Changes
“Gretchen, Patrick, and I talked last night and we have come to a decision regarding Natalie. She is going to continue to live with her grandparents until Luna graduates from school and then she will come live with us. I don’t want to burden Luna with a new marriage and a new baby and her education all at once. She has a year and a half left and I am sure that Natalie will be just fine with her grandparents. She is going to come and stay with us on the weekends and we will either share the holidays or just spend them together.”
Molly smiled. “I am glad that you worked it out. Gretchen and Patrick are such nice Muggles. They love their granddaughter.”
“And what about you, Mum, do you love your granddaughter?”
Molly hit George upside the head with her rolled newspaper and scowled. “You idiot! How can you have a baby before you’re even married, and with a Muggle no less?” she demanded. “And why in god’s name did you not tell me about it until after she was born?”
George smiled. He knew that the lecture was coming and he figured he might as well get it over with before she stewed about it any longer. “She looks just like you, Mum.”
Molly smiled. “She does, doesn’t she?” Molly sat down in the chair next to her younger twin. “George, this isn’t going to be easy for you or Natalie, not to mention poor Luna. She didn’t ask for any of this either. It must be difficult to know you are about to be a wife and a mother within a matter of weeks to someone you barely know.”
“It will be fine, Mum. Luna liked Natalie.”
“Natalie is a baby, what’s not to like? It will be different when that baby is howling all night long and she has to get up with it! That baby is your responsibility, George Weasley, and you better not expect that poor girl to take care of it for you!”
“Mum! She’s going to be my wife and Natalie’s stepmother! Why wouldn’t I expect her to take care of her?” he asked bewildered.
“Because Natalie is your daughter, your responsibility. Of course Luna will help, but don’t expect her to change every crappy nappy or get up and feed her in the middle of the night. It’s not women’s work to take care of a baby, you know. A man equally participated in creating a baby, and he can equally participate in taking care of it! In this case, Natalie isn’t even Luna’s to begin with!”
“I wasn’t going to marry the witch and then dump Natalie on her and disappear!” George said indignantly. “What do you think I am, Mum?” he demanded.
“An irresponsible child, George Weasley!” Molly shouted hitting him again with her paper. “Why didn’t you use a contraceptive spell?”
“I thought I did!” he yelled. “I had so much to drink that night, I barely even remember it happening!”
“That is not an excuse! When you are that intoxicated, keep your dick in your trousers, young man!” she hollered.
“Mum!” George exclaimed turning bright red.
“Do you think that after seven kids I don’t know how babies are made?” she demanded. “That girl didn’t create Natalie on her own!”
George decided that the conversation was going off in the wrong direction and he needed to change the subject. “I need to speak with Luna. She is going to be at her father’s today and I told her that I would meet her there. Can we finish this later?”
“There’s not much left to say now is there?” she demanded. “George, just take care of my grandbaby. She is a part of this family now, regardless of how she arrived.”
Molly was secretly thrilled to have a new granddaughter. First Bill and Fleur had a daughter, and now George had one. She smiled inwardly. She and Arthur had to try seven times to have a daughter, and now all of her son’s were producing daughters. She suspected that soon she would be over run with grandchildren as all of her children were getting married with the exception of Charlie.
Kingsley was staring in disgust at all the paperwork on his desk. He had hundreds of petitions from couples that did not want to marry the person they had been assigned to. He wished that this law hadn’t of passed, but on the other hand, if it hadn’t, he never would have seen Blaise. He smiled when he thought of his son. He was quite happy to have a child, even if he was already grown. Soon, he suspected that he would have grandchildren. The Weasley family seemed to be very fertile and he hoped that he and Ginny would have a large family. He rather doubted that he would ever marry or have another child.
He picked up his quill and the closest parchment and checked the box marked denied and signed his name. There was no way that he could approve all of these petitions. The purpose of the law was to encourage marriages and child bearing. If he allowed these people to back out then he would be going against the nature of the law. He had thought long and hard about what to do and decided that if the petitions mentioned an alternative match then he would approve it, but if it cited incompatibility he would deny the request. They would just have to live together for the five required years and hopefully produce a kid or two in the meantime.
He looked up as he heard a knock on his door. “Yes,” he called.
“Minister, there is a Neville Longbottom here to see you,” his secretary said smiling. She thought he was the most sexy man alive, even if he was thirty years her junior. If she were a young witch she would have been all over him.
Kingsley smiled. “Send him in,” he said. The Longbottom heir had been instrumental in helping Harry Potter defeat Voldemort. He had severed the head of his familiar, thus destroying one of his many horcruxes.
“Minister!” Neville said with a grin.
Kingsley stood and held out his hand. “Mr. Longbottom! How good to see you again! How have you been? Please, have a seat,” he said waving his hand to the seat in front of his desk.
“I’ve been well, and you?” he asked with a smile.
“Great! I am sure that you have heard that I have gained a son?” he proudly asked.
Neville grinned. “Blaise is a great guy, even if he is a Slytherin,” Neville said.
Kingsley laughed. “He probably has a bit of his mother in him,” he said.
“I would imagine,” he said.
“What can I do for you, Neville?” he asked. He knew that there had to be a reason that the young man was there.
“I would like to be released from my marriage match to Romilda Vain.”
Kingsley sighed. “I see,” he said. He felt torn. If anyone deserved to be happy it was Neville. He grew up without parents, living with a tyrant of a grandmother who treated him barely better than a squib and then he had a hard time at Hogwarts until he had proven himself at the Ministry of Magic when the debacle occurred when Voldemort and his death eaters had came and broke in hoping to stead the prophet.
“I have found someone else that I would rather marry,” he said softly.
Kingsley perked up. “Is that right? Who is the lucky witch?” he asked with a grin.
“Millicent Bulstrode,” he said.
Kingsley felt his stomach drop. He knew that she had been paired with the youngest Weasley son. He didn’t want to take the witch away from a Weasley if there was a possibility that the kid wanted her. “How does Mr. Weasley feel about this?”
Neville immediately bristled. “Ron and Millie hate each other, and he takes every opportunity he can to verbally abuse her and make sure that she is aware of his feelings for her,” he stormed.
Kingsley was taken aback. He had never heard the mousy kid stand up with such conviction. “And Miss Bulstrode is happy with you as a mate?” he asked.
“Of course she is, or I wouldn’t be in here now then would I?” he demanded. “We had planned to elope, but nobody will marry us without documentation showing that our match is approved by the ministry.”
“Is Miss Bulstrode here with you now?”
Neville nodded. “She’s out in the waiting room.”
“Mrs. Whitely?” he called to his secretary.
A second later the white haired witch stuck her head in the door. “Yes, Minister?” she asked with a smile.
“Can you please ask Miss Bulstrode to join us?”
She nodded and disappeared out the door. A moment later a shy witch joined them. She was frumpy and not very attractive, but she had very beautiful eyes. “You are Miss Bulstrode?” he asked in surprise. She was not what he had been expecting. He thought she must have been a beautiful vibrant witch to have gained the attention of Neville.
“Yes, sir,” she answered with a firm voice.
“And you would like to be released from your obligation to Ronald Weasley to marry Neville Longbottom?”
Millie smiled and nodded her head. “Yes, sir.”
“Are you in love with Mr. Longbottom?”
Millie was startled by the question. She hadn’t expected it. “No sir, I am not. However, I believe that eventually I can find love with him. He is a kind and gentle man and I know that we would rub along nicely together.”
“I see,” he said thoughtfully. “Neville, are you in love with Miss Bulstrode?”
Neville blushed and shook his head. “No sir, but I agree with Millie. I believe that we are compatible enough that we could make a go at a marriage.”
“And you don’t believe that is possible with Miss Vain?” he demanded.
“No, sir, I do not.”
“And you don’t believe you can make a successful marriage with Ron Weasley?” he asked looking at Millie.
“No, I do not.”
Kingsley thought for a moment. He knew that this law was going to disrupt several lives and make many couples very unhappy, but he decided that if could help this couple from being miserable he would do it. He had just told himself that if a couple offered up an alternative then he would approve it. His only hesitation was in the fact that this was Ron Weasley. He too had done much to help with the war with Voldemort, standing along side of Harry as well. “How will this affect your friendship with Mr. Weasley?”
“Ron and I are at odds right now as it is,” Neville said shaking his head. He hoped that someday Ron would grow up and act like an adult, but he doubted it.
“Here is what I have decided. You will each pay a fine to you ex-fiancé’s of five hundred galleons. This will help to cover any breach of promise issues. When I receive a Gringotts draft from you then I will approve this petition.”
Neville smiled and Millie frowned. She turned and looked at Neville. “I am not sure that my father will give me the money, Neville,” she said.
Neville smiled and hugged Millie to him. “Don’t worry yourself over it. I will cover it. I would gladly have paid more to get out of marrying Romilda. Minister, give me an hour and I will be back with the money!” he said excitedly.
“I will also require that the two of you marry today. I can’t have either of the other fiancé’s tying to cause a problem. With the fine and the marriage already a done deal they can’t complain to much.”
Millie and Neville looked at each other in surprise. They hadn’t expected that part. They both smiled shyly and nodded at the minister. “We shall return within the hour,” Neville said.
Kingsley smiled as they left the office. He would wait until they returned to notify either of the other parties involved. He hoped that the Weasley family would understand.
“Mum!” Ginny hollered when she stepped through the floo. There was no answer so she shouted louder. The weasel in her arms made a strange noise and struggled to be released. “Oh no you don’t, Ron!”
“Ginny?” Molly said appearing in the doorway wiping her hands on her apron. “What are you doing here?” she demanded.
“I brought you a present,” she grinned and held the rodent up by his tail in much the same manner as Millie had done.
“What is the fowl thing?” Molly shrieked, “Get that disgusting rodent out of my house!” she cried.
Ginny howled with laughter.
“Ginevra Weasley! Don’t stand there laughing you fool head off! Get that thing out of here!” she yelled.
Ginny dropped Ron and doubled over in laughter. Ron seeing his chance at escape raced from his sister straight to his mother leaping up into her arms. She screeched and flung him down away from her. Ginny had tears streaming down her face as she watched her mother shoo her brother away.
Ron kept trying to get to his mother but she kept screaming and trying to run from him. Finally Molly realized that she had her wand in her pocket and pointed it at him.
“Mum! No!” Ginny screamed trying to stop her.
“Ginny, I told you I don’t want this filthy thing in my house!” she yelled and shouted, “Evanesco!”
Ginny watched in horror as her brother disappeared. “Mum!” she screamed. “That was Ron!”
Molly stood in horror looking at her daughter in disbelief. “What?” she shrieked.
“That was Ron! Millie turned him into a Weasel! I brought him to you to have a talk with him.”
Molly dropped to her knee’s, stunned. “That was Ron?” she whispered in shock.
“Mum! Where did he go?” Ginny demanded.
“I don’t know!” Molly cried. “I’ve never tried to get anything back that I made disappear! What have I done?”
Ginny ran to her mother and together they cried.
“Duck you head as you enter so that the flying snorgles don’t attack you,” Luna said with a smile.
George looked quizzically at Luna but ducked his head as he entered the house. It was a strange shaped house, but as the Burrow was also a little out of the ordinary he didn’t comment on it. “How are you today, Luna?”
She smiled. “I am good. How are you and Natalie?” she asked.
“Natalie went back to her grandmother’s house. We have decided that Natalie will stay with them during the week and with us on the weekends.”
Luna’s bright smile vanished. “What?” she demanded.
George was taken back by the immediate change on her face. “I thought that you would approve. This will give you time to complete school and grow accustomed to our marriage without the added burden of having to care for a baby,” he said. He knew from both his mother and Gretchen that Luna wasn’t responsible for Natalie and he didn’t want to burden her anymore than he had to.
“Why?” she demanded. “Why would you do something so stupid?”
“What?” he asked stupidly.
“That is our daughter, George Weasley, and we will be raising her, not her grandparents. They can visit her on the weekends, but we are her Mum and Dad and we will be raising her!” Luna shouted.
He stared at her in shock. He had not expected this at all. He had thought that she would be pleased and told her so.
“Why would I be pleased?” she demanded. “A mother doesn’t want to be separated from her daughter!”
“But Luna, she isn’t really your daughter,” George said. She was acting as if she had given birth to the baby.
“Are you and I getting married George Weasley?” she demanded.
“Of course we are,” he said thinking she had lost her mind.
“Then if you and I are getting married and Natalie is your daughter, then that means on the day that we marry she will be my daughter!” Luna shouted. “I will be raising my daughter myself, are we clear on that, George Weasley?”
He nodded his head and numbly sat down on the lopsided sofa. “What about school, Luna?”
“What about it?” she asked.
“Don’t you want to finish?”
“I have spoken to Headmistress McGonagall and she has agreed that I may take my N.E.W.T.’s at the end of this year. I am ready to be your wife and Natalie’s mother. You and I will have other children as well.”
George smiled at that. “You think so?” he asked with a grin. He had never thought of Luna sexually and this was a surprise.
“Yes, we will. I want a large family.”
His smile disappeared at this. “How large?” he asked.
“Not as large as a pack of snarkles, but probably as many as a gaggle of haposluffs.”
What did that mean? He was afraid to ask. “I thought that a couple would be plenty,” he said.
“No, that won’t do at all. You are a Weasley, all Weasley’s have large families.”
“Luna, we really don’t need to have as many children as my parents had. They were trying for a daughter.”
Luna looked at him and smiled serenely. “Perhaps we will need to try that many times for a son,” she suggested.
George laughed. “Daughters are rare in the Weasley family, not son’s.”
“We shall see.”
“Luna, about Natalie. Are you sure that you want the responsibility of her full time? I don’t want to push you into something that you are not ready for,” he said softly.
“I want Natalie with us. She needs her Mum and I plan to be the best mother ever. George, a witch needs her Mum.”
“What if she doesn’t turn out to be magical? Will you still feel the same way?”
“Of course I will! She will be my daughter regardless of whether or not she is a witch or a Muggle. She will be a witch though, I could feel the magic radiating from her last night as I held her in my arms.”
George hoped that Luna was right but wasn’t going to put much crecidence in it. Nobody else had commented on it. “We need to decide when we are to wed.”
“I would like to do so on Christmas day.”
“Really? Why?” He was surprised that she would like to marry that quickly. They had six weeks still.
“I always wanted to get married on Christmas and wear a red dress and have ivy in my hair,” she said dreamily.
“I wonder if we could find someone to perform the ceremony on that day,” he mused out loud.
“Professor McGonagall said that she would do it if we had the ceremony in the morning,” she said smiling. She walked over to George and sat on his lap. She looked into his blue eyes and touched the side of his face softly. “It would make me very happy to be your Christmas present,” she said huskily.
George immediately felt all of the blood in his body go straight to his cock. She couldn’t have met what he thought that she met. She was too innocent for a comment like that. Wasn’t she? He barely had time to register that thought when he felt her soft lips close over his. He wrapped his arms around her and groaned when he felt her tongue thrust into his mouth. “Luna,” he groaned.
“Kiss me, darling,” she whispered pulling his tighter against her warm body.
“You don’t know what you’re doing to me,” he muttered.
“Am I playing with fire?” she asked.
“Definitely,” he said crushing his lips against her and reaching his hand up to caress the side of her full breast. He had never known that she had such a rip and lush body hidden under those shapeless school robes.
“Touch me, George,” she demanded.
“Luna,” he said pulling away. “We need to slow down. I can’t control myself when you talk like that and now isn’t the time.”
“We’re here alone,” she whispered.
“Luna, are you a virgin?” he asked. She was pushing him more than he thought an innocent would.
“Kind of,” she whispered.
“What does that mean?” he asked with a frown.
“Does it count when you pleasure yourself?” she asked as she ground her hips into his throbbing erection.
“Oh god!” he whispered at the thought.
"Or when I look at naughtly magazines and want to do what they are doing?" she asked grinding her hips deeper against him.
"Bloody hell, how much control do you think I have?" he rasped.
