”Hey,” Harry whispered as he sat up in bed, nudging Draco’s sleeping form beside him. “You awake?”
Draco stirred, then sighed loudly, rolling over onto his back. “No. What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” Harry whispered, smiling down at Draco.
Draco reached across Harry’s lap and adjusted the clock to face him. He grim whe when he saw the time.
“Harry,” Draco said, sighing again. “No bloody way. Go back to sleep.”
Draco lay back down, turning his back to Harry. Harry chuckled softly and ran his hand through Draco’s soft hair, tucking strands behind his ear.
“I said no, you dirty, perverse git,” Draco said, not budging. “I need my beauty sleep.”
“How do you even know what I want?” Harry whispered as he continued stroking Draco’s fine, blond hair.
“Why are you whispering?” Draco asked, annoyed. “We live alone, you know.”
Harry lay down beside Draco, stretching his body along Draco’s back. He wrapped an arm around Dracoaistaist and continued to play with his hair.
“It’s past midnight, that’s all,” Harry whispered into the back of Draco’s neck.
“If I wanted to be rudely awakened and told the time I’d buy one of those dreadful charmed clocks, Harry,” Draco said. “Go back to sleep.”
“It’s past midnight…and I love you,” Harry said, smiling against Draco’s neck.
Draco shivered and sighed, rolling over to face Harry. “I love you, too. It’s Valentine’s Day now. I get it. Are you giving me my present?”
“Not yet,” Harry whispered.
Draco wrapped his arm around Harry’s neck, pulled him close and nuzzled him, closing his eyes.
“Then hush,” Draco answered.
Harry laughed and laid a soft kiss on Draco’s mouth.
“Good night,” Harry said.
