Chapter 19
Blinding Discoveries
Everything seemed to stand still as Harry’s eyes raked over Sirius’ body. He looked exactly the same, even the same rips and tears in his clothing. Sirius was still looking around a little confusedly before he let his eyes fall on Lucius Malfoy. He made a grab for his wand and Harry leapt in between them before anything happened. Sirius looked at him, “Harry, what are you doing? Get away! I don’t know how I got out of that thing, but now that I am, we have to kill him!”
Harry smiled at Sirius and shook his head, “No, Lucius is different, the Malfoy family went over to the light side Sirius, Lucius got you back out of the veil for me….” Harry said, glancing back at Lucius who looked better but still a little weak. Draco and Severus were standing next to him. Sirius looked at Harry for a few minutes before lowering his wand and nodding, “I’ll take your word for it Harry…how long have I been in there? What day is it?”
Harry felt his mind racing, “You’ve been in there for a year…almost a year and a half. And…it’s Christmas.”
Sirius nodded and his entire body seemed to relax. “Happy Christmas Harry.” He said and wrapped Harry up in a bear hug. Harry didn’t even feel embarrassed when he felt the tears falling down his face. He felt someone’s arm on his shoulder from behind him and he glanced back to Severus. Harry turned around and gave Severus a hug to, and he heard Sirius snort of laughter.
“Why are you hugging him? He’s been nothing but mean to you for…how long was it again?” Sirius asked glaring at Severus. Harry laughed, “Don’t Sirius, me and Severus are very close, he’s like a father to me.” Harry winced when he saw the look of disbelief and jealously on Sirius’ face. “Well, not for long, I’m back now Harry, no need to settle for second best.”
Harry felt Severus tense and he gave Sirius a glare, “I am going to have to ask you not to insult Severus…I do agree that now that you are back we can become closer, but you will never replace Severus….” Harry didn’t want to hurt his godfather’s feelings, but he saw the hurt in his eyes and felt bad.
“I won’t make him choose between us Black…..you shouldn’t either.” Severus took his hand off of Harry’s shoulder and walked back to the now completely better Lucius. “As much as I like sitting here, I do believe we should go back to the manor.” Lucius said and everyone nodded in agreement, even Sirius who kept glancing at the veil.
They were all back in the manor in 5 minutes and everyone had a nice seat next to the fireplace. “Ok, now tell me everything that has happened since I’ve been….um….gone!” Sirius said happily as Lucius handed him a cup of Cocoa.
Harry sighed and began telling Sirius everything that happened, about how Vernon blinding him, about how he became close to Severus, about how he got his vision back, better than it was before, and how he could see magic and he even told him and everyone else that didn’t know that he could do wandless magic. He also told him about how him and Draco had fallen for each other and how he was in a relationship with him. Draco looked extremely proud at this, happy that Harry didn’t mind telling his only living relative.
When Harry finally stopped talking Sirius jumped up and grabbed a hand full of floo powder. “Where are you going Black?” Lucius asked as he stood up and Sirius glared at him. “Those…those muggles hurt him, and I’m going back so I can teach them a lesson that they will never forget!” Lucius grabbed Sirius hand and shook all of the powder out of it and then glared at him. “I did not just drag you up from the bloody veil for you to go off and get yourself thrown in Axkaban, sit down, and visit with your godson.”
Sirius glared at Lucius but sat down again and smiled apologetically at Harry. “So…you um, can do wandless magic? Show us.” Sirius said and leaned forward excitedly and Harry was surprised at how quick Sirius’ moods could change. Harry glanced over at Lucius and then at Severus. He thought about a spell he could do, and then smiled wickedly. He put his hand over Sirius’ hair and thought hard about it turning blue…Harry took his hand off in surprise when the color started to seep into Sirius’ hair, finally stopping at the roots.
Sirius looked at him weirdly, “What did you do?” He asked and then jumped up when everyone started to laugh. He walked over to the mirror that was hanging on the wall above the fireplace and looked at his now blue hair. He turned around and glared at Harry. “IF you don’t change my hair back right now, you are…..you are…..grounded!” Sirius said and Harry waved his hand in the air, still laughing and Sirius turned back around to the mirror and saw his black hair back in place.
He walked back over to his seat and sat down. “That really is impressive Harry, I mean, you know how powerful that makes you?”
Harry nodded and looked at his hand that had pulsing deep silver lines running everywhere. Sirius stood up again this time slowly, “Does anyone have an owl I can borrow? I need…I need to write Remus.” He said and Harry looked at him with a smirk. “Yea…I’m sure you both have missed each other, but I think you’ll have to ask Lucius before screwing poor Professor Lupin into one of his beds.”
Sirius’ eyes widened at that and he glared at the now laughing Lucius. “Harry! I can assure you, that I will ask Lucius before I do any such thing! Now where is your owl!?” Harry stood up and walked Sirius through the corridors and staircases and led him into his room.
“As you can see I already have ink and stuff out on the desk, and Hedwig will gladly take your letter to Remus.”
Sirius looked at smiled at Harry, finally turning serious and Harry could feel the tears already burning in his eyes. “I’m sorry that I left you for so longer kiddo…I mean….I shouldn’t have been there, it was foolish of me to do, a mistake that I won’t make again ok?”
Harry nodded and Sirius swept him into another hug, and kissed the top of his head. “Go on back down, I remember the way.”
Harry nodded and walked back down to the living room and smiled at them all. “Thank you for the gift’s everyone. Especially you Lucius, I don’t think I could ever repay you.”
Lucius nodded, “No need to worry about it Harry, I was happy to give you your family back.”
Harry smiled and walked over to the couch where he had left his snake, he picked her up and smiled, “I see that you are much more happier.” The snake hissed at him.
“Yes….Sapientia, I am happier.”
The snake smiled at the name and wrapped itself lightly around Harry’s neck. Harry sat down next to Draco and grabbed his hand. He leaned in kissed Draco’s ear softly before whispering, “I love you Draco Malfoy.”
He pulled back and smiled at Draco who was looking very surprised and happy at the same time. Sirius came back down and winked at the now smiling Harry. “I hope you don’t mind that Remus is coming over for the rest of the holiday’s Lucius, if you do mind….he will leave.”
Lucius smiled at Sirius, “Who am I to keep two lost lovers apart?”
Sirius sat down and smiled at Lucius happily as they all waited for Remus to arrive.

Lucius smiled at Sirius, “Who am I to keep two lost lovers apart?”
Sirius sat down and smiled at Lucius happily as they all waited for Remus to arrive.
