Day Two
Day Two:
“Oh, Marcus,” said Adrian in a singsong voice. “Billy is looking for you.”
Adrian smirked as he heard muffled voices behind Marcus’s drawn bed curtains. Honestly, it was eight at night. Adrian wondered who the girl was.
A flushed Marcus poked his head out from his bed. “Where is the crazy bint, mate?” asked Marcus as he chewed his lip.
“Terry said you were practicing a Quidditch move on the Pitch,” said Adrian as he stretched out on the sofa. “Billy went to look.”
“Merlin,” said Marcus. “In tweatweather? It so windy, I would knock myself out by just flying too high. Is Billy completely mad? More importantly, did she fall for it?”
“Why would she ‘fall’ for it, Marcus,” said a cool voice from the other side of Marcus’s bed.
“Persephone,” said Marcus shiftily. “Why don’t you slip back inside the curtains and I’ll explain, love.”
The Ravenclaw girl ignored Marcus as she buttoned up her blouse and shook out her long hair.
“Persephone,” coaxed Marcus in a low, throaty tone. He tried to grab the girl’s hand but she slipped away with a toss of her head.
“Do I look daft?” asked Persephone with an angry look in her dark eyes. “Flint, I thought you said you broke up with her.” />

“I did,” said Marcus as innocently as he could manage.
“Does she know?” asked Persephone sardonically as she bent over to look for her bookbag.
Marcus scowled at Adrian, whose eyes were fixed on the Ravenclaw’s pert bottom. He pulled Persephone up against him and gave her a heavy-eyed look of passion.
“Can I walk you back to the tower,” asked Marcus as he rubbed his body against her soft curves. He smiled as he saw her face go rosy and he was so close, he could feel her heartbeat accelerate.
Suddenly, a cold look flashed across her face and Persephone pulled away.
“No,” said Persephone as she turned to walk away. “Perhaps later when you aren’t that absolute cow’s boyfriend.”
“Can I?” drawled Adrian. He ignored the look of fury that passed Marcus’s face.
Persephone gave Marcus a cool smile and nodded her acceptance at Adrian. Adrian got to his feet and gave the Ravenclaw girl a genuine smile. She was going to lead Marcus in a very merry chase.
“I’ll get you for this,” threatened Marcus as Adrian passed him. Adrian snickered to himself as he opened the door for Persephone. Marcus, that possessive soul, was unaware that he, contrary to his real nature, was really just going to walk her back to Ravenclaw.
“Why are you doing this, Pucey?” asked Persephone as they walked passed the common room.
“I’ve discovered my latent altruistic side,” drawled Adrian. “That, and to give you both an alibi. Slytherin House is riddled with Billy’s female minions.”
“So,” said Persephone heatedly. “Flint is still dating that slag.”
“She refuses to be broken up with,” clarified Adrian. “Marcus likes you. Are you going to let that bint get her own way?”
“Oh,” said Persephone in a small voice. “I’ve been precipitous.”
“What?” asked Adrian. “Use small words, love. I’m just a Quidditch player.”
“I was trying to get Marcus angry,” said Persephone as she gave Adrian a sad look. “Will you tell him, I am sorry?”
“Sure,” said Adrian. “After, I wake up from the punch Marcus is going to level at me when I get back. He thinks that I am trying to steal you.”
“I am not a thing to be stolen,” said Perone one simply. “Tell Marcus, if he wants, he could owl me. I’ll meet him anywhere he would like.”
“Can’t I have a good night kiss?” asked Adrian with a pout.
“You are as naughty as rumor has it, aren’t you,” said Persephone with a twinkle in her eyes. “I am sorry but no. Maybe another time, perhaps?”
“Promises,” sighed Adrian.
