Hermione sat at the kitchen table, wrapped tightly in her grey satin dressing gown, staring thoughtfully into her porridge. It was still a bit to grasp that she was going to be a mother. This really certainly isn't how I imagined things turning out, even in my wildest dreams. Though I will admit, every thing isn't as bad as I know it could be. I live in a lovely house, with a shockingly sweet husband, and a wonderful friend. And now, now I'm going to be a mum. We're going to have a family! Then again... I'm only going by what I've been told. I don't know for sure...

Her porridge forgotten, Hermione slid from her chair and ran to the library. Quickly she began to look through the books. As she rounded a bookcase she was quite suprised that she wasn't the only one there.

"Remus, what are you doing up? It's only just eight," she asked curiously as she searched the shelves.

"I've always been an early riser," he said with a smile, not looking up from his book. "And what are you doing in the library at such an early hour? That is, if you don't mind my asking."

Hermione smiled as she pulled a book from the shelf and sat down in a chair opposite Remus. "I'm just seeing something for myself, I suppose," she said as she paged through the dusty book til she found what she was looking for.

"Oh?" Remus looked up from his book, curiously watching as Hermione waved her wand over her stomach and whispered quietly. He couldn't help but smile as he saw one ball of white light appear, followed by another. They hovered above her for a few moments before each taking on colour and then disappearing.

"Well, that was... unexpected." Hermione said as she sat back in her chair. "Does it run in Sirius' family? Because it's certainly not in mine."

"I wouldn't know, Hermione. You'll have to ask him. Perhaps over tea," Remus laughed as he spoke. "That would give both him and Molly a real shock, I think."

"Ah, speaking of tea, Remus... It will be formal tea. The usual rules stand, so please help Sirius remember that. I know he isn't terribly fond of it, but today it's terribly important," Hermione said, a small smile playing on her lips. "I want Molly Weasley out of her element, so to speak."

"You know, Sirius enjoys your afternoon teas far more than he lets on, and not just because he can stuff himself on those Devonshire splits and the Victoria sponge. He's really quite fond of spending time with you, even if it means dressing up and keeping his bawdy jokes to himself."

"I'm quite fond of spending time with him as well... It doesn't matter if his shirt's untucked and all wrinkles, and he's telling the dirtiest joke I've ever heard... I still love being around him," Hermione blushed and coughed a little when she realized just how open and ungaurded her statement was.

"Don't worry, Angel. I'm not telling anyone," Remus told her with a reassuring smile. "Besides, I think he already knows."

"Um, yes, right... Oh, and would you be so kind as to go get Molly this afternoon? I would go if I didn't have to get things ready here. And to be quite honest, I don't trust Sirius to do it without saying something... Or doing something, for that matter. He has a tendancy to be a bit... rash at times."

"Of course. I don't mind. I have to admit I'm just eager to see what this plan of yours is..."

"All I'm willing to say is that I'm going to employ some... Gods help me... Slytherin tactics," Hermione said with a little smirk as she got up from her chair. She pressed a kiss to Remus's cheek and left the room, intent on getting everything in order for this afternoon.

Hermione headed upstairs and slipped back into the bedroom. She couldn't help but smile a bit as she watched her husband sleep. Sirius looked like a God lying there with the bedsheet wrapped around his waist, barely keeping him 'decent'. Not being able to resist, Hermione crawled up onto the bed next to him and placed a soft kiss on his slightly parted lips. She shrieked as his arms wrapped around her and flipped her over onto the mattress, pinning her beneath him.

"You nearly gave me a heart attack, Sirius Black!" Hermione said, her eyes narrowed as she looked up at his grinning face.

"Nearly, so there's nothing to worry about," Sirius whispered before he pressed his lips to hers, kissing her with quiet passion.

Any arguement that Hermione might have had was pushed from her mind as soon as his lips touched hers. It was like the man had the ability to wipe all concious thought from her head and replace it with a burning fire that his touch would fuel, fully igniting her body.

Sirius placed soft kissed down her neck til he reached the top of her dressing gown. "We can't have that in the way, Love," he said as he untied the sash and pulled the garment open to reveal her beautifully curvey body. He dipped his head again, slowly licking down her neck and across her chest before taking one of her soft, well formed breasts into his mouth. Hermione moaned out as he flicked his tongue over her nipple, hardening it under his touch before moving over to lavish the same attention on the other.

After a few moments Sirius began to trail kisses down her stomach, stopping briefly to swirl his tongue around the edge of her navel. "You know," he said between kisses, "It may not have been what we had in mind... But I'm certainly not complaining." He licked his way down her smooth thigh. "Gotta admit, I like the idea of having a family. Watching you swell with our child... So bloody sexy," Sirius muttered softly before moving to lick between her legs.

Hermione moaned softly and bucked her hips as his tongue played across her sensitive clit. Quick strokes, back and forth soon had her writhing beneath him. "Sirius," she hissed. "Please, I need you. I need to feel you."

Not having to be told twice, Sirius crawled up the bed to her, taking her lips in a searing kiss. Hermione moaned as she returned the kiss. She couldn't begin to describe the eroticism of tasting herself on her lover's tongue. However she didn't have much time to dwell on it as she was totally distracted from her thoughts when Sirius thrust himself into her tight, wet cunt.

"Gods, yes, Sirius!" Hermione cried out as he began to thrust with deep even strokes. She wrapped her arms around him and drew him close against her, running her nails down his back as he hit that wonderful spot inside her.

Sirius hissed as her manicured nails abraided his back, adding a little bit of pain to the overwhelming pleasure he was receiving. He picked up his pace as Hermione began to raise her hips, meeting him thrust for thrust.

"Please, harder... So close," Hermione moaned out as her desire was met. Sirius thrust into her, hard and deep. It only took a few more strokes to bring her release, her body shaking and whimpering beneath his.

Sirius groaned as she came around him, her cunt wrapping him in an impossibly tight embrace. With quick, erratic movements he came, shooting his warmth deep inside her.

They lay there for a few moments, catching their breath before Sirius slid from Hermione and drew her body close against his. "Enjoy yourself, Love?" Sirius asked, his self assured grin creeping across his face.

"Aren't we a bit cocky?"

"Always, Love, always."

"And yes, I did enjoy myself. Thank you," Hermione said with a shy smile. It was still a bit difficult for her to talk about sex, even if she was open and uninhibited during the act, afterward was still a bit of a challenge.

"What have you got planned for the day?" Sirius asked as he lay next to her, playing with her soft curls.

"I've got to get up for one... Then I need to bottle the 'cure' and make sure that I get a phial to Remus. I need to get things together for tea. And speaking of tea, the usual rules apply," Hermione said, placing a soft kiss on his lips.

"Alright. I suppose I can stand dressing up nice and behaving like a 'good boy' for a little while," Sirius said with an overly dramatic huff. "'Sides... It'll throw Molly for a loop, I'd think."

"Thank you. You know, I really do appreciate you having tea with me every day the way you do. Mum and I used to do it when I was a little girl, up until I went off to school. Then we'd have tea like that when ever we could manage. She'd get out the good china and silver and we would have tea and get a chance to catch up. It was nice having that little bit of civility in an otherwise uncivilized world. I miss it... and I miss her," Hermione said as she slipped out of the bed and went to dig through the closet for something to wear.

Sirius felt a slight pull in his chest as he watched his wife blink a tear from her eye as she got dressed, doing her best not to become any more upset. He knew it was unfair that her parents had been taken from her the previous year. They didn't get the chance to see what a beautiful, brilliant woman she had become, to see her married, or to eventually see their grandchild grow up. He knew that it must eat her terribly, despite what she showed on the outside.

"Well, what do you think?" Hermione asked, pulling Sirius from his contemplative reverie.

Hermione was wearing a charcoal grey linen pant suit with a crisp white blouse. A few of the top buttons were undone to show off the diamond necklace that Sirius had given her on her birthday. He could see she was wearing the matching earrings as well, with her hair queued back into a neat french braid.

"Mmmmm. Perfect... You're the picture of understated elegance, Love," he said as he leaned back against the headboard. "I'd love to get you out of those clothes again, but I think you'd have my head, so I'll just have to wait til after tea."

Hermione could feel the heat creeping high on her cheeks as he spoke. "Thank you. I'm glad you like." Placing a soft kiss on his cheek she said: "I think I may have to take you up on your offer," before quietly slipping from the room.

_-*_-*-_-*-_-*-_

Hermione smiled as she began to prepare for Molly's impending visit. She had found a large, sunny room filled with lush greenery while exploring the house and ever since Sirius and Remus would join her there for tea every afternoon. Carefully she moved four chairs around the table until she was quite satisfied with the arrangement.

"Ready, Love? Remus should be here with Molly shortly."

Hermione jumped slightly. "I thought I was alone. But yes, I'm nearly ready," she said as she took in his appearance. He does look lovely in a well pressed suit...

Sirius watched as she set a tea service on the table and then laid out the silver. He frowned as he picked up one of the spoons and looked it over. It was very fine silver with a 'B' etched delicately on the end. He had never seen them before. "Where did you find these?" he asked, his curiousity getting the best of him as he knew that they did not come from his family.

"This set belonged to my mother's family. She was a Browne before she married my father," Hermione said softly as she organized the table. Taking a phial from her pocket, she selected a tea cup and poured it's contents in.

"What's that, Love?"

"Just something Professor Snape sent me to help out with our little meeting this afternoon," Hermione told him with a secretive smile. "He said that three or four drops would be plenty... But since I'm hiding it in the tea I decided to double it to an even eight drops, just to be sure. And he did say there would be no ill effects if I were to use slightly more than normal."

Hermione waved her wand and a few large trays laden with sweets appeared on the table. With a smile she took a seat in one of the plush, high backed chairs, her back to the window. Sirius took his normal seat next to her, putting his feet up on the chair across from him.

It wasn't more than a moment before they felt the wards of the house alter slightly to admit someone. Hermione took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. "It's show time..." she muttered as she composed herself.

Hermione stood as Remus and Molly popped into the room. "Welcome to Black Manor," Remus said with a slight smirk that went unnoticed as Hermione embraced the older witch and gave her a sweet smile. "How good to see you again, Mrs. Weasley. Please have a seat," she said as she took her place at the table once again.

Remus was standing in back of the chair that Sirius had his feet propped up on. "My chair, Mate?" Sirius sighed and removed his feet, remembering that he was to behave, if only for the sake of his wife. They both smiled as Molly was forced to take the chair directly across from Hermione, making it difficult for her to avoid the young woman's gaze.

"How do you take your tea, Mrs. Weasley. I'm afraid I can't quite recall," she asked pleasantly as she filled the cup that had the potion in the bottom.

"Two sugars, and please call me Molly, dear," Mrs. Weasley replied as she looked around the room. She would never admit it, but she was rather intimidated by the vision of sheer opulence and affluence that was around her. Even Hermione left her with a slight air of unease. The shy looking girl had been replaced by a witch of commanding presence who practically exuded power, at least in the eyes of Molly Weasley.

"Here you are, Molly, and help yourself to the sweets," Hermione said with a saccharin smile as she handed her the carefully poured cup and saucer. Quickly she distributed tea to Remus and Sirius. Two sugars and a twist of lemon for Remus, and one sugar and a splash of milk for Sirius.

Hermione took a sip of tea, quietly observing to make sure that Molly had begun to drink. After making sure that the older woman had taken a few sips she smiled. "So, Molly. How is everything at home?" she asked politely, both Remus and Sirius watching Hermione with gaurded looks.

"Oh everything's fine dear. Or at least as fine as they can be during these trying times," she said with a smile.

"I do hope Arthur is well, please give him my regards."

"Yes, Arthur is quite well, though a bit tired and worn between work at the Ministry and the Order," Molly said with a slight frown. She wasn't quite sure why she had elaborated as much as she had. Normally she would have prefered to say that every thing is fine and she needn't worry.

Hermione smiled and took a sip of her tea, observing the the little frown.

"How have you been, Hermione?" Mrs. Weasley asked as she looked over at Sirius who was currently helping himself to a large portion of Victoria sponge.

"Oh I've been quite well. Though rather busy. Sirius keeps me rather... active," Hermione said with a naughty looking grin, glancing at her husband before continuing. "And I can only assume that you have heard of my little research breakthrough as well?"

"Oh yes, congratulations to the both of you on that! It's a wonderful achievement," Molly said nodding to Hermione and Remus, seemingly ignoring Sirius.

Remus smiled as he twirled the silver teaspoon, that up until this morning would have burnt him, through his fingers. "We're both amazingly proud of her. Sirius especially," he said with a grin.

Molly seemed to shift uncomfortably at the mention of Sirius' name. Hermione smiled and took advantage of the situation.

"Oh, and speaking of good news and things to be proud of... Sirius and I have found out that I am with child," Hermione said, a genuine smile playing across her lips, her eyes twinkling happily.

'Oh.' was all that Molly was able to get out. As much as she wanted to tell her 'Congratulations, that's wonderful!' she couldn't seem to let the lie escape her lips.

Hermione noted, but ignored the short, unenthused comment for a brief moment, turning to face her husband. "Sirius, Love... Do twins run in your family?"

Sirius jerked his head up from his cup of tea. He looked thoughtful for a moment. "My great uncles, Marius and Pollux were twins. Identical. The only pair our family's ever had... Why?"

"Hmm. Well then, I doubt it's genetic," Hermione mused. "And as to why, Love... I'm suprised you didn't guess just from my query. We're having twins! Fraternal, though," she said with a bright smile.

Sirius looked absolutely stunned for a moment before pulling Hermione over to him and kissing her fiercely on the lips. Molly coughed indignantly at the couple, scowling at Sirius, while Remus was hiding an amused grin behind his tea cup.

Quickly Sirius sat Hermione back in her chair. "Sorry, that happens sometimes," he said with a slight smirk.

"Twins, Molly. And so very soon... Isn't that a suprise?" Hermione asked the older witch, the sweet smile still playing on her lips.

"Not really," Molly said, the answer shocking even herself.

Hermione frowned as she looked at the witch. "Why do you say that?"

"Because of the potion I gave you," she said. After a moment of silence she spoke again. "Why is this happening? What have you done? Why can't I say what I wish?" Her eyes narrowed and she looked sharply at Sirius, suspecting him of being up to one of his tricks.

Hermione smiled slightly and answered, "Because of the potion I gave you."

Molly's eyes narrowed further as her mind worked things out. "Veritaserum! How dare you drug me!"

Hermione shrugged and smiled innocently. "My hand must have slipped. I assure you, it was a complete accident... The dangers of making tea while working on a potions project, I suppose."

All three of the table's occupants were now staring holes into Molly, watching the woman struggle internally to say what she really wanted.

"Now... What potion was this, Molly?" Hermione asked curiously.

"The one I gave you on your wedding night." Molly's voice was soft and angry as she spoke. Hermione had expected a bit more remorse and not so much anger.

"Oh, I remember now," she said. "But that was just a calming draught, wasn't it?"

"Not quite. A calming draught and fertility potion," Molly answered.

Hermione schooled her face into a mask of hurt and bewilderment that could have fooled anyone. "Why would you do that, Molly?" she asked, her voice quiet, a slight shake to it. She couldnt help but think at that moment perhaps she was destined for the theatre if this performance were anything to measure her talents by.

"So that you wouldn't have to sleep with him more than once. You would fulfill the requirements of the marrige law and you wouldn't be forced into a situation that you needn't be. And you certainly didn't need to be put in a position where he could corrupt you," Molly said angrily, quickly forgetting her earlier intimidation, as the men on either side of her did their best not to snap, and to leave this matter to Hermione.

Hermione noted that Molly was about to stand, so she quickly waved her wand beneath the table, placing a sticking charm on her chair. "Now isn't that ironic, Molly? You didn't want me forced into a situation you didn't think that I could handle. I can understand that much. But did it ever occur to you that you were, in effect, simply doing the same thing?

By trying to protect me you took away my choice in the matter. Our choice! The matter of starting a family should have been left to Sirius and I. It should only be our concern when we want children. You should concider yourself lucky that I wasn't hurt when you decided to 'help me' as you did, that there were no side effects! You should concider yourself lucky that Sirius and I want these children and that we are happy to start a family. Sirius is going to be a wonderful father, and I hope to give him more children after these. And most of all, you are lucky that we are not pressing charges. I should think you would be aware that we could turn you in to the Ministry for forcing a substance on someone without their knowledge or concent," Hermione said, her voice quiet and dangerous, her eyes flashing at the woman across from her.

"I should have left you a choice?" Molly all but shouted, her face taking on a red hue. "I thought you more mature than this, Hermione. How can you say that that man is going to be a wonderful father? He is the most irritating, childish, self centered man I have ever had the displeasure to meet!"

Hermione stood from her chair, looking down at the upset witch. Her voice was low and deadly as she spoke. "You do not come into someone's home as a guest and insult your host. You should know better than to use such ill bred speech in our home. And most of all, Molly," she spat the woman's name out with venom. "Most of all, you shouldn't speak of things that you don't know about. Sirius may have his moments. Everyone does. But despite what you think he is anything but childish and self centered! He takes care of me, protects me, and treats me far better than I probably deserve."

Both Remus and Sirius sat wide-eyed, barely breathing as they watched Hermione lecture Molly.

"You seem to think that my husband would corrupt me. I disagree. And I think the only reason you believe this is because you were so terribly set on having me marry your son. Both you and Ronald have a lot of growing up to do. You know, I had a hard time believing that you would do this... Yes, I knew before today, but I had to hear it for myself to truely believe it. You say you thought me more mature than this, and it's funny, because I thought the same of you... Now, as hard as it is to believe, I do forgive you for what you have done. However, I don't think I will ever forget."

Hermione waved her wand, releasing the sticking charm from Molly's chair, the woman practically flying from it as she stood.

"How dare you treat me so disrespectfully. Dosing me with Veritaserum and having the audacity to lecture me! To lecture your elder!"

Hermione looked at the woman nonpulsed. With another little flick she silenced her. "Now Molly, do we have to go over this again so soon? My hand slipped, and no one can prove otherwise. And as for my having the 'audacity' to lecture you... Don't you dare tell me how to act in my own home. Again, you are the guest here. Or rather you were..."

Hermione sighed and turned to look at Remus. "Would you kindly escourt Molly out? I'm feeling a bit too strained at the moment to apparate safely."

"Of course, Angel," he said with a nod and a smile, standing up to take Molly's arm and apparate her out.

With a quick flick before they left, she released the silencing charm, leaving a screaming Molly Weasley to pop out of the house.

Hermione sighed again and sank down in her chair, rubbing her face with her hand. "That didn't go quite how I had expected..."

Sirius turned and looked at her wide-eyed. "Just how did you expect that to go?"

"I don't know. I at least expected her to express a bit of remorse. I can understand her anger at being drugged, but I don't understand her anger at everything else, and I don't think I will for some time..."

"You know," Sirius started quietly. "I'm suprised you defended me the way you did. Did you mean what you said?"

Hermione looked up at him with a small smile. "Every word." She took a deep breath before continuing, trying to calm her nerves. "As hard as this is for you to believe... I love you, Sirius," she said softly, nervousness evident in her voice.

Remus popped back into the room but neither of them noticed. He stood silently as he watched the couple, not wanting to interrupt anything, at least not right this second, anyway.

Sirius blinked a few times in rapid succession, amazed that she would say that. There was that pull in his chest again. "I... I love you too, Hermione. I really do," he started softly. "I have for a while now, I think. And just now, when you were taking Molly to task, I think I fell in love with you all over again," he said with a laugh and his usual grin.

Remus smiled as he watched Sirius finally share his feelings. His pressing Sirius to do so had apparently finally paid off. Coughing gently, he got the couple's attention, letting them know that they were no longer alone as he once again took his seat at the table.

Hermione smiled softly as she poured herself a fresh cup of tea. "So boys, would you care to resume tea? After all, it looks like neither one of you touched much of the sweets," she said with a smile.
