Trapped

***Thanks for the reviews. Here\'s another chapter, would write more, but it\'s 7:30 in the morning, and I just got home from work *yawn*

Chocolate Frogs seemed a decent apology. Harry gathered up about four packs and made his way to the sick wing before breakfast. He would give these to Draco, and say thank you and sorry one last time, then everything would be okay again.

Before he had a chance to go, MacGonagal and Dumbledore stopped him.e nee need to see you Harry.” Dumbledore ushered him into MacGonagal’s office. tingting in another chair was Draco. He looked just as confused as Harry was. “After yesterdays…incident,” MacGonagal started, “Headmaster Dumbledore and I have both decided that perhaps it is time to do something about this constant fighting between you two.”

“Yes, we have developed a plan. From here, until the end of the school year, you and Draco will be…roommates.”

“What?” Harry leaned forward, unsure if he heard Dumbledore right. “You want Malfoy and I to live together?”

“My father-”

“Your father is in Azkaban Mr. Malfoy.” Professor MacGonagal interrupted before Draco could continue. “Professor Snape and I have already decided that you two will be placed in special rooms. Your classes will be taken together, which means some schedule changing. And until you two learn to get along in a little bit more civilized manner, it will stay this way. Including into your seventh year.”

They were speechless. Draco jumped up, “you have to be kidding me!” He yelled. “I can’t spend the rest of the year with him!”

“You were quick to defend him when we were going to expel him.” Dumbledore reminded. If Harry didn’t know any better, it looked like Dumbledore was smiling.

“That’s because it was my fault. You can’t…I mean…we hate each other.”

“Sorry to make your life so unbearable.” Harry muttered, crossing his arms. He already knew when the pair of them made up their mind there was no going against it.

“But…but…” sighing in defeat, Draco slumped back into his chair.

“I think you both have Defense Against the Dark Arts right now, so go on. I’ll give you your room assignments and new course schedule after.” MacGonagal said, ending the conversation.

Draco was grumbling quietly, picking up his things. He followed Harry out. When they were outside the room Harry shoved the chocolate frogs in Draco’s hands. “Here. These were my peace offerings.”

“They’re insane, you know that?” Draco said, looking down at the frogs. “I’m not supposed ave ave chocolate.”

“Why?”

“My father said-”

“Your father isn’t here.” Harry reminded him. “Go on, eat it.”

Looking down at the chocolate with longing, Draco ripped open a package and caught the frog before it was able to hop away. He bit into it and closed his eyes. It had been years since he had been able to have chocolate. “Why weren’t you allowed to eat chocolate?”

“My father said it would make me fat. I’m on a rather restricted diet.”

Harry looked over Draco’s body, “Malfoy, you’re nothing but skin and bones. You need to go off whatever diet he has you on and eat like the rest of us. That’s probably why I was able to kick your arse so easily.” Harry paused, his eyes drawing over Draco once more, slower this time. As if studying him. A blush crept up Draco’s neck and he forced himself to look back at the chocolate frogs in his hands.

“I wonder where we’ll be staying.” Draco tried to steer the conversation away from him to the topic at hand. Having to spend the rest of the year with Potter as his roommate.

“Harry! There you are! Ron saw you go into MacGonagal’s office and we were sure they decided to expel you anyway!” Hermione ran up to Harry, throwing one arm around him in a sisterly hug. She stepped back, noticing Draco. “What’s he doing here?”

“Well…as a punishment, Dumbledore and MacGonagal decided that we are to be roommates the rest of the year.”

Draco took his cue to leave. He wasn’t about to stand there and listen to the little know it all. “I’m going to go enjoy my last class of freedom before I’m tied to you Potter.”

Harry watched Draco disappear into the room. He sighed, turning back to Hermione. “I don’t know what I’m going to dI thI think they’re insane.”

“Well, maybe it’s for the best. Dumbledore has never been wrong before. They usually know what they’re doing. Besides, it‘s only a couple of months until summer.”

“Still, I just can’t believe this. And if they don’t think we’re getting along by the end of the year, we’ll have to be roommates next year too!”

“You act like you’re going to be around him all the time. You won’t be, just stay out of his way.”

“True. I guess I can spend most of my time with you guys, and dodging him.”

“See, don’t worry, you’ll get through it.”

“I hope you’re right Hermione. I really do.”

******

The room was larger than Harry had imagined it would be. There were two separate desks. A rather nice distance from the beds. Only one bathroom, but with two sinks and two showers. It wouldn’t be so bad. They would be able to stay out of each other’s way for the most part. And Harry was lucky that most of his classes didn’t even change that much. The biggest change was Divination, which was now before lunch instead of in the afternoons.

There wasn’t much speaking going on between the two before bed. Harry got ready in the bathroom, quietly brushing his teeth. He noticed Draco stripping down to only boxers. Harry made sure he had plenty of clothing on. Everyone knew that Draco was a slut, and he’d sleep with anything that was in the least tempting. Harry didn’t plan on being tempting.

Though, he couldn’t help notice how lean and smooth Draco’s body was. A nice flat chest tapering down into slim hips and a perfectly curved arse. Harry put up his tooth brush and walked past Draco, trying desperately not to notice him anymore. ‘Just pretend he’s not there,’ a voice commanded.

Laying down, Harry pulled the covers above his shoulders, and turned away from a still stretching Draco. He was doing it to tease Harry. Everyone knew Harry was gay, but he was still denying it. Draco smirked, seeing how utterly tense the Gryffindor was.

Finally Draco laid down, blowing out the last bit of light. It wa lon long before he was asleep. It had been a very long day.

A low moan woke Draco. A whimper. Soft sobbing.

Draco sat up and looked over at Harry’s bed. The noises were definitely coming from the Gryffindor. Draco got up, planning on shaking the him awake. Hopefully it wouldn’t be like this all year. He threw back the curtains. Harry was curled up in a ball, his eyes closed. He was crying. Tears streaming down his face. Gently, Draco sat on the bed, touching Harry’s shoulder. “Wake up. It’s just a dream.”

Suddenly Harry’s arms were around Draco, his head on his chest. He was still asleep, but Draco didn’t have the heart to wake him. A soft smile found the Slytherin’s lips. It wasn’t very often people trusted Draco enough to act weak around him, let alone cry into his arms. It was a nice feeling, protecting Harry. Even if Harry was asleep.

Soothing back the Gryffindor’s unruly hair, Draco murmured soft s ofs of comfort. Harry’s eyes fluttered open. Disoriented, he looked up into bright silver eyes. “Oh no.”

“What’s the matter Potter, do I smell bad?”

Frantically, Harry pushed away. He sat back on his bed. “What are you doing?”

“Don’t worry, I wasn’t trying to take advantage of you. I heard you crying, and I came to see what was the matter. You just kind of ended up in my arms.”

“I forgot to put the silencing charm on my bed…damnit.” Harry grabbed his glasses.

“What were you dreaming about?” Draco asked. Though Harry was glaring at him, he decided to make himself comfortable. Propping a pillow up behind him, he leaned back.

“My parents. Voldemort. Sirus.” Sighing deeply, Harry ran a shaking hand through his hair. “I’m sorry I woke you up and all, but it’s over now. I’ll make sure I put the silencing charm on this time.”

“You have these nightmares every night?”

Looking down, Harry grew quiet. “Yeah. Every night.”

Harry didn’t see Draco move. Didn’t notice until the Slytherin’s arms were wrapped tight around him. A surprise gasp escaped before Draco’s lips covered his own, enticing a small groan from the Gryffindor. The kiss was persistent, coaxing. Hungry. Needing. Any warning bells to push Draco away were drowned out by Harry\'s own need to be held.

When Draco pulled away finally, it was only because neither of them could breathe. He seemed surprised, but the famous Malfoy smirk was still in place. He touched Harry’s lips with his finger, then silently got out of the bed and went to his own. The Gryffindor knew not to speak, it would ruin the odd calm that settled between them. Instead he laid down, and found sleep wasn’t very hard anymoe.

He never heard Draco get up and take a shower.
