the day they met
It was a beautiful day out at the beach. Draco had been talked into going with Harry and his friends to the beach, Stupid muggle place where he saw no point in going. Just as the day hit noon and the sun was high in the sky a figure appeared next to the shore close to where he was sitting. The light was in his eyes he could really get a good look at the girl but he didn’t care he knew that she was the girl of dreams. The bright silhouetted her as if she was an angel sent from the heavens to guide him. He had to know her name. He got up and ran over to her.
“Excuse me miss, my name is Draco and I would love nothing more than to know your name.”
She giggled a little. It was the most beautiful sound that had ever graced his ears.
“My name is Sandy.”
They continued on after this short intro for what seemed like hours. They retreated to an enclosed part of the beach a few yards away. The sun was about to set and the calls from the fellow Hogwarts students filled the air.
“I must go. I fear I will never be able to see you again. I want you to know this has been the best day of my life.”
And with that he disappeared. The school term started shortly after. Draco never mentioned what had happened that day to anyone but he had often daydreamed of that angel’s face on a very frequent occasion. The sorting ceremony seemed to be the longest one he had ever had to endure. No new faces this year worth noticing. When the feast was finally over he retired to the common room with the others. Pansy was right by his side as always but he was listening to what she was saying about her summer he was still thinking of Sandy.
