Chapter One
“Lost Potter? Last I checked, this was MALFOY Law Firm.”
“Sod off Malfoy. I’m here to see my dad.”
“Boys, I didn’t expect to see you so soon. Your fathers are still in their business meeting. Lucius asked me to send you into his main office. They should be out of the conference room shortly.”
“Thank you Salene.” Draco said walking into the room. He sat in one of the leather chairs arrogantly while watching Harry close the doors behind him. Harry rolled his eyes at the childish antics of his biggest school rival, smiled, nodded and sat down to wait. It was no secret their rivalry was bred from their fathers hate, everyone in the Montana business world- children included- only wondered how far each boy was willing to walk down the same path in the same shoes.
“Boys, your fathers’ will see you now. They will be in Mr. Malfoy’s office momentarily.” Salene said. Her blonde hair fell over her shoulders, hiding her face, as she went back to work on the file in front of her.
Draco stood and squared his shoulders. “Let’s get this over with.” He muttered.
Harry smirked. “Scared of your own father Malfoy?” Harry taunted. “I thought you weren’t scared of anything.” He said.
“I am NOT scared of my own father Potter. Unlike you, I don’t run from my shadow.” Draco spat.
“Sod off Malfoy. Everyone knows that the soccer team is better than the football team. And besides, I know what your biggest fear is. It has already come true.” Harry said arrogantly.
“Bite me Potter, you know nothing about me. You hear me, nothing.” Draco said through clenched teeth as they walked through the office door.
Harry closed the door and smirked. “sure, ok…looser.” He said.
That was it. Draco threw the brunette against the door and pinned him there with his weight. “I DARE you to say it again Potter.” Draco seethed.
Harry gulped. Even though the entire school knew there was something different about Harry Potter, only the soccer team knew he was bisexual. His own worst fear was going to come true if Draco got any closer to him.
The soccer team had sworn to secrecy and they were ok with their second star player “swinging both ways” as Dean had stated. It was both a blessing and a curse to the 16 year old “home grown” boy. His father didn’t agree with -though he tolerated- homosexual relationships and Harry didn’t want to soil his father’s name after he had worked so hard to gain one for himself.
“Malfoy…move…just back off…please just back off.” Harry begged quietly. His body was already betraying him and he didn’t want to fuel Draco’s ammunition. His eyes were looking anywhere but at Draco as the blonde’s eyes widened with realization at what Harry was hinting at. He smirked and let him go a minute before the door to his father’s private conference room opened allowing four men to exit.
“Hello Draco, and you must be Harry. My you do look just like your father.” A lithe man with red hair said to Harry.
“Yes, Author, this is my son, Harry. Harry, this is Mr. Weasley and Mr. Granger.” James said. Harry nodded, smiled and shook their hands trying his best to avoid eye contact with Draco.
“Hello again Draco. It’s good to see that you are still staying out of trouble. Glad to hear that you made QB for the school.” Author said.
“Thank you Mr. Weasley. How’s business for you both?” Draco asked politely.
“Same as usual.” Mr. Granger replied.
“Yes, boring really. But I think the news you’re about to receive should liven your spirits. We have to be going now though.” Author said.
Draco nodded as both men left the office closing the door behind them.
“Father, if I might ask, what is this about?” Draco asked when the door was finally closed.
“Yeah Dad, Why here and now? What\'s so important that you couldn’t tell me at home?” Harry asked.
“Well, boys, this is time to bring out the Brandy and celebrate. We have a new partnership.” Lucius said.
“That’s great Dad.” Harry said.
“Congratulations Father. That is wonderful news.” Draco said.
“So who’s your new partner Dad? Who’d you score the deal with?” Harry asked.
“Say hello to my new partner Harry.” James said nodding his head to the platinum blonde haired man sitting beside him.
“No.” Draco whispered to himself more than to anyone else in the room.
Harry’s face was pale and his lips were sealed. James knew that was never a good thing. He looked to Lucius, his old school rival, who looked at him and nodded. With that simple gesture, he told him that the shock would wear off soon and both boys would be racing for their cars.
“Dad, I have to go. There’s a project due for school. Dean and Seamus are gonna help me with it.” Harry said standing quickly.
“Father, I will see you at home. I’ll be at Blaise’s house studying for an upcoming test.” Draco said.
Both boys made their way seemingly calm to the elevator and stepped in both allowing angry scowls to form on their faces once the metal doors slid shut. It wasn’t until they were almost to the bottom that Harry started to panic. Draco had stopped the doors from opening with the emergency stop button once it had stopped.
“Malfoy…what are you doing?” Harry asked shifting uneasily from foot to foot as Draco cornered him.
“Tell me Potter…” Draco paused to lay a chaste kiss to Harry’s neck before moving to his ear. “What is your biggest fear?” He asked as the elevator doors slid opened and Draco left smirking at Harry’s lack of control over his body.
“Bloody hell Harry, control yourself boy.” Harry muttered as he made his way to his car. He never noticed a pair of ice gray eyes boring into his back as he got into the car and drove away, nor did he notice the smirk of victory, small as it was.
