Chapter 1: Dreams and Revelations
CHAPTER 1: Dreams and Revelations
Voldemort smiled as the raid had worked. Just a couple of months ago, most of the Death Eaters who were involved in the raid at the Ministry of Magic to get the prophecy were caught and imprisoned at Azkaban. But since the Dementors had revolted, engineering a prison escape was only too easy. Lucius Malfoy was back at his righthand side, but suffering from the effects of the Cruciatus Curse. Even though Voldemort was behind the escape, he was still furious at Malfoy, who was the leader of the raid, for failing to get the prophecy. \"I\'ll give you one last chance to prove yourself, Malfoy and I expect...results,\" the dark lord hissed.
\"What can I do to prove my worth?\" Malfoy asked.
\"Find my daughter, Lucius,\" he hissed. Malfoy was visibly stunned. He did not know that Voldemort had a daughter. Voldemort went on to explain that he had captured the daughter of a powerful ministry official and had his way with her. This was about 4-5 years before he had met his \'downfall\' at the Potters. He figured she would be about twenty or so by now.
After dishing out further threats if Malfoy failed, he dismissed him. Lucius Disapparated and then put on a Glamour Charm to hide his appearance. The mother of Voldemort\'s daughter was the daughter of the now dead Peter Worthington. So, accordingly, he used the Glamour Charm to look like a relative so he could get information. He headed to the Ministry of Magic and the birth records department, where all magical births were located. The mother\'s name would be Joyce Worthington, and the daughter, Voldemort surmised, was named Anne. But apart from that, there was no further information.
As he researched, one of the employees provided him with a photo of Joyce Worthington, aged to reveal what she could possibly look like now. He then was informed that she had moved to Sunnydale, California. At this, Malfoy paled considerably. He had heard of Sunnydale, which was located on the Hellmouth and as a result, attracted all sorts of demons and magical activity. But he figured that Joyce must\'ve known this and would be able to blend in. It would be difficult, but he would find Voldemort\'s daughter. He debated whether or not to tell the master of the location, but he had to make sure it was reliable or else Voldemort would subject him to not just the Cruciatus Curse. So, he Disapparated to Sunnydale.
SUNNYDALE
The Scooby Gang was worried about Buffy. Apparently, the spell that brought her back to life wasn\'t totally without consequences as she was still having nightmares and a strange demon had attacked them the night she returned home. She laid in her bed, trying to get sleep, but she kept getting strange dreams. The first dream consisted of a shadowy figure approaching what appeared to be some sort of mansion. The figure would then take out what appeared to be a wand and magically opened the door. Then he killed the father and then the mother. Then he turned on the baby in the crib and tried to kill him but the spell backfired. Then, the dream changed into one that of passion. She dreamt that she was having sex with a blackhaired person, with a lightning bolt scar on his head. She moaned in passion as he continued to pump in and out of her. Then, she woke up.
Breathing heavily, she tried to figure out what the dreams meant. She looked at the clock on her bedside table and noticed it was only 2 in the morning, but the dream had left her thirsty. She walked down to the kitchen to get a drink of water and saw Willow sitting at the table, also with a drink of water. \"Hey Bufcan\can\'t sleep?\"
\"Nah,\" Buffy replied. \"I keep having strange dreams.\" Willow indicated she was also having strange dreams. They told each other of the strange dreams and gasped when they realized that their first dreams were almost exactly the same. \"But how can this be? What does it all mean?\"
\"Perhaps Giles might know, but we\'ll have to wait until later to ask him.\"
They stayed up chatting for another half-hour before they each headed back to bed. But once again, the strange dreams plagued both of them and they couldn\'t get to sleep again.
Meanwhile, Lucius had arrived in Sunnydale and was informed that Willy\'s was the place to go for information. So, he made his way to the bar and wrinkled his nose in disgust when he saw all of the demons that frequented there. He noticed the bartender was serving two vampires two glasses of blood. \"Are you Willy?\" Malfoy asked in a sneer.
\"Who wants to know?\" Willy answered but suddenly yelped in fright when he saw Malfoy\'s snake cane for he recognized that it was Voldemort\'s symbol. Even the other demons were frightened because of Voldemort\'s exploits. \"Yes, I am Willy. What can I do for you?\"
Malfoy showed him a picture of Joyce Worthington. \"I\'m looking for her anr dar daughter in particular. Have you seen her?\" Malfoy asked. Willy took the picture and tried to think. The person in the picture looked familiar, but he could not place her. Yet...where...suddenly he snapped his fingers. \"You\'ve seen her?\"
\"I haven\'t seen the person in the photo persay, but I\'ve seen her daughter,\" Willy answered.
\"You have? Where and what\'s her name?\"
\"Buffy Summers. I don\'t know her address but she\'s definitely the daughter of the person in your photo. But if you\'re looking for her, there is something you should know beforehand.\"
\"And what is that?\"
\"She\'s the Slayer.\" At these words, Lucius both paled and smiled. If she was truely the legendary Vampire Slayer, then she was truely powerful in addition to her power that she inherited from Lord Voldemort. But he knew that he would have to bring in the heavy guns to reunite Buffy with Voldemort. Then it hit him. He knew the perfect agent to do it, if he hadn\'t already been staked: Angelus.
