“Harder!” she screamed. She was holding her legs behind her knees as Draco pounded into her willing body. She was so close she was on the verge of tears from it. He grunted in response as he slammed into her harder, as she requested.

She released one of her legs and moved her hand down to where they were joined. She ran her fingers over her clit a few times and she was spent. She came, shivering and moaning his name as he finally gave over to his own body’s urgent requests for release.

She lowered her legs as he moved to rest on top of her, kissing her several times, as her hands moved over his back. She sighed as he moved to place kisses along her neck. She looked over at the clock beside his bed, seeing that in an hour she would have to get in the shower and go to work, something she was dreading. Usually she didn’t mind it, after she’d had more than two hours of sleep. She barely had an hour and a half before Draco had rolled beside her and rubbed his hard cock against her back.

She smiled, not that she was really complaining. It was well worth it every time, which was surprising considering some of her other lovers could barely keep up with her. He pulled away from her neck and looked up at her, “Let’s go away somewhere this weekend.”

She furrowed her brow, “What?”

“You, me, some…deserted island. No one to bother us and nothing to do but fuck for two days.”

“Couldn’t we do that here?”

“We could,” he smiled, “But I’m dying to see you in some skimpy little bathing suit.”

She rolled her eyes, “I have a feeling that it won’t stay on long enough for you to appreciate it.”

He chuckled, “I can appreciate something as I’m taking it off.”

She laughed, “And where would we go?”

“Where would you like to go?”

She shrugged, “I don’t know.” She sat up, and Draco moved off of her, “Surprise me.”

He nodded, “I can do that.” He watched her gather her clothes from the floor, “What are you doing?”

“I have to run back to my flat before I go to work.”

“It’s not…” he looked over at the clock beside his bed, “I guess it is that late.” He sighed, “So this weekend, you’re up for it?”

She nodded, “I am.” She smiled at him as he yawned and crawled back onto the bed and began kissing him. He lay back, pulling her down with him as he cupped her ass, causing her skirt to ride up. She pulled away and smirked, “I have to go.”

“How many times have I told you not to start something you can’t finish?”

She shrugged, “I’ve lost count. But it’s just so easy and tempting to tease you, love.”

He smiled, “You had better leave now before I fuck you again.”

She nodded and crawled off him and the bed. She grabbed her cloak and her wand, “I’ll see you at lunch.”

She saw him nod once before she aspirated away.

Draco was sitting at his desk around 11:30 when a memo came flying into his office. He looked up as it landed in front of him and opened. He frowned when he found Hermione canceling plans to have lunch with him with no explanation. Well, he was going to get one.

He stood and left his office, making his way down the corridor to her office door, which was closed. “Granger,” he said opening the door and walking over to her desk, “what’s the big idea of canceling our lunch plans fifteen minutes before we’re supposed to go?”

She sighed, and stood, but before she could speak he heard another voice, “Stuff it, Malfoy. It’s not like she would rather eat with you than us.”

He turned to see Harry and Ron sitting on a sofa behind him. Draco gave Hermione a look and she lowered her head, “Malfoy, sorry about the short notice, but they surprised me.”

He raised an eyebrow, then looked over at Harry and Ron, “Could finally take some time out of your busy schedules to pay attention to Granger?”

Ron turned pink, “We don’t answer to you.”

Hermione sighed, “Dra…Malfoy. I’m sorry about canceling on you…” she gave him a hopeful look, hoping he could read her thoughts on how she could make it up tm.

He gave her a smirk, then looked over at Harry and Ron, “Well, since the two of you did ruin my plans, you won’t mind if I join you.”

“Absolutely not! You’re not coming with us!”

“Not going to happen.”

Draco smiled, “Good, then it’s agreed. Let’s go.”

“You’re not tagging along,” Ron said angrily.

“Why not?”

“Why would you want to?”

“Don’t want to eat by myself, and what could be better than annoying the two of you while you try to eat.”

“If he goes,” Ron began, folding his arms over his chest, “count me out.”

Hermione walked around her desk and narrowed her eyes at Draco as she passed him, “Look, it might not be that bad.”

“It’s a meal with him,” Harry said angrily.

“Well, it would give us time to discuss my purchase of your Quidditch team, Potter.”

He shook his head, “Meaning.”

“Meaning you should be a little nicer or I’ll dock your pay.”

“I’ll quit.”

“And we’ll discuss that over lunch.”

Hermione bit her lip, “You’re such an ass.”

“I know.”

She sighed, “Look, we’re not going to get rid of him, so we might as well get over it.”

Draco smiled, “Yeah.”

Harry and Ron narrowed their eyes at him, and Harry turned to Hermione, “Why are you letting him come along?”

She sighed, “Because I don’t feel like arguing with him. He’s more stubborn than the two of you and I really don’t feel like having to hear about it for weeks…months later.”

Harry sighed, obviously understanding that not allowing Draco to go would be more trouble than if he did. He looked over at his red-headed friend and sighed, “Look, if it keeps him off Hermione’s back we should let him…”

“Are you mad?”

Draco smirked as he watched the two friends argue. He glanced over at Hermione to find her frowning and suddenly felt badly about putting her in this position. She looked up and caught his gray eyes with her brown ones. This was hard on her. It was hard hiding things from her friends about the part of her life he played a role in.

“Fine!” Ron said angrily.

“Alright Malfoy, but we’re going to lay down some ground rules.”

One more look at Hermione and he shook his head, “Tell you what, I’ve changed my mind. Don’t want to spend my lunch hour with you wankers anyway.”

And with that he left her office. Harry watched him as he left, then at Hermione, who seemed to be in a bit of shock herself, “What the hell was that?”

She shook her head, “No idea.”

Ron sighed, “I hate him.”

Hermione bit her lip as Harry agreed and the two followed her out of her of. N. Never noticing the curious look she sent down to Draco’s closed office door.

Ron excused himself to go to the bathroom, as Harry and Hermione waited on the check. He smiled at her, “So how are things really going? Not your standard ‘fine’ answer.”

“Good. Things are good.”

“Been out recently?”

She shook her head, “No.”

“Really? That’s strange.”

“What’s strange?”

“Ginny went by your place last night and said you weren’t there.”

“I was working late.”

He furrowed his brow, “Where? I was at the office looking for you.”

She sighed, “Was everyone looking for me last night? Owl me if you can’t find me.”

“Alright, what’s really going on?”

“What? Nothing.”

“Hermione. Something is going on with you.”

“Nothing, I swear.”

“You’re a horrible liar.”

She sighed, “It’s nothing, alright? Leave it there.”

“No way, you’re hiding something and obviously don’t want me to know what it is.”

She frowned, “You wouldn’t understand.”

“Who were you with last night?”

She bit her lip, “No one.”

When her face began turning red her shook his head, “Well obviously you were with someone, otherwise you wouldn’t be turning red. Who were you with?”

“Harry. I can’t tell you.”

He sighed, “Why not?”

“I told you. You wouldn’t understand.”

Ron joined them again, “Alright, what did I miss?”

“Nothing.”

“Hermione’s seeing someone and won’t tell me who.”

She glared at Harry as Ron looked over at her, “Why won’t you say?”

“Because…it’s private.”

“When has that ever stopped you from telling us things?”

“You are my best friends…but if I told you, I don’t think you would be anymore.”

Ron chuckled, “Come on, not like it’s Malfoy…”

Hermione lowered her head and took several deep breaths.

Harry sat forward, “Tell me it’s not Malfoy.”

Ron looked at her wide eyed as she sighed, “It’s not, is it?”

She looked up at them, “No. Not Malfoy.”

Ron let out a sigh of relief, “Phew.” He looked over at Harry, “If she doesn’t want to say she doesn’t have to. As long as it isn’t Malfoy.”

Hermione bit her lip, as she looked over at Harry, who wasn’t quite as gullible as Ron. “Let’s go. I’m sure Hermione has work to do and I have practice in an hour.”

*~*

Ron hugged Hermione and apparated away, as Harry lingered a bit, “Look, we’re throwing a surprise party for Ron this weekend.”

Her eyes widened, “His birthday is Saturday.”

He nodded, “Yeah.”

“Harry…I don’t think I can. I have…I have plans.”

“With who?”

She sighed, “Someone.”

“What are your plans? I’m sure they can be broken.”

She shook her head, “No…look, just apologize to Ron for me, alright?”

“What’s going on with you?”
Harry…”

“Are you shagging Malfoy?”

She shook her head, “No…”

“You can’t even look me in the eye!”

She sighed, “Just tell Ron I’m sorry I couldn’t make it.”

“Just tell me what your plans are and I’ll leave you alone about it.”

“I…I can’t.”

“Why not?”

“Because I don’t really know. It’s a surprise.”

“You could come by for an hour.”

She sighed, “I’ll see what I can do.”

“It’s at Luna flat.” She nodded as Harry gave her a hug, “Whatever you’re doing and whoever it’s with, I hope you don’t get hurt the way I think you could.”

She gave him a sad smile before he apparated away.

*~*

She knocked on the door to Malfoy’s office and walked in, finding him sitting in his chair, reading over several brochures. “I’m torn.”

“About what?”

“Where to go.” He looked up at her, “So how was lunch?”

She sighed, “Fine.”

“Yeah, you’re a horrible liar, you know?”

She closed the door behind her and locked it. She moved over to him and sat in his lap. She wrapped her arms around his neck and just hugged him, “I’m sorry.”

He pushed her away from him a bit so he could look at her, “For what?”

“For ditching you, the way they treated you although you did deserve a bit of it…and for canceling this weekend.”

He frowned, “Why?”

“Ron’s birthday.”

He threw the brochure onto his desk and sighed, “Well, it was an idea.”

She sighed, “I tried to get out of it.”

“But you couldn’t. Obviously.”

“I’m sorry.”

He was playing with the hem of her skirt, “Yeah, well, I have to learn that Potty and Weasel take precedence.”

She shook her head, “That’s not true.”

He gave her a look, “Oh? And how many things have you canceled with them to be with me?”

“Are you jealous?”

He shook his head, “No. Pissed off, is what I am.”

She frowned, “I’m sorry.”

“You keep saying that. Stop.”

“What do you want from me? They’ve been my friends for most of my life…”

“I know. You like to remind me of that as often as possible.”

“You’re really being a jerk.”

“I’m being a jerk?” she nodded, “You have work to do. You should get to it,” he said pushing her off his lap.

She didn’t move, “What should I do? What do you want me to do? It’s either I go to this party or I’ll have to tell Harry about you and I.”

“Then tell him!”

“I thought we agreed…”

“That agreement was made over a year ago. I don’t care who knows.” At the look on her face he said, “But clearly you do.”

“I didn’t come in here to fight with you.”

“What did you come in here to do? Shag me then break the news? Or was it avoid the conversation all together and when you told me hope that I wouldn’t care?”

She shook her head, “This isn’t fair.”

“Yeah? Well that’s how I feel about it too. You’re so called friends don’t even know you. You see them maybe once a month at best. And while you’re writing to them once a week, they’re moving on and away. Then you come to me for the comfort you don’t get from them.” He shook his head as he pulled his wand out and set both brochures on his desk ablaze. “You should go.”

“Why are you making such a big deal about this?”

“Because it’s been a year and you…” he shook his head, “I pity the poor sap that marries you because he has two men to compete with who don’t even want anything to do with you.”

She shook her head and left his office, angrier than she had been in a long time. She was angry at Draco for acting like a prat and not understanding that her friends were important to her. She refused to apologize this time. He would have to come to terms with the fact that Harry and Ron were in her life and weren’t going anywhere. They were always going to be her friends no matter who she was dating.
