Suspicions
\"They were probably just studying for the exams. You know how Hermione is at this time of year. She\'s in the library 24/7,\" Harry tried to reassure Ron.
\"But Ginny isn\'t. Bloddy Hell, she doesn\'t have the attention span to study all night.\"
Ron had been suspecting something was up when Hermione and Ginny had started spending an unusual amount of time together a few months ago. He had a feeling they were up to something - he just didn\'t know what. Why were they so secretive all the time?
\"They\'re up to something. I don\'t know what, but I\'m determined to find out.\"
\"Ron, don\'t let yourself get all bent out of shape about it. It\'s probably one of those \'girl things\' we\'ll never understand. Don\'t drive yourself mad trying to.\"
It was true, Harry had noticed that Hermione and Ginny were acting a little odd lately. Nobody ever knew where exactly they went or what they did when they disappeared for hours at a time. But like he had told Ron a million times, it was probably nothing. True, Ginny did have a tendency to find mischief, but Hermione didn\'t. And besides, girls did have a tendency to act rather strange at times. Why go mad trying to figure it out?
Ron stared off with the same look of determination he had had at his first Quidditch practices.
\"Maybe you\'re right, Harry. But I\'m going to find out for sure. I have to know. I don\'t want something coming up and biting me in the ass.\"
Harry just rolled his eyes. What else could he do? When Ron was set on something, there was no changing his mind.
