Detention Isn't Always The Best Punishment

This story probably won't be over 5 or 6 chapters. Sorry folks!

Detention Isn't Always The Best Punishment.

Friday afternoon rolled by. It felt as if I were standing outside my life, watching the day tick by in an unbelievably high speed. History of Magic, however, was a different story. As soon as my body stepped into the room, time stood still. Professor Binns was moving slower than a snail and his voice seemed to resemble a foghorn on low power. How can ONE man-er ghost- be so boring?

I crossed my legs and narrowed my eyes on my books. I sighed once more and looked toward my left. Strangely, Harry Potter was looking at me. His eyes were narrowed as if trying to read something that was written across my forehead. 'Oh God, he suspects something.'

I rolled my eyes and as soon as Professor Binns turned his back, I shot him an obcene fingure gesture toward him. He glared and returned it before turning back around in his seat. But, to my great and wonderful luck, Hermione Miss-Oh-So-Perfect Granger was glaring at me too now. Before I could give her the same treatment I gave Pottyface, the bell rang. I was so surprised that I jumped up and felt my heart beat wildly in my chest. Oh God! This is it. After one torturously long Defense Against The Dark Arts class....my detention would be taking place...with Sirius. Sirius Black, who kissed me, was going to be sitting with me in a room...alone...for God knows how long. Hopefully forever. Hopefully he'd kiss me again.

"Miss Drake?" I snapped my head up to see an empty classroom and Professor Binns before me. "Huh?"

"Miss Drake, it is awfully impolite to address a professor with 'huh'...But, to spare you anymore lost time, perhaps you should get to your next class." He swished away, disappearing into the wall. His words took seconds to sink in, but it felte foe forever.

"OH MY GOD!" I scooped my books into my arms and ran out of the classroom. How could Sirius affect me this much? One kiss and here I was, losing my mind.

I skidded to a halt outside the classroom and felt horrible as soon as I saw the entire class already seated in their seats. So much for my punctuality! I ducked my head and slid through the door. Anyone could see that I was acting very non-Slytherin at the moment. Embarassed for being late? Ducking my head in shame? Dear GOD! I'm turning Hufflepuff!

"Nice of you to join us, Miss Drake." Professor Black said, crossing his arms over his chest. I wanted to roll my eyes, but restrained myself and slid into my seat next to Potter. This time, I unpacked my things and took out a quill to do notes.

"Today, class, I think we will begin our lesson with vampires. Now, there are many ways of recognizing a vampire. One is their reflection..." I wrote every word he said down, until I made the mistake of looking him in the eye. His grey orbs were fixed on mine and a flame flickered between us. Oh, I knew Harry could feel the heat radiating off of my body. He had to of smelled my pheramones...I felt like a bitch in heat. One look from Sirius could do this to me? How was I going to react when we did more than kiss? Explode?!

The quill stopped writing on the paper. My hand stopped moving, and I could feel my stomach tighten with anxiousness. Could it be possible that I'm dreaming? Is that why Sirius kissed me? No, it couldn't be...as tas too real to be a dream. "Miss Drake." I jumped slightly and looked up to see Sirius. "Sorry."

I looked quickly down at my notes, and slapped my hand over the words I had written. Why was I such a ditz sometimes? I had written 'kiss me' over and over again. To top that off, I was almost certainly sure Potter had saw. Immediately after slapping my hands on my paper, Harry scoffed. I was turning Hufflepuff...Not anymore! I have to live up to my house name!
I shut my eyes. Detention wouldn't be the only hard thing to get through today. Just sitting in this class, letting my mind wander, is going to be hell.

"Today, I want to give a demonstration of a spell that is used very often in ridding yoursof aof a vampire attacker." Sirius stuck his hand out of his coat pockets and grabbed his wand off of his desk.

"Form a line, please." My stomach twisted more, if it were possible, as the students started forming a very haphazard line. I stood up, one of the last ones to do so, and pushed my chair in. As I was making my way to the middle of the line, where I spotted Christie ushering me over, I heard someone call my name. But they didn't say Samantha...They said Miss Drake..and only one person called me that. I turned on my heel and swallowed a hard lump in my throat.

"Would you come up here and help me demonstrate this?"

"Y-you don't have any real vampires comin' at me do you?" Sirius smiled at my own attempt to calm myself with a joke. To let you know, it didn't work. My nerves were working OVER time to just keep up with the rest of me.

"No, Miss Drake. But, you will be hitting a dummy." Joy. That seems stupid, and I could tell I was going to get embarassed just looking at the damn dumb doll. I fetched my wand and waited for Sirius to give me the curse.

"Now, say very clearly Incendio Luminos." I nodded and watched as he did the properly wrist movement. Suddenly, a plan started circling around in my mind...I had to fight the urge to give a big grin when Sirius backed away to give me room. Instead of the two flicks he demonstrated, I did two swishes, knowing he'd correct me.

"Incendio Lumos." A thin thread of golden light shot from my wand, arched in the air, and barely reached the dummy. "No, no, Miss Drake...Like this." Sirius stepped beside me, and spoke the correct l anl and did the correct movement. Instead of my tiny, pathetic little spell, Sirius' came out like his wand had a beam of sunlight pouring from the tip. "One more time."

I swished again, and before I could even mutter the spell, Sirius took my hand. From behind me, he held my wrist right and flicked it once, then twice, slower than he had showed me. I wanted to think that he just wanted to touch me longer, therefore took longer to show me. "Two flicks, no swish."

"Sorry." I cleared my throat, and did the proper spell. A few clapped when an eruption of light shot out of my dark, cherry wood wand. I turned to my fellow Slytherininkiinking at Christie and boying to the others. "Alright, head to the back, showoff." A few Gryffindors laughed at him, and I gave him a scowl, though I was ecstatic on the inside. As soon as I joined Christie at the back of the line with my fellow house members, she took my by the wrist to lead me away from the line. "Were you flirting with the teacher? You're a d slu slut."

I slapped her arms and batted my eyelashes. "Don't hold back on the compliments. And yea, I am flirting. I didn't see you exactly staying clear of Malfoy, ya know."

She smiled maliciously. "With Pansy in the hospital wing, and I won't brag too much about that, Draco is free to flirt, kiss, and...do other things with anyone he wants."

We both giggled evilly. It probably seemed to the others that we were plotting someones death other than talking about boys.
"Girls, get back in line. Miss Drake, you can take your seat." Christie rolled her as as I smirked, heading back to my seat. The rest of the line moved on easily with no 'interuptions' like mine. And finally, the last person finished with their spell, and Sirius dismissed the class. I sat in my seat as everyone else stood up to walk out the door. Christie walked to my desk and bent down to be face to face with me. "Go easy on him, girlie."

"Who are you to order me about and call me girlie?" I stuck my tongue out at her and watched her walk away. I wasn't feeling as nervous as I was earlier. Just as the door clicked shut, the nervousness swept back over me as imeonmeone was pouring it over my head like a waterfall. But, I certainly did not show it. I crossed my legs under the desk and smirked my pale lips.

"What should I do? Clean the cabinets? Clear out the bookshelves and dust them? Filch has given me every type of detention there is. You couldn't spurprise me with anything." Sirius pushed off his desk and stepped around the table I sat at. It ct met me off gaurd, but I recovered as soon as he sat down in Potters chair. "Teach me."

"Are you insane?"

"Yes, now get up there, and teach me yesterday's lesson." The color drained from my face. I didn't take notes yesterday, nor did I even hear one word uttered...

"But. You cut the class short yesterday. How could I possibly teach what you were suppose to teach...when you didn't even do it properly." My stare harded on his. Through all our arguing, I didn't even realize he was less that a foot away from me. "Being a professor isn't all fun and games you know...Now, get to teaching."

"You're so insane!"

"YES I AM! And I have authority over you, meaning I could send you to the headmaster if you call me insane one more time!" I rolled my eyes and stood up in the middle of his threat. With my hips swaying, I walked to his desk and sat down. The papers scattered around his desk looked nothing familiar from what I heard today. So I guessed that it was what he covered yesterday. With a growl, I pushed my hair out of my face and stared at Sirius. "If we're re-inacting scenes from yesterday...would you like me to yell at you and kick you out of my class?"

"Do what ever you please...It's your class." He did not want me to do what ever I pleased...He would be fired if I did whatever I pleased.

"Today, we will begin with...with..Professor, sir...please, I've learned my lesson. I will do my work in class and I won't doze off-" Sirius raised his hand and I sighed, pointing at him so he could speak. "May I suggest that you skip yesterdays lesson and begin with where you dozed off today?"

"Vampires are stupid, and ugly, and I have never met one so we don't have to do a damn thing about it. Class dismissed." I stood up with a grin on my face, but Sirius quickly crossed to my desk. He leaned over, putting the palms of his hand on the cold surface.

"We could be here all night." I wish. "If you want to leave, then do as I say. The quicker you do this, the quicker you can go." He didn't move from his position. How could he not see that all I wanted to do WAS stay here all night? Or...maybe he did know.

Was his anger an excuse to get me angry and therefore, stay here for an extra hour or two? I folded my fingers together on the desk and stared back up at him. "Mr. Black, please have a seat or I will keep you after class...If there are no any other disruptions, I will start with Vampires." I spoke the last part through clenched teeth. If I was correct about his plan, I certainly was getting angry. But, playing along may be fun. For once, I was the one in control.

I smirked. Sirius wanted to play hard with a Slytherin eh? Tonight, I would give him the definition of 'bad'. "You know, Mr. Black, what could be worse than this? If I was to hear the entire lesson again. It's so hard to pay attention when you're speaking. I admire you a great deal, and it's just so hard to keep focused on the lesson. Let me demonstrate." I stood up from my seat at Professor Black's desk and licked my lips. Sirius' eyes were on mine, and I knew it was taking all his strength for him to keep them on my face.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no buxom beauty straight from the pages of WickedWitch Magazine. But, I am equipped well where I'm suppose to be. I walked around the desk, picking up the parchment from which I was reading from earlier. As soon as I was in front of the desk, standing before Sirius so he could see the length of my body, I pulled my self up on the desk.

Without looking at him, I crossed my legs over the other, making sure that my skirt was exposing a great deal of skin on my thigh.

Did the Headmaster and Headmistress not realize that there are teenage girls in this school? We Slytherins are famous for masking our shorter than should be skirts around teachers. But, the way Sirius was looking at me, I was almost positive that he has already seen this trick done.

"Vampires are dangerous to every kind. Despite the fact that they only come out at night, the deaths from the creatures are great." I paused and looked at Sirius. His eyes were fixed on mine still. He looked amused, and uncomfortable. Perhaps his britches were too tight? Perhaps I hit a soft spot?

Let's see how he handles this one. As I started speaking again, I reached up to the top button of my blouse. My fingers played there a second as I continued to discuss traits of vampires. "...They have no reflection, and are frightened by crucifixes." One button snapped, revealing a sliver of my white skin.

"Holy water, blessed by any priest, can stop these creatures at for a moment, but it takes more than that to stop them completely." My hand slid down the row until I stopped at the next button. Within seconds it was released from it's grip, and my chest was almost all exposed. The tops of my lace bra could be seen.

"The spell, Incendio Luminos, is often used to kill or injure the creature." Sirius squirmed. I peeked over the top of the parchment and grinned. He was not taking notes. "Mr. Black, why are you not following along?" I watched a bead of sweat roll down his temple. Sliding off the desk, slowly, I set the parchment down on the corner, and walked to my pupil.

He still had no answered me. From the look of uncomfort on his face, I can guess why. "Mr. Black, are you deaf today?" Sirius looked up at me sharply and behind his grey eyes, I saw fire. Oh, this was too good to be true! I heated this man until his blood was nearly boiling out of every opening in his glorified body. But, just when I thought he was going to give in to my intentions, he looked away. "You're dismissed." He said coldly, as if we had never shared such a beautiful kiss the previous day. I couldn't let this be the end!

"I thought you said I was the professor--"

"Now, Miss Drake." Sirius said more forcefully, making my smile fade off my face, and off my world entirely. He couldn't have killed me more unless he had used the Avada Kedavra curse itself.

"Fine." I snapped, slamming my hands on my books before jerking them into my arms. Within a few steps of the door, I turned around. Sirius was still in my seat, not looking after me. "

Just to let you know, this detention as you called it, helped me none. Expect to see the same behaviour from me tomorrow, just like previous days." I turned on my heel and reached the door. I could have ran out then, but I stayed for his response. And it was a heart stopper. "I wouldn't expect anything more from a Slytherin like you."

Thanks for reading!!! Tomorrow I will add yet another chapter! Hopefully better than the last! ;)
