A Welcomed Invitation

A Welcomed Invitation

* * *

December darkness rises from the grave, seeming as limitless as the sky above us. In this darkness our faces are a pale white, like shining discs. Surrounding us are clusters of trees - we are in the cemetery saying goodbye to Lord Lachlan Malfoy - a distant relative of the Malfoy\'s, but still one of the greatest money holes for Lucius. I was once again jealous of him, jealous that he would be receiving a handsome amount of money from the Lord and that he had the most beautiful creature standing by his side.

Her timeless face, the creamy white complexion of an angel. She stood there tall, it stunned me how in the saddest of times she maintained a strong composure, she still lifted her head high - looking towards the endless heavens of the sky. My eyes lingered down, looking at the fine materials she wore and how they were rapped so beautifully around her slim body. She had an elegant sense of fashion, always exposing a little of her skin - letting the mind imagine what is beneath her clothing. To no avail she was exposing her full bosom - surprising how a woman as slim and gentle as her could have such ample breasts - and Lucius would remind me on occasions.

We paid our respects to the deceased and watched his coffin being burried into the snow. To my joy, Narcissa came towards me - she had a mischievous smile on her magnificent face and came by my side to whisper these words to me - \"Once again I am here paying my respects to a grumpy old man.\" I smiled at her comment.

\"At least they have supplied your husband with generous amounts of money.\" I whispered in reply - admiring her beauty.

\"You always speak wisdom Severus Snape,\" she chuckled. \"Oh, will you be available Christmas Eve? I have a few interesting guests who will be showing up - I\'d love you to come.\" I was thanking Merlin for her words - the thought of spending Christmas Eve with her and a few other intellectuals sounded like a dream. I didn\'t want to sound too joyous though.

\"I\'m afraid I will have to spend Christmas Eve at Hogwarts, Narcissa - I don\'t think I will be able to make it.\" On the outside my face was stern and rigid, but within I was intoxicated at the idea.

\"Oh come one! That old bag will let you off the hook.\" She retorted. Glad with her persistence I accepted the offer.

\"Very well - but I make no promises.\" I eyed her for a moment, waiting to see her reply.

\"Good boy,\" She giggled. \"Hope to see you then Severus.\" I watched as she edged away from me and back to stand next to Lucius who was trying desperately to look as though he were crying. I loathed him in the back of my mind. He was a decadent man who I knew enjoyed the company of other woman in his bed besides his beautiful goddess of a wife.

I couldn\'t understand sometimes the way he treated her. If she were mine she would be the only one I\'d love and have - no other woman would count but her alone. After the funeral I walked away - watching her when suddenly she turned to look at me - our eyes locked. I couldn\'t tell what she was thinking when she looked at me - the look was unreadable. A combination of wonder and perhaps even desire.

Our time together would come soon - I\'d make sure of it. I prayed the look on her face was partly desire - I held onto my dreams and hoped that our naked skin would touch one day in a passionate embrace. All I could do now was hope.

Author\'s note: Hmm maybe Narcissa likes him too! Until then you will just have to wait and see what happens.
