The Lonely Gryffindor

The knife looked very friendly turning in her hands, it\'s only been one month since she

learned of her parents fate. \"One stupid month.\" she thought. Light beamed though the window

sill and the birds sang outside, but inside the house there seemed to be a dark cloud of

depression and anger. Hermione touched her face tenderly, it seered with pain in only five minutes

she had broken three of the most precious rules in the house, Talked back to her aunt, yelled at

her uncle and then she broke her Aunt\'s favorite glass sculpture with her temper, \"You are NOT

allowed to use that freakish sh!t under MY house, do you understand me you stupid little girl?\" Her

aunt\'s harsh words echoed in her ears as she slowly lowered the knife to her wrist.


Right across town Remus Lupin and Sirius Black were sitting in the living room eating

dinner, \"Padfoot I\'m getting worried.\" said Remus sullinly. \"Bout what?\" asked his friend with food

in his mouth, Remus felt his lips curve slightly, \"About Hermione. It\'s been six weeks since i wrote

to her and she hasn\'t returned it.\" Sirius dropped his spoon into the soup. \"Yah I know what you

mean Harry and Ron are driving up the walls just waiting for her to reply, even Ginny is worried.\"

Sirius put his face between his hands and sighed, \"What should we do Moony?\" Remus stood

up, \"Lets go on a trip.\" he said as he grabbed his coat, \"Moony! What in the world could posess

you to want to go on a trip at a time like this?\" Sirius stared at his friend with disbelief, Maybe he

finally went senile? He hoped not. \"We\'re going to check on her and make sure she\'s safe and

sound.\" with that he shut the door behind him. Sirius shook his head but followed him anyway.

Remus and Sirius apparated to the little house on the edge of a cliff, below them the sea

churned with anger but the over all appearence of the place seemed peaceful and happy. Remus

breathed in a breath of fresh air, \"You know this is a pretty cool place.\" They strode up to the


house and the the doorbell, A women about her mid-thirtys came to the door, \"Yes can I help


you.\" Remus cleared his throat, \"Yes ma\'am we\'re looking for a Ms. Granger.\" Her pleasent smile

disappeared into an angry scowl, Remus heared crying upstairs he then heared a very unpleasent

sound like the sound of a blade. His eyes widened with fright as he ran past the women and went

upstairs, \"Hermione!\" he screamed as he flung open the door to see the student he once knew

taking a knife to her wrist, \"Hermione don\'t you even think about doing such a thing!\" he said as

he ran beside her, she dropped the knife and gave him a hug, \"Professor Lupin! Thank God.\" she

said breathlessly, Remus held on tight to her, and she began to cry.

He was really here! she thought to herself when her favorite professor barged into the room

and wrapped his arms around her. She felt so happy when she saw him. It was like seeing her

parents again, Sirius Black came into the room next along with her cousin, \"Hermione?\" Hermione

looked at her, \"Yes Anna?\" Anna was about eleven her long blond hair and light blue eyes made

her look pale and fragile. but she had a verrongrong heart and was the only one in that house who

was kind to her, \"Are you alright?\" Hermione nodded. Remus turned around, \"I think that she\'ll be

just fine.\" Anna\'s eyes widened. \"Are you Remus?\" The man nodded, \"COOL! Hermione was right

you are pretty cute!\" Hermione\'s cheeks went red as her cousin said that. Remus only

smiled, \"Well thank you and you look very pretty yourself.\" The next thing she knew her aunt

came barging into the room face as red as a summer ripe tomato. \"I want you two out of her this

minute or i\'m calling the cops!\" she threated them, Remus began to open his mouth, \"NO!\" Anna

squeaked, her mother turned to her, \"What?\" \"I NO! NO!\" she ran to Remus, \"You shall never

harm them.\" she said. Remus was the first to notice, her mother was beginning to blow up like a

balloon! \"Uh oh.\" he said scooping up Hermione and beginning to run, Sirius grabbed Anna and

lifted her onto her shoulder, \"So you a witch too huh.\" Anna looked at him, \"I\'m not that mean.\"

Remus laughed, \"No my dear it means that you can do magic.\" Anna\'s eyes widened, she had

heared stories about Hogwarts and tizarizarding world, Hermione had even done a few spells for

her. Now she, Anna Porter, was going to go there! Sirius hugged her close, \"Welcome to the Lupin-

Black family Anna.\" With that they started a new life together, Remus Lupin, Sirius Black,

Hermione Granger, and Anna Porter. They were a Family.
