Title: Seraphim

Author: Fal/p> /p>

Summary: style='mso-spacerun:yes'> Harry wakes up and gets the biggest shock
of his lifetime. Well, maybe not the
biggest but DAMN, he gets freaked out.

A/N: First HP story ever. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> Tried to do something original. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> If it comes back to bite me in the ass, at
least I’ll have an excuse right?

Chapter Two

Snape’s
eyes flew to my face as soon as Lucius mentioned the name. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> Those lovely black orbs grew in size until
I was sure they would pop out. From
his look, he didn’t know who I was either.
There was look of utter tenderness on those lips that I had kissed not
two hours before from my recollection.
His mouth opened and closed as he worked his jaw. style='mso-spacerun:yes'>

“What
happened to her?” Sev sounded
horrified. Apparently not only was I
stuck in Malfoy’s imaginary daughter’s body, I seemed to be pretty badly
wounded. Not that I could feel a
thing. My body, well Seraphim’s body I
suppose, felt like lead under the blanket.
I couldn’t even feel the material of the bed sheets. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> All I could do was move my face.

Malfoy
answered, calm as always, “A curse meant to turn her into a toad gone very
wrong. You should have heard about
it. It happened at the train station. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> Some Hufflepuff upstart disgraced our
Lord’s name with her foul tongue and my daughter, the faithful servant she
is, defended her master. The
Hufflepuff tried to curse her, only to be pushed forward, mid-curse, and
break her wand. Seraphim was still
struck. She’s been asleep for seven
days.”

style='mso-bidi-font-style:normal'>Seven days . . . for some reason, a
week had meaning in my mind. There was
something that I was missing at that moment, in my real body. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> I tried to dig through the fog and figure
it out, but something kept me from recalling.
It was a magical barrier. I
wondered blindly if I’d been Obliviated.

“Why
haven’t you taken her to St. Mungo’s?
Why is she here? Why am I
here?” Well said Sev. Snape
looked utterly perplexed.

Lucius
smiled an evil smile. “Take her to
that nut house? Honestly Mr. Snape, why
would I do that when I know I can count on your services whenever I need
them? He laughed, a cold sound that
rolled over my incapacitated form and made me shiver. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> This was bollocks. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> “Now Severus, you know that by taking the
mark on your arm that any death eater in trouble deserves your
attention.” My eyes flew to Sev’s
arm. Sure enough, the mark that had
faded with the death, the true death, of the Dark Lord was back. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> Lucius continued. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> “I believe you know the cure for such a
curse, do you not?”

&:p>

Severus class=GramE>nodded, his eyes on my face. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> I was slightly comforted by the warmth I
found there. I could only imagine that
perhaps he DID know that I was inside this body, and was waiting for a moment
to set me free. There was something
different though, in his eyes. They
were colder and more distant. I almost
didn’t recognize. It was then that I
realized that I was stuck in this place and this time and apparently I was
the only one who realized who exactly I was.
Well, shit.

“Where
was she hit?”

I watched
as Malfoy’s hands peeled back my covers to reveal the naked body
beneath. I heard Severus gasp and I
wished I could see what was wrong with me.
I remembered the mirrors on the bed above me and looked up.

It was
pretty bad. There was an actual hole a
few inches below the left breast, most likely where the mis-curse
had struck first. The skin had been
belted down to a layer of muscle. I
could see the muscle twitch as I looked on.
It was ghastly. The wound was
almost ghostly white with what appeared to be a bandaging spell. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> While it hadn’t healed me, it had certainly
kept quite a bit of blood and gory bits inside my chest. style='mso-spacerun:yes'>

Radiating
out from the hole, the skin ranged from a putrid shade of black out to the
fading green where the curse’s power had failed to complete. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> The discoloration stretched from my collar
bone to my stomach. It was a pretty
nasty curse. I had dealt with a few in
my time as an Auror but none as immature yet disastrous as this one.

Sev
approached the bed and sat down next to my body. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> His warm fingertips grazed the skin on my
chest and I could feel his magic. It
was a warm, comforting blanket around my less than stable mental thoughts. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> This was my Sev, whether he realized who I
was or not. The warmth spread over the
entire wound. I risked a glance at the
wound, noticing the hole had closed, now replaced by new, pink skin. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> The rest of the area was still discolored,
but the wound was now gone. I sighed
in relief, the weight lifting from my body.

“Oh, thank god.” I had a
voice! I sounded like a girl, but it
was a start. Severus apparently didn’t now now what to do with me however, and let my hug linger as long as Lucius’s
comfort would allow. I laid back down.

Snape
stood quickly. He pulled a piece of
parchment from his robes and asked for a quill, which was quickly
supplied. He scratched down a few
ingredients, glancing my way every few moments. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> “Here.
This potion should take away the discoloration within minutes. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> I would make it myself, but I’m sure you’ll
do it well enough. It is your daughter
after all.” Handing the list to
Lucius, he glanced sharply at me and walked out the door. style='mso-spacerun:yes'>

I sighed,
leaning back in the bed. Well, at
least I wasn’t on the brink of death, like always. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> Now, about getting out of this body and
time. Dumbledore would be able to
help. I wished I knew what time of year
it was. If this body was now out of
Hogwarts, I’d be royally buggered.
Thankfully, Lucius solved that problem for me.

“As soon
as the potion is made, you’ll be able to return to school. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> I know that you’re friends will be pleased to see you.” style='mso-spacerun:yes'> He obviously didn’t like something about
the crowd I ran with. I shrugged
mentally. Not my problem. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> Not really anyway. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> “Draco.”
He called over his left shoulder.
“Look after your sister until she’s asleep.” style='mso-spacerun:yes'> With a small smile Lucius Malfoy left.

~!~!~!~!~!~!~

I don’t know if this story is too far fetched for
everyone. Perhaps it is. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> If so, my apologies. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> I can only promise that I’ll try to make it
a bit more interesting. Being my first
HP attempt, I’m just glad more than a few people have read it.

Reviews are always welcome.
