It was three days befor the Halloween Ball and the school was absolutly abuzz with excited mumur. The Headmaster had granted a Hogsmeades day for the younger students, extensivly chaperoned of course, for only a few hours. Currently it was the first years turn who were all excited about picking out Halloween outfits. Well, everyone was excited but me.

Pansy now refused to talk to me and Harry was still friends with Longbottom. Indeed if Pansy weren't but eleven years I would have guessed that it was her "time of the month." I wouldn't have said it out loud of course, Pansy seems so furious she might have slapped me.

"Chocolate always makes me feel better."

"You want me to buy you chocolate?" I ask Harry as he walks beside me. I steadfastly ignore the presence of Longbottom which is farely easy as the boy is quieter than a mouse.

"Not for me," Harry says, giving me a sharp poke in the ribs. "For Pansy."

"Oh," I say softly, glancing up at Pansy's slender figure a few feet ahead. Even Blaise and Daphne are having slight troubles keeping up with Pansy's angry strides.

"And maybe some flowers," continues Harry. "My Aunt Petunia always smiles when she sees flowers."

"Yes, perhaps you're right, Harry." Harry smiles up at me at the small praise and I smile at him in return.

When we finally reach Hogsmeade Pansy goes straight to the Halloween store with Daphne an Blaise by her side. Vince and Grege somehow manage to persuade Neville to go to the plant nursury with them, thus leaving Harry and I alone.

"Er, I think that's a sweet shop over there," Harry says, pointing to a kid-crowded store. The name 'Honeyduke's' is proudly displayed in curvy golden letters.

When Harry and I enter the crowded store I am slightly overwhelmed by the large selection on display. I have no idea what kind of chocolate Pansy likes.

"Oh," says Harry, catching my attention. "I think I've seen Pansy eating these before."

Harry, who is standing in front of a small display cabinet, points to a thin box of chocolates: Delafee. As a Malfoy the name is easily recognizable for me. Delafe is one of the most expensive chocolates in the world, made with edible 24k gold flakes. Mother likes to travel to Switerland to have Delafee create her her own private batch.

"I would like a box of Delafee," I say to the clerk. She smiles in some horrid simpering manner towards me before bending over until her and I are face to face.

"Awww, you're such a cutie! Are you a first year from Hogwarts?" I refuse to answer this woman's inane questions. "The sugar quills and chocolate frogs are over there," she says, pointing to the crowd of children. "Perhaps that's what you're looking for."

I am bloody furious. "Do you know who I am? If I were you I'd give me what I so kindly asked you for before I have you fired."

The woman frowns at my tone before letting out a nervous chuckle.

"What?" she asks nervously, cleary confused.

"Is there a problem over here?"

I turn my head slightly as a tall brown haired man steps forward. Its easy for me to figure out that he is the store owner from the cut of his robes. I smile in pure glee; finally I will be able to work out some of my pent up tension.

"Ah, Monsieur Honeyduke, I was just telling this employee of yours how I'd like to purchase a box of Delafee. For some reason she seems unable to process my request."

Instantly Honeyduke turns to the idiot woman. "Is there a particular reason why you denied Mr. Malfoy's request?"

The woman pales and I suppose she's finally realized how stupid she is. "M-M...Malfoy!?" gasps out the woman, understandibly distraught.

Honeyduke frowns at the woman's stuttered ramblings. He places a hand on her shoulder and she gazes up at him with wide eyes.

"Are you telling me that you did not know of Mr. Malfoy's identity?"

Mutely the woman nods her head and Honeyduke sighs. "Mr. Malfoy, I humbly apologize for the mistake of my employee, she's new to Hogsmead and as such was not aware that you would be attending Hogwarts. Please accept this box of Delafee aa well as this box of Richart--free of charge."

I nod my head in agreement and Honeyduke has the woman quickly wrap up the two boxes of chocolate in gold tissue paper before placing them in two silver giftbags (with Honeydukes blazing across the bags, of course). The woman smiles hesitantly as she hands me the bags and I smirk at her. She knows this chocolate is going to come out of her pay check, and with Delafee over 500 galleons a pound and Richart about 120 galleons a pound, it's no telling how many paychecks she's just lost during this one transaction.

With the two bags in my hands I turn towards Harry. "Harry, is there anything you'd like while we are here. I'd hate having to come back. The service is positivly atrocious."

Harry hesitates for a second. Though it is clear my boy has no idea about exactly what just happened he does notice the tension in the air. Quickly he shakes his head.

"Er, no! Not particularly. We should hurry and get Pansy's flowers 'cause it's almost time for us to meet up at the costume shop."

I give Harry a knowing smile because I saw the way he was eyeing the Godiva. I hand Harry one of the bags before leaning closer to the display case.

"Honeyduke, if you wouldn't mind, I'd like a box of Godiva as well. Though its not as expensive as the Delafee or the Richart, it is one of the few things those Americans can do right."

The tension around Honeyduke's mouth tightens as he orders the woman to give me a box of Godiva. When she hands it over her hands are shaking and I smile in wicked pleasure at her. I'm sure the idiot woman won't ever make this mistake again.

Before Harry and I exit Honeydukes I switch the Godiva with the bag I had given to Harry. I smile down at him before softly kissing him on the cheek. "Thanks for helping me pick out Pansy's favorite chocolate," I say quietly to Harry, leading the both of us out of the sweet's store. Harry blushes red, a wide grin on his face as he idly swings the Honeydukes bag back and forth, already forgetting about the small scene that had just played out.

Harry and I end up meeting Greg, Vince, and Longbottom at the plant nursery that we go to in order to get the roses for Pansy. Upon seeing the two of us, Longbottom immidiatly gushes to Harry about this plant and that plant and whatever the hell it is Herbology freaks talk about. When Vince and Greg walk up to me they each silently take a Honeydukes bag and I quickly make the flower purchase, wanting to leave the plant infested nursury, and hopefully the talkative Longbottom behind.

With flowers in hand our small group quickly makes it to the costume shop and upon entering I easily spot Pansy because of her pale pink hair. I hide the flowers behind my back and quickly walk up to the trio, that is Pansy, Blaise, and Daphne.

"Have you picked out a costume yet?" I ask Pansy, getting her attention. Evidently Pansy is in the middle of trying on costumes because instead of her usual robes she has on a deep red corset dress, the top of which was square cut, perhaps meant to show of cleavelage though at eleven Pansy most deffinitly has none. However, bosom or no even I have to admit that Pansy looks very regal in her costume.

She smiles at the complement and I let out a sigh of relief. Pansy turns to look at herself in the mirror, findleing with her hair for a few seconds. "Yes, I am rather fond of this dress. I would make a most beautiful vampiress, even with this hair."

"Your hair is perfect Pansy," whispers out Blaise and Pansy beams a large smile at him. Complements seem to work rather well on Pansy so I figure this is as good a time as any to make her forget all about the arguement a few days ago.

"I agree with Blaise, Pansy. Your hair is perfect." Pansy blinks at me in surprise as I complement her. Again. I reach out, bowing over her hand, sofly kissing the back of her knuckles. When I raise myself she is blushing a pale pink and I smirk in triumph, before pulling the pink roses from behind my back.

"Oh, Draco!" Pansy gasps out as she sees the pale pink roses.

I smile at her, before handing the roses over. "The color of your hair, Pansy."

Pansy throws her arms over my shoulders, giving me a tight hug. "Thank you, thank you, thak you..." squeals Pansy, over and over. When Pansy ends the hug I take the bag containing the Delafee from Vince. When Pansy opens the silver bag and removes the golden tissue paper she sees that the Honeyduke's bag contains Delafee and gasps in pleased surprise.

"Holy Merlin, how'd you know Delafee is my favorite chocolate?"

I shrug my shoulders in nonchalance. "Lucky guess."

Pansy smiles at me and I take her hand in mine again. "Pansy, I would love it if you would be my vampiress for this coming up All Hallows Eve."

Pansy smile seems to light up the room and tears appear in her eyes. "Oh, Draco of course I'd love to be your date for the Halloween dance."

I smile in relief as Pansy helps me pick out a companion costume for the ball, completly relieved that Pansy has forgivin me, or at least fogotten about whatever it was that had her so angry.

As Pansy chatters with Daphne about costume colors for me, forcing me to try on one costume after another, the only thought passing through my brain is: where is my boy?

Finally Pansy decides on silver and black costume (thank Merlin it's not all black), and as we make our purchase, I still can't find the figure of my boy. Or that of Longottom. I growl, stalking out of the store to the distant cries of my name being called. In record time I make it back to Hogwarts, only now noticing that Greg and Vince are a few paces behind me. When I make it to Harry's suite I bang on the door furiously. "Harry, Harry..." I call, but there's no answer.

Enraged I turn around, positivly fuming. If I find out that Harry left me for that Longbottom boy I am going to...ugh, I don't know what I am going to do but it most deffinitly will be painful. For Longbottom.

"Harry's probably at that greenhouse," Vince says.

"When we were at the nursury Longbottom bought a few plants that needed almost immidiate attention," says Greg, elaborating.

"Ah, that's as good a guess as any," I say, sharply turning on my heel as I make my way towards the school exit. Once outside again I quickly make my way towards Greenhouse C, the one that Harry and that Longbottom boy are using. When I enter the greenhouse Longbottom is looking rather nervous at Harry who is on his hands and knees, stabbing the dirt furiously.

"Harry," I call out, getting my boy's attention. When Harry sees me his dirt streaked face turns upwards into a smile before he suddenly scowls at me, turning back to his furious battle with the dirt.

I furrow my brows in confusion. Vince and Greg make their way forward, each taking ahold of Longbottom before ushering him out of the greenhouse quickly. I suppose they know that I wish to talk with Harry alone.

"Harry, what happened. After I gave Pansy those flowers you just left. I--"

"So!" Harry yells, throwing down one of his gardening tools. "You don't need me! Just go and be with Pansy!"

I stalk forward, pulling Harry out of the dirt, holding his shaking form by the shoulders. "Harry, there is no one I want to be with more than you."

Harry shakes his head from side to side. "I saw how happy Pansy was when you gave her the flowers. Vince and Greg seem to know your needs so well, always there to help you with one thing or another. And Blaise! He's so different--interesting and unique. I just...I-I know that eventually your going to leave. You're not gonna wanna be my friend anymore."

There are tears in Harry's eyes and I sigh as I pull him into a tight hug. "Harry, none of that matters, the only person I'm interested in is you. I will be your friend for as long as you want me to."

Harry shakes his head again and I growl. When I rip Harry's robes open he gasps in shock. Quickly I pull out his chain, dangling the pendent in front of Harry's eyes.

"Did I give this to Pansy? Vince or Greg? Or even Blaise?"

Harry bites his bottom lip, looking down at the ground. "No, but--"

"Exactly, Harry. I gave this to you. You were my first friend, Harry. There's no one I care for more than you, no one's whoes friendship is more important to me than yours."

"But Pansy--"

"Pansy is nothing more to me than my betrothed. Believe me Harry, if I could change that I would. I roud rather..." I take in a deep breath, letting out a huge sigh as I take a few steps back from Harry. Harry frowns at my sudden movement.

"Draco, what is it?" Harry asks, moving closer to me. He takes one of my hands in his. "What's wronge?"

"Harry I--" I bring my head closer to Harry's. My boy's eye brows draw together in confusion. I sigh again. "Harry, if I could be betrothed to anyone in the world, I'd choose you."

Harry confusion grows. "Draco, I don't understand. I mean Pansy is to be your wife. I'm a boy, your a boy. We can't--"

I stop all of Harry's protests by placing my lips upon his. Harry gasps in shocked surprise and I place my tongue in his as I've seen Mother do with a few of her pets. Harry is very innocent but with a little bit of coaxing he meets my tongue with his. Our kiss is sloppy and inexpierienced, and we bump heads a few times and when Harry bites my bottom lip I pull back.

Harry's face is flushed and he licks his lips in awe, gazing at me with wide eyes. Softly I kiss his lips again before pulling back almost instantly. "Now do you believe me, Harry?"

Harry nods his head, still clearly shocked from our first kiss. "See, I would never do this with Greg or Vince."

"Or Blaise," Harry says, letting out a small laugh. I smile at him, taking his hand in mine as I lead us out of the greenhouse. I am all too aware of the fact that Harry is waiting for me to say, 'and Pansy' but the both of us knows that is impossible. After all, Pansy is my betrothed.
