The Obligitory Flashback
Tuesday, June 14, 1989
The door to the potions classroom creaked faintly as it was pushed open, catching Professor Snape’s attention. He watched in silence as a pale, willowy girl with long legs and longer copper hair crept carefully into the room and sat on a desk in the front row. Snape glared at her for a moment before he returned to his grading, and it was several minutes before he spoke.
“The last class of the year, and you couldn’t contain yourself?” he asked her.
“I wanted to talk to you.” Her voice was quietly confidant.
“Miss McKie, despite any sort of personal relationship we may now have, you are still my student, and I expect you to treat me as such.”
“But you’re not my professor anymore.” He looked at her again, annoyed and almost angry. “That’s not the point though,” she continued hastily. “I just wanted to apologize. We didn’t want to hurt you, you have to know that.”
“I know.” Snape sighed and leaned back in his chair. “I was just surprised.”
“Understandably.” They sat in silence for a few more minutes.
“I love her, I really do.” She broke the silence with a near-whisper.
“I know. I love her too. We might not be close, but she’s still my sister.”
“We were hoping you might come visit us for a while this summer,” she offered. “I hope we can be friends… Severus.”
“I hope we can be friends too, Aurora.”

Sorry this chapter’s so short, but I think that this is the length it needed to be. I’ll re-write the chapter if enough people don’t understand what’s going on.
