It begins

- I’m late, I cannot be late, he’s kill me – it’s over – I’m toast….-

Running down the hallway, robes swishing and out of breath, Amanda turned another corner and jumped down a flight of stairs. Landing on the last step of the stairs she tripped and landed on the floor with a thud.

“Ouch… oh bugger – what a piece of-“

“Watch your mouth young Lady!”

Gasping she looked up into a pair of smiling amber eyes. Taking a deep breath she smiled weakly before picking herself up from the fl

“Sorry professor Lupin!”

“It’s ok, just relax a bit and no running in the hallways – you know better than that”

Nodding she looked down at her shoes, noticing that her robe was a mess – all covered in dust. She couldn’t look like this, he would be furious. Without noticing she started to frown and dusting the robe of as neatly as possible. Lupin raised an eyebrow before placing a hand on the small girl’s shoulder.

“Amanda – are you ok?”

He’d known the girl for the longest time, Oliver and her had been living close to his parents and he had actually babysat on several occations. He was more than amazed to see Amanda sitting in his class, her brown hair long as always but not tied in a ponytail with pink ribbons like before but loosely fasten with a hairpin, strays falling in her face and careless tugged behind her ear as she laughed and smiled at her classmate. She had grown up…

“Dust on your robe is not the end of the world.”

Looking up at him, she smiled. No, not the end of the world, maybe her’s though.

“You’re right professor – I…. I just need to get going… I was late already….”

“Late? For what?”

He smiled, couldn’t acty sty stop. There was something about her that made him smile, not to forget the warm feeling deep inside.

“I…er… I have…. An appointment…”

Blushing she looked down, she couldn’t lie to him but she had to. He was the caring brother Oliver wasn’t. Nothing bad ever happened when Remus was around, he always took care of her… but not this time. She chuckled nervously as her face flushed nervously.

“Sorry… I really have to go…”

~~~ the night before ~~~
Sitting on her bed in her dormitory she starred at the parchment lying in front of her on the black bedspread, scratching her head now and then she nervously bit her lip. It would be silly to say that she feared the paper because it couldn’t do her anything but rather the words written on it. He would know if she didn’t read it, she didn’t doubt that but still… she would do almost anything to get out of reading it. Sighing she reached for the parchment before undoing the seal and removing the deep forest green wax and ribbon that sealed it. The list was written in the Potion Master’s charming writing.
---
I must be addressed ‘Master’ or ‘Sir’ – nothing else.
You will never look me in the eye unless you’re told to
I have the right to demand anything and everything from you and punishment will be given when I feel like it.
You will always ask for permin, nn, no matter what.
If you feel silly by asking, the answer is automatically ‘no’
You will dress like I tell you to
And remember:
No one else must know of this arrangement
From now on – I own your heart, soul, mind and body therefore I can do as I please with them.
Master S. Snape
---
Starring at the paper a few minutes more, Amanda blinked ad rubbed her eyes. He had lost it, that was now clear to her. This would have to be a joke but … she bit her lip again. The Potion Master making a joke? Naww…. She shok her head. She better be at his office early the next morning.
Placing the parchment in her drawer she absently took her robe off and neatly placing it over the back of a chair. Then followed her school uniform, her shoes were placed under the chair and her worn clothes in the washing bin for the house elves to find and clean it. Pulling her nightgown over her head she stopped by the mirror. She looked like a ghost, she was really pale and her eyes seemed darker than normally. As she picked up her hair brush she frowned lightly, this was all a bit too strange. Sure all the students feared Snape –Master-
“Stop it!”
She mentally slapped herself before putting the brush down.
-Come on Mandy, this is just plain old stupid… are you giving up so easily? He’s nothing but an old pathetic man who is getting a kick out of scaring students-
Going to the bathroom she quickly cleaned up and brushed her teeth, running wet fingers through her hair she chuckled lightly as she saw her reflection. Her hair was standing straight out of her head and as pale as she was she lookede she she’d seen a ghost. Trying to shut the professor out of her mind she crawled to bed and buried herself under the covers. Her bed, here she was safe.
