A Fool\'s Prophecy

Severus Snape sat alone in his chambers thinking about how drastically his life had changed in the past week. Not only was he wanted by
Voldemort and his deatheaters, but he was about to take part in an elaborate scheme to keep his worthless self alive. Quite frankly
he did not place as much value on himself, and thought quite reasonably that Hermione would tell the headmaster to sod off.
Sure it was true that he and Hermione had formed a friendship and partnership working on potions, but he truly believed there was no way she
would agree to give so much up for him. Truth be told Severus admired Hermione\'s intelligence and apptitude for potions. Maybe this would not
be so bad after all. presuming she would be in agreement, surely after learning of the need to actually connsumate the relationship she will refuse.
And with those final thoughts Severus was stirred from his pessimistic thinking to the sound of Albus entering his rooms.

\"Severus my boy, How are holding up.\"
\"Albus please, now is not the time for idiocy.\" Severus repsonded bitterly, bracing himself for Hermione\'s rejection.
\"Hermione has agreed to help us out. She was more concerned with your aversion to the plan.\"
\"Thank you Albus, would you allow Hermione and I to use your office after dinner so that we may discuss this further?\" Severus asked quietly.
\"Yes, that would be fine.\" Albus agreed, pleased that Severus was acting accordingly.
\" I will let her know that you would like to see her, I was heaidng that way anyways.\" Albus said as Severus escorted him to the door.
\"Thank you Albus\" Severus said in a whisper that was not lost on the older man.

Sitting down again, alone to think this through Severus decided that since Hermione was making such a sacrifice then he would do his best
at being her husband, even if it was only a hoax of a marriage. With that decided Severus headed out to Hogsmeade, he needed to find her an engagement
ring and he was dammed if it was not going to be a great one. Quietly preparing himself he placed a glamour on himself so that he would not be recognized
by any less savory people that might be looking for him.

\"Miss Granger\" albus called as he walked through her open chamber doors.
\"Professor Dumbledore, sir how is everything coming along?\"
\"I just came from Severus\' chambers and he has asked that the two of you meet in my office tonight following dinner.\"
\"Yes that will be fine, better to get the uncomfortable stuff out in the open early right?\"
\"Yes definately, and Hermione could you please call me Albus we are beyond titles at this point.
\"Sure thing Albus.\" Hermione said with a small smile.
\"Get some rest before dinner, I feel tonight will be a difficult one.\" Albus added while leaving Hermione to her thoughts.



Next time: Severus and Hermione meet to discuss the plan sex and the wedding.....and also severus proposes.
