Birthday Surprises

Disclaimer: Not mine, sob! Pity!

angel: Well wouldn't we all like to unwrap Lucius hmm?

ccrawley: Yep, well Lucius is still feeling a bit uncomfortable around Muggles...

Shiloh Darke: Wow, I thought the Asparagus dipped in chocolate would make everyone go yuk or something... it was the wierdest craze I could think of... didn't think someone would relate to it... my mothers was Peppermint aero's and chips from the chippy, for all five of us!

BuckyKattGirl: As long as you let me go first? Yep, love the nickname.

Dee Dee: You're right, what's one baby between friends? Well, you'll see in this next chapter.

Pamela Williams: Thanks. Here's more.

JW: Narcissa isn't a bitch in my story, I like the Black Sisters... I think that there is more to Narcissa than meets the eye. Anyway, yeah I like Herbert to, even if he is a bit wary but then he has every right to be.

Citten: I agree, and it's a way to make the story longer.

cateye: We'll see won't we? As for writing a Remus/Hermione one... sorry, it's one of my least favourite ships. I like Remus with Tonks or one of her aunties... I'm bad I know.

WARNING: This chapter contains something about Hermione's past pre Hogwarts that some may find disturbing, hell even I do!

Please guess the voices!

Birthday Surprises

Hermione snaked her arms under Lucius night robes and slipped them off his shoulder. He did the same for her. He took a moment to touch her belly where his twins were growing. He bent down and kissed the belly tenderly and lovingly, eliciting a sigh from Hermione. He smirked. He dotted feathery light kisses all over her stomach and up towards the valley between her breasts. She hitched her legs over his waist and smiled; her eyes glowing amber. A sure sign that she was turned on.

Lucius carried her back to the bed and laid her gently down on the bed. He regarded her for a minute before he snaked his tongue around one of her hardened nipples. Hermione hissed and clung onto his long hair tightly pushing his face further so that his mouth could devour her breast. He took her breast in his hot mouth; Hermione arched her body up to encourage the action.

Lucius began massaging her other breast with his free hand, whilst the other was preoccupied with her bum. He pushed her vagina closer to his penis. Hermione felt his erection against her naked vagina. It caused her to moan and she dug her nails into Lucius scalp. Lucius growled, as her sharp nails scratched into the sensitive area of his scalp.

He swapped breasts and hands. Hermione lowered her hands onto his broad muscled shoulders and she spread her hands onto his shoulder blades. Lucius thrust inside her; he wanted to take her, but he knew she wasn’t ready yet. Her body was hot and responsive, but he wanted her hotter. He wanted her insides to froth and bubble.

“Lucius,” she hissed. “Lucius, please just take me now!”

“Oh no, my dear. It’s your birthday, I want to give you something special.”

“You’ve already given me twins!” Hermione exclaimed.

Lucius leered down at her. She writhed and twisted under him causing his body to ache and yearn more so than ever before. But he could control it, couldn’t he? She thrust her hips up and raised her head so that she could place hot, demanding kisses on his Adams apple. Her reward was a growl. Hermione smiled; pressing her lips harder on his throat. She clamped her legs around him and rolled him on his back.

She spread her hands flat on the pillow either side of his head. She looked down at him, her hair forming a curtain around them both. Lucius stroked his hands up her back and she thrust down. He grunted and he thrust upwards into her. If she wanted to have the upper hand so be it. She pushed herself down onto him taking in his full length. She felt it swell and rise within her.

She still felt somewhat overwhelmed by her husband’s size, and even more startled that she could produce such a reaction as this within him. The idea of HER, Hermione Jane Granger, making a big bad Death Eater like him shiver with just a touch made her feel powerful, and strong. The feeling swept over her and she placed her nails on his chest and thrust down so hard that her nails dug into his chest and she scratched down his chest drawing blood. Lucius screamed and pushed up into her hard and pumped into her before she could roll off.

They were puffing, panting and sweating, and thrusting and moving so much so that the bed rocked with their movements; the mattress creaked underneath. Lucius was hitting his head against the headboard. His hands gripped her hips as he bucked into her.

They groaned, grunted, hissed, and moaned. Lucius was not the only one that had scratches on his body. They were making love so fiercely that both were on the edges of their sanity. Lucius felt that this could go on forever – until Hermione exploded out his name with an animalistic growl. Lucius joined her in her in her orgasmic bliss.

“Wow,” Hermione said. “Where did that come from?”

“I was hoping you could tell me,” Lucius replied panting. She flopped on top of him and he rolled her onto her back. He stroked her bright glowing cheeks; his eyes were stormy with lust.

“Come on,” Hermione said. “I’ve got to have a bath and get dressed. There are things to do, even with it being my birthday.”

Lucius nodded. Damn his pragmatic wife! He was prepared for round two. But then, she didn’t know his plans. He patted his wife on the bum before he crawled out of bed. She walked into the bathroom and started running her bath pouring in some lavender oils, after that fabulous sex she needed a soothing bath.

Maria, Molly and Narcissa were busy downstairs decorating the mansion.

“Lucius said he’d distract Hermione from all this,” Molly said. “I wonder how?”

“The mother of seven children has to ask THAT question?” Maria asked. “I know I shouldn’t ask this, but is his fabled prowess legend or fallacy?”

Narcissa snorted. “Depends on what you call a legend! I never got the so called Legendary Lucius.”

“Well, I was at the start of his sexuality,” Molly replied, “but even then he was – well – good. Not as good as Arthur.”

Maria laughed. “When I was a teenager I wanted to believe that Wizards were real... it’s a shame I never got some of this Magic Loving!”

Narcissa winked at Molly and both sniggered behind their hands. “It’s not too late you know,” Narcissa said suggestively.

“I would NEVER betray Herbert!” Maria exclaimed staunchly. “Although, if that Severus kissed me under the mistletoe I wouldn’t complain.”

“I must say,” Narcissa began, as she levitated a huge Happy Birthday 21ST banner above the fireplace, “that you have better taste in Wizards than your daughter.”

“I agree,” Molly nodded. She placed a tray of food on the table. “I still can’t see how he wormed his way into Hermione’s heart. She seemed so sensible.”

“Lucius is a true Slytherin,” Narcissa said. “He even made me think once that he loved me.”

“I knew he didn’t love me,” Molly said, “but he still tricked me nonetheless.”

Maria heard these horror stories and paled a bit. These two women knew one side of Lucius, but this seemed like a many faceted man. He was complicated; and he was also a man with a very dark past. Not that she had seen any evidence of that around the Mansion so far.
“He seems to be all right so far,” Maria said. “I can’t believe for one minute that my daughter could be so easily tricked after what she’s been through.”

Molly stopped arranging some fruit on a plate and turned around to face the muggle woman. Narcissa had stopped placing decorations on the wall and looked at Maria.

“What has Hermione been through?” Molly asked.

“You mean she hasn’t told anyone?” Maria asked. “Hmm, well I’m not surprised.”

At that point Arthur, Severus and Remus burst in the room. Harry was at Auror Training, and the rest of the Weasley clan were at work; apart from Ginny; who was in the kitchen helping Dobby, Herbert had come down stairs carrying the armful of presents. The men all heard Maria bring up something about Hermione’s history. Herbert shook his head at Maria. But Maria decided that her friends should know the truth.

“What did Hermione go through before Hogwarts?” Severus asked.

Maria sighed. “She was a lonesome child. Her powers frightened the children away from her, that coupled with the way her brain soaked in information, well she was the least popular girl in the school playground. The only person to take an interest in her was a teacher. He encouraged her, and she adored him.”

“I don’t think -!” Herbert began before Maria fixed him with a baleful glare.

“Their friendship became more and more serious. I didn’t think anything of it at the time. He started buying her presents and she used to say that he used to cuddle her when she was upset, which was quite often. In short she trusted this teacher. One day she came home quiet, and secretive. She was normally excited when she came home from school. This happened to continue for several weeks until one day I got worried about it. I confronted her about it. She didn’t say anything. I put my arm around her and she cringed away from my touch. I knew then that something was wrong. Hermione loved hugs from me.”

Severus had worked it out, and he paled considerably. That poor girl... no wonder she hid behind books.

“W – what did that teacher do?” Remus asked. “What did that teacher do to her?”

“He abused her, sexually. Hermione was forced to do all sorts of disgusting things. As soon as she saw the letter to go to Hogwarts her answer was an unequivocal yes.”

Severus remembered all the ill words he had said to Hermione. Remus narrowed his eyes and he was shaking.

“How could he?” he asked darkly.

“He was sick,” Maria said. “She was only seven at the time. I can’t begin to understand all what she had gone through.” She sighed. “Anyway, it took her a while to trust anyone after that. She shut herself from the world. I feared that she might be one of those child suicides. Hogwarts may have saved her life.”

“What happened to him?” Severus asked.

“I encouraged Hermione to tell the police about him. She agreed shakily that she would play bait to catch him. The police needed proof you see. He was put in prison and as far as I know he was murdered in prison for what he did. There’s even honour amongst thieves you know.”

Narcissa had a hand raised to her mouth. No matter what her husband had done, Lucius had never raped a child. Molly was trying not to choke down a sob; Arthur ran to his wife’s side and comforted her. Remus noticed that Narcissa was shaken to, and he walked up to her and wrapped his arms around the frail blonde woman. Narcissa sighed as she laid her cheek against the sturdy chest of the Werewolf. Oh yes, she could quite happily spend the rest of her life in this mans arms.

Severus had no one to comfort, and no one to comfort him. This information simply shocked him. That girl had gone through enough for some one triple her age. How could she still smile and laugh? How could she still love with what had happened to her? If EVERYONE had this knowledge about Hermione then she surely should be awarded an Order of Merlin First Class.

“So, if you have Hermione’s trust then it probably counts for a lot. That is why I am prepared to give Lucius a chance.”

Severus sighed. He needed to hug someone, no, he needed to hug Hermione; he needed to soothe her. He could not believe that she had never told anyone that. Not even her closest friends. Not even Lucius. Severus had delved into the edges of her mind with Occlumency but none of his explorations bought that in her mind. She had blocked her mind so that no one could see it. He didn’t think that he wanted anyone to see something like that if it was him. He raised his eyes to the ceiling knowing she was up there with Lucius.

“Someone must tell Lucius,” Severus said. “He must know what she went through.”

“It’s up to Hermione to tell him that,” Maria said. “No one else must know.”

~*~*~

Hermione had bathed and dressed. Lucius placed the necklace on her neck and suckled on her neck. Lucius smiled and glanced at her through the reflection of the mirror. She smiled at her husband.

“Don’t we look good together, hmm?” Lucius murmured, picking up a brush so that he could brush her hair. Hermione sat back and let her husband brush her hair. Her eyes closed with relief. She smiled and began humming a song.

Suddenly her thoughts were interrupted by something cold and sinister.

“She senses us, my slippery friend,” she heard a cold voice sneer. She saw a thing that could only be described as a snake on legs with two red eyes. Her heart leapt.

“So, what now my Lord?” a voice she thought she recognised asked.

“Just be patient. She will answer the call soon enough.”

Hermione frowned, her heart leapt into her throat as fear gripped her, and she became encased in its icebox. She opened her eyes startled at the vision. Call? Answer what call?

She wanted to tell Lucius about these dreams but felt that she couldn’t. Somehow she felt that they should be kept secret.

“Right,” Lucius said. “Wait here. I’ll send Dobby to tell you when breakfast is ready.”

“No,” Hermione said. “I’ll come with you!”

Lucius smirked. “No, Hermione, I’ll send for Dobby. Just let me have my own way, please? Indulge me.”

Hermione smiled. “Oh all right.”

Lucius opened the door and blew her a kiss, and she blew him one back. He caught it. She giggled and he closed the door. He breathed a huge sigh of relief as soon as the door was closed. That was close. He ran down the hallway and then down the stairs. He appeared outside the dining room when he heard them talking.

He frowned at what he heard. It was something about Hermione; something that sounded serious. He charmed the door so that he could hear quite clearly what was going on in there. What he heard astounded him. Hermione. HIS Hermione had been raped as a child! He’d kill the bastard that did that to his Hermione. He heard the whole story from the other side of the door. He also heard that someone had beaten him to it. He opened the door and walked in the room when they finished.

“Why didn’t she tell me?” Lucius asked Maria. His eyes were now stormy with anger. “HOW could this have happened?”

Maria and Herbert exchanged glances. “Look, Lucius, if you love her, act like you don’t know. If she hasn’t told anyone then it’s clear that she feels it best that no one knows. Would you have liked her earlier had you known?”

“I’ve always liked her,” Lucius growled. “It’s only now that I’ve come to love her.”

“It happened before any of us knew her,” Arthur said in an effort to control the rage that had suddenly consumed Lucius.

“Know this about me, Arthur, that I may be many things but I have NEVER harmed a child.”

“What about my daughter?” Molly asked.

“And you have no idea that I was actually sleepless for many nights trying to think of many other ways I could have played out that plan!”

“What about the muggle baby at the World Cup Quidditch Match?”

Lucius Malfoy groaned. “I was drunk that night,” he turned to his ex wife who was being held by Remus. Lucius arched an eyebrow in Remus direction. “Narcissa, tell them.”

Narcissa sighed. Perhaps Hermione was right; perhaps they should put aside their childish squabble and start behaving like adults.

“When Lucius was on raids he never harmed the children. Antonin Dolohov was the child harmer. Lucius never did soberly harm children.”

“Except perhaps Draco,” Lucius said. “But that was as a punishment for you.”

Narcissa looked down on the floor. She let go off Remus and walked up to Lucius. She looked at Lucius shyly. She extended her hand.

“Shall we grow up and become friends?” Narcissa asked.

Lucius looked down at his ex wife’s hand. He decided to go one better. He stroked her hair and hugged her.

“Friends,” he said aloud.

Narcissa breathed a sigh of relief. She was afraid that he would blow his top.

~*~*~

Dobby had apparated to Hermione’s room. He told her that breakfast was prepared in the Dining Room. Hermione nodded. She didn’t question Dobby. It was obvious that Lucius had changed the routine for today.

She walked down the stairs and was just about to enter the Dining Room when Lucius sneaked up from behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. He breathed in her scent. He now fully appreciated the woman that had broken the rules to become his wife.

“Lucius,” Hermione sighed. She felt safe in his arms and wished she could stay there for eternity. Lucius clung onto her as if he would hold her forever and not let her go. “Lucius, what’s the matter?”

“I just want to hold you,” he said. “I’ll never let anyone harm you. Ever!”

What brought this on? Hermione asked herself. She shifted in his arms. “What’s the matter? Why did you say that?”

“I know what you went through,” he said. Hermione giggled.

“Of course you do, some of it was your fault,” she felt him stiffen against her.

“I meant about what happened before we met. About four years before we met!”

Hermione frowned and then it dawned on her. Her mother must have told everyone about – she shuddered.

“Lucius,” Hermione said sternly. “Lucius, that happened a long time ago. Don’t worry about it. It didn’t affect me that much, and you have healed the wounds that muggle inflicted on me. You’ve saved me more than you think.”

Lucius sighed against her neck. “I will protect you!”

Hermione closed her eyes and reached her arm back to stroke her husband’s hair.

“Come on, lets have breakfast,” Hermione said. She opened the door.

“SURPRISE!” Six of the seven people yelled. Severus just smiled at her. Oh dear, Hermione thought, they all knew.

~*~*~

The day passed on like a blur. Hermione had several presents to unwrap. Molly kept assuring her that she could come to her for anything. Arthur didn’t ask her any questions regarding the muggle world. Narcissa kept fussing over her and hugging her. Maria and Herbert just smiled and pampered their daughter as much as everyone else would allow them to. Remus kept his hands to himself but he didn’t cringe when Hermione hugged him. The only person that didn’t say anything to her was Severus. Hermione’s heart went out to this man. He was still alone. Eventually she walked up to him.

“Hello, Severus.”

He looked up into her beaming, beautiful face. She knelt down and took his hand in hers.

“Why didn’t you tell anyone?” he asked her quietly. “Why didn’t you slap me in the face, and call me a bastard and tell me EXACTLY how you knew what it was like to be me?”

“What good would it have done?” Hermione asked. “I would still be an interfering know-it-all.”

“No,” Severus said. “You wouldn’t. I was abused as a child, not sexually but physically. I know what it’s like. Hermione,” he said. “Be truthful with me now. Am I worthy of a good Witch?”

Hermione felt a lump rise in her throat, and she squeezed his hand reassuringly.

“Yes,” she whispered. “Yes, you are.”

“If it wasn’t the fact that you were in love with Lucius, sickeningly so, would you have been sickeningly in love with me?”

Hermione blushed. “I did have a crush for you. A small part of me still does. But my heart is for Lucius only.”

Severus sighed. “Lucky bastard.”

Hermione giggled. “I am sure that there’ll be dancing soon, do you want a dance when there is music playing?”

Lucius was watching them from the other side of the room. Narcissa noticed it too. She walked up to Lucius.

“Don’t worry, Lucy, she’s in love with you. She’s just fond of Severus.”

“I know, Cissy, I know.”

Narcissa smiled at Lucius. She sighed and wished that she was married to THIS Lucius. Hermione was a lucky bitch. Remus decided he needed some air. He slipped out of the double French doors and stood on the patio looking out over the sweeping landscape of the Malfoy Grounds.
Narcissa rubbed Lucius arm and joined Remus on the patio.

“How are you, Remus?” Narcissa asked.

“It’s still hard for me to see her with other men,” Remus sighed. “I still love her, Narcissa.”

“I’d hate you if you didn’t,” Narcissa said. “You loved her so much that it’s not easy to cast aside. But, you can’t let it consume you so that you ignore others that may be interested in you.”

Remus snorted. “I am a Werewolf, Narcissa. I was surprised your niece loved me.”

“I know why she did,” Narcissa murmured. She stepped up to Remus and brushed aside some of his floppy brown hair and stroked his cheek. Remus took her hand in his. Her blue eyes darkened as his pupils dilated. He gazed at her for a while. Narcissa rolled her eyes.

“Kiss me, silly!” she exclaimed.

Remus smiled and blushed. Narcissa remembered him as a schoolboy, and there was still some of that schoolboy charm about him. Narcissa giggled. He tilted her chin and leant down, he pressed his lips against hers and she moaned. He gently pulled her lower lips so that he could slide in his tongue inside her mouth. He licked her lips and she parted them willingly. He slipped his tongue inside her warm mouth. His insides exploded with this one kiss. Her stomach flipped and desire burned in her veins.

“About bloody time!” Hermione exclaimed from the doorway. They turned around and found that everyone was watching them. “I’m glad that the sexual tension between you two might actually be relieved. Watching you two the past few weeks was some strange form of Chinese torture.”

The room laughed. Narcissa blushed and Remus laughed. He held Narcissa close to him. He was also glad that something had happened between the two of them. He hoped that he could purge Hermione from his system.

“Oh well,” he sighed. “I suppose this is going to be around the world soon enough.”

“Who cares,” Narcissa said. “I want the whole world to know what a great man Remus J Lupin is!”

Lucius was surprised at the slight pang of jealousy that crept into him; Narcissa was his wife first of all. He then looked at Hermione and shook his head. No, he would have been more jealous had Remus kissed Hermione.

Come on Lucius, he thought. You’d have strung the shabby Werewolf up by his intestines if it had been Hermione. He stepped up to Remus and looked at Narcissa.

“Take care of her, won’t you?” Lucius asked Remus.

“I will,” Remus said holding Narcissa close to him.

Hermione wriggled under Lucius arms, so that she could get a hug. Severus raised his glass towards Remus and quietly slipped out of the room unnoticed. It seemed he was doomed to spend eternity on his own. Wasn’t there anyone for him?

Of course there is Severus, he snapped. Get up off your backside and do something about it!

“Lily and I fought over you!” Severus smirked. He only had one fright; that Lily Thompson was already taken. But there was no harm in trying, was there?

A/N So, tell me, what did you think? Who do you think the voices are? And what do you think of Remus and Narcissa? I love your Reviews, and you guys help feed my muse... I need more food!
