Hogwart's Express

“I can’t believe mum let you leave looking like that.” Ron exclaimed, groaning.

“And just what is wrong with my outfit, Ronald Weasley?” Ginny retorted.

“The skirt’s too short, the shirt’s too tight and what in Merlin’s name have you done to your hair?” he asked.

Ginny pulled at her locks to glance at the ringlets.

“Actually, I think she looks rather good, Ron.” Harry suddenly piped in.

His best friend sent him a glare while Ginny gave him a bright smile.

"Thank you, Harry. It’s nice to know one of you appreciates me.” She commented, kissing his cheek softly.

Harry Potter, the boy she had chased for nearly three years, and never attained. They had talked it over before, even kissed and partially dated, but it never led anywhere, so she left it.

Laughing, the Boy-Who-Lived merely sat on one of the cloth-covered benches, sighing as the train roared to life.

Ginny, still being picked after, sat next to him, her mind alre4ady shutting out the voice of her brother.

“And another thing! Where did you get the money for those clothes? Merlin knows mum didn’t give it to you—”

Ron’s words were then cut off as the compartment door slid open…and Ginny saw Him.

Draco Malfoy took his place at the door, peering in with a smirk.

“Weasley, Potter…Weaslette.” He murmured, his eyes stopping on Ginny for longer than usual. She, in turn, remained gaping at him. Black jeans and a dark green button-up with a silver chain was ensemble and God, did he look good.

“My, my, don’t we look like the proud lion today?” he murmured, taking note of Ginny blood red skirt and canary yellow tank top. “Look like the kitten finally grew up.”

“You stay the hell away from my sister, Malfoy!” Ron exclaimed.

“I think your warnings should be reserved for her. After all, it is your sister who is staring at me like a piece of meat.” He drawled.

Ron looked over at Ginny, of whom was still gaping.

“Ginny!” he yelled, sounding horrified. She blinked, a blush rising in her cheeks as her brows knit together.

“Bugger off, Malfoy!” she growled.

“And there are the claws.” Draco taunted.

“You’ll know when you see my claws.” She hissed.

Draco raised an eyebrows. “Can I count on that?”

“Aren’t you supposed to be checking the first years?” suddenly prodded another voice.

The blonde just sighed.

“Granger, leave it up to you to be my conscience. Don’t you ever have anything better to do than be a nag and a know-it-all?” he growled.

Hermione’s eyes burned.

“You are what contaminates society.”

“And you are what society likes to call a Mudblood bitch.”

Gasps were heard all around.

“If you don’t leave right now—” Ron warned.

“Why don’t you make me?” Draco hissed back.

“Shut up, both of you!” Ginny suddenly exploded. “Ron, sit down and shut your mouth before you go and get in trouble again. And don’t you dare insult what I wear because it’s my body so it’s my choice to wear my clothes.” She growled.

Draco merely laughed at the sight of the little sister reeming out her older brother.

“And you! You listen up, Malfoy, you, you may think you’re all high and mighty at home, but the second you board this train, you mean exactly shit to three-quarters of the student population. Now, why don’t you go back to Pansy and her hole like a good little snake? I’m sure she’s missing her Drakie-poo. And don’t worry, we won’t miss you.”

Instantly, Draco’s eyes narrowed and his jaw twitched.

“Those are big words for somebody of your stature, Red. Are you sure you want to tempt the Dragon?” he growled.

“I can take anything you throw at me.”

He smirked. “I’ll take your word on that.”

Suddenly, in the background, a voice was heard.

“Draco? Where are you, love? I thought your meeting ended already!”

“Oh, look, your whore is calling you. Better go answer her.” Ginny hissed.

Draco gave her a death glare before he left, his eyes glinting metallic silver.

As soon as the compartment door closed, Ginny fell back on the seat to three pairs of shocked eyes. Yet all of them were woing ing the same thing.

Just where in the world had that come from?
