'm gonna find out." Harry said.

"I think--" Ron said.

"Quiet. Someone's coming." Harry said, as they stopped walking.

Sure enough, Harry was right. Todd and Hannah were coming from the Slytherin Common room and Casey and Nicole were coming from the Ravenclaw.

"What the deal with this?" Todd asked coldly.

"You know Thackery..." Nicole said.

"It's about the Potter kid." Casey said.

"What about him?" Hannah asked.

"He wants to figure out what to do with him." Casey said.

"Killing him would be nice." Todd said.

"We can't do that." Nicole said.

"Must we can do is expell him." Casey said.

"Well... what about Serena?" Hannah asked.

"What about her?" Casey asked, defendly.

"Well, i'm sure Thackery isn't too thrilled with her being all nice to the Potter kid." Todd said.

"No, he's not. But she must have her reasons." Nicole said, shaking her head.

"Come on, let's go... it's not safe here..." Casey said, looking around.

"Yeah, it's not...." Hannah said, looking in the area where Harry & Ron stood.

"Wow, that was wicked..." Ron said, as he saw the High Prefects go out of sight.

"I wanna know what they have against me." Harry said, getting angry.

"Harry, i wanna know just as bad as you do. But they're not stupid. They sense we were here." Ron said.

"Ron, i don't care, you can go back to the common room, if you want, but not me." Harry said.

"Well, let's go then. I'm with you." Ron said.

The 2 best friends started walking again. Towards the Great Hall. Harry's mind raced and raced with wonder of why Thackery and his friends hated him. It raced even more of why Tristin, Thackery's little brother, hated him. He, Harry never did anything wrong to these people. He never even heard of them, outside the Quidditch teams, they played on. That was the only time he heard about them cause of Quidditch. And now, here they are, former students of Hogwarts, back at his school, during one of his years. Yet he still wondered how they knew Hermione so well. The walk to the Great Hall seem to take forever, as his mind raced and raced. It seem like hours they had walked from the common room to the Great Hall.

"Harry, are you okie?" Ron asked.

"Huh? sorry, yeah, just thinking." Harry said.

The doors of the Great Hall were open a little. Ron and Harry were able to sneak in without the doors making any kind of noise.

"You're late." Thackery said.

"Sorry bloke." Casey said.

"We ran into our sense." Todd said.

"We're not alone then." Thackery said.

"Seems that 2 little Gryffindors are out of their beds." Serena said.

"What should we do??" Nicole asked.

"I don't know..." Serena said, looking at Thackery.

"Thackery?" Hannah asked.

"Leave them." Thackery said.

"It has been brought to my attention that certain students want to know why dislike a fellow student." AJ said.

"yeah, the Hufflepuffs are wanting to know." Mina said.

"And they never will." Thackery said.

"Who should not be named is coming..." Todd said.

"Yes, we know." Serena said.

"What should we do?" Casey asked.

"He is coming for Potter." Thackery said.

"And???" Nicole asked.

"We will do nothing. This is not our fight. It is between Voldemort and Potter." Thackery said.

"Thackery!! Potter will surely be killed!!!" Serena said.

"IT IS NOT OUR FIGHT, SERENA!! YOU KNOW THAT AS WELL AS I DO!!! WE CAN"T PROTECT THAT FOOLISH BOY!! HE IS NOT OUR KIN NOR OUR PROBLEM!!" Thackery said, angrily.

"Well, that may be. The least we can do is see that he is properly trained." Serena said.

"That is not our place but the teachers of Hogwarts." Thackery said.

"You do what you must and want too. And so will i." Serena said, shaking her head and headed for the doors of he Great Hall.

"Serena. Stop." Thackery said. Serena stopped halfway from the doors and the teacher's table.

"What, Thackery?" Serena said, seemly sad.

"We can't do anything if we wanted too. We have our orders. We are not to do anything to help Potter." Thackery said, placing his hands on her shoulder.

"I know, but it's not his fault." Serena said.

"I want to believe that. I do." Thackery said.

"He was a child, Thackery! No older than our own brothers and sisters." Serena said.

"We have our orders." Thackery said.

"Calm down the both of you. Please." Mina said.

"He is right." AJ said.

"As is she." Mina said.

"But it's not our place to protect Potter. We were asked not too." Casey said.

"More like told." Nicole said.

"I know that." Serena said.

"Look, let's go to bed and we'll talk about it more tomorrow." Thackery said.

"Good idea." Todd said.

They all said good night and each headed towards their common rooms. Watching them go out of sight, Ron looked at Harry.
"Are you okie?" Ron asked.

"i'm wondering who asked them." Harry said.

"Maybe it was the headmaster." Ron said.

"Or Voldemort." Harry said.

"They don't seem to be friends with him. I mean, they don't have the dark mark." Ron said.

"I'm betting" Harry said.

"Come on, let's go before we get caught." Ron said.

"Right." Harry said.

The 2 raced back and made it safely and quietly into their common room.

"Enjoy the show?" asked a voice as they came back.

"Hermione... what are you doing up??" Ron asked.

"I was talking to Michelle and Tristin, who just got up and left just as the door open.

"Probably thought it was Thackery and Serena." Harry said, coldly.

"No, Tristin and Michelle don't get yelled at for being up after hours, as long as they're in the common room.

"Lucky them." Ron said.

"Well, they're more mature for Fourth years." Hermione said.

"How do you know so much about them?" Harry asked.

"I have to go to bed. Night boys." Hermione said, as she got up and headed to the girls' room.

"She knows something..." Ron said, watching Hermione go out of sight.

"Well, i'm sure she will tell us when she can. I'm not gonna force her to say anything." Harry said.

"I see you two are out of bed." came Thackery's voice behind them.

"Sorry, sir. We were talking to Hermione." Ron said.

"I see. Well, Miss Granger isn't here.... off to bed with you both." Thackery said, coldly.

"The Cloak........ Mr. Potter." Serena said.

"Please, ma'am. It's the only thing i have of my father's." Harry said.

"The cloak.. now. Mr. Potter." Serena said.

"yeah ma'am." Harry said, sadly, giving the cloak to Serena.

"We can't have you goofing around the castle at night.... might get caught by somebody.." Serena said.

"I'm sorry?" Harry asked.

"We're not stupid, Potter." Thackery said.

"We sense things that others don't." Serena said.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Harry said, looking at Ron.

"Well, in that case. 50 points from Grffyindor. For lying and being out of bed." Thackery said.

"But--" Ron said.

"Wanna make it each?" Thackery said, coldly.

"No sir. Sorry." Ron said.

"Off to bed with you." Serena said.

"Night sir. Night Ma'am." Harry said, as Ron and him headed to the boys' room.

"Think he knows?" Serena asked, looking at Thackery who moved towards the fire.

"No, he knows we have something to do with Voldemort's coming and may think we are friends with Voldemort. But not why we strongly hate him." Thackery said.

"Think this will work?" Serena asked.

"it's possbile." Thackery said.

"So our little act tonight worked?" Serena asked.

"I'm guessing." Thackery said.

"And Voldemort coming? what are we gonna do about that?" Serena said.

"I wish i knew, Serena. I wish i knew." Thackery said, looking into the fire.

"Come, my sweet. Bed. We both need our rest. We have practice in the morning." Serena said.

"Ahh that we do, my love. That we do." Thackery said.

Serena gave him a hug, said good night and headed to her room, on the 9th floor of the girl's tower. Thackery returned the hug, said good night and headed to his room, on the 9th floor of the boys' tower.
