Chapter fifteen
Harry/Draco/Draconia
Chapter fifteen: I do
Remus walked Draco the rest of the way, before placing Draco’s hand in Harry’s. He then joined his wife in the front row of seats that had been set up on the family side.
Draco passed her bouquet to Anyanka who sent her and encouraging smile. Hopping the smile confided all that she needed Draco to know. It evidently had, when Draco returned the smile and winked in return.
There was a soft and very gentle expression upon Harry’s face as he gazed down at Draco. Draco had to stifle a gasp, no one had ever looked at her that way, she practically melted on the spot.
Arthur went through the formalities before asking if there was anyone whom believed Harry and Draco should not be wedded to speak now or forever hold their peace.
To Harry and Draco’s relief no one protested the marriage. Thankfully Pansy Parkinson and Snape had been forbidden to attend out of fear that they would protest to the union.
Seeing it was safe to continue Arthur went on “do you Harry James Potter take Draconia Anastasia Lupin to be your lawfully wedded wife to have and to hold in sickness and health for as long as you both shall live?” Harry replied “I do.”
Arthur then turned to Draco and asked the same “do you Draconia Anastasia Lupin take Harry James Potter to be your lawfully wedded husband to have and to hold in sickness and health for as long as you both shall live?” Draco sighed and replied “I do.”
Arthur smiled and said “now, can I have the rings please?” Ron walked up to his father and placed the rings in the centre of the open book his father was holding.
Arthur took out his wand and with a wave and an incantation in some old wizarding language blessed the rings as a golden light shot out of his wand and surrounded the rings before disappearing.
He then said “Harry take this ring and repeat after me. I Harry James Potter” Harry repeated “I Harry James Potter” Arthur continued “take you Draconia Anastasia Lupin. Take you Anastasia Lupin, to be my lawfully wedded wife, to be my lawfully wedded wife. To have and to hold, to have and to hold, in sickness and health, in sickness and health, until death we do part, until death we do part.”
Harry then took Draco’s smaller white golden band and slipped it onto her left ring finger to rest on top of her engagement ring, before gently squeezed her hand.
Arthur then repeated the process with Draco, who took Harry’s identical but larger and thicker wedding band and repeated after Arthur “I Draconia Anastasia Lupin, I Draconia Anastasia Lupin, take Harry James Potter, take Harry James Potter. To be my lawfully wedded husband, to be my lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, to have and to hold, in sickness and health, in sickness and health. Until death we do part, until death we do part.”
Draco then carefully took Harry’s hand and repeated the same gesture as Harry had bestowed upon her first. She slipped the wedding band down Harry left ring finger and smoothed her hand lovingly over his ring finger before turning back to Arthur.
The gesture that both teens had just shown to wards each other as they exchanged rings was by no mean lost on Arthur, Anyanka and Ron, who were all watching the exchange closely. They smiled knowingly.
Arthur then said “please raise your wands and place the end of the end of your wand against each others.” Harry and Draco did as they were told.
Arthur nodded and went on “now repeat after me with your wands remaining in complete contact. I bind my life, my soul my mind and my magic to you for as long as we both shall live. That my wand shall not be used to cause harm to thee, a vow I solemnly swear not to break.”
Harry and Draco repeated together “I bind my life, my soul, my mind and my magic to you for as long as we both shall live. That my wand shall not be used to cause harm to thee, a vow I solemnly swear not to break.”
Instantly a golden light began to surround the two teens from head to toe, it was especially bright wear the wands were joined.
Harry had only promised to not harm Draco with his wand, but he had not bound his wandless magic to her. If he saw fit to defend him self he could always use wandless magic.
As it was a Potter family legacy and tradition since the very first Potter. It was a necessity for either a Potter male or female to master the art of wandless magic.
Both Harry and James had mastered wandless magic. Acacia was expected to achieve successful wandless mastery by the summer after her graduation.
Arthur then waved his own wand and said a complicated charm and pointed his wand at the two teens, which intensified the golden glow around them, so it was near blinding.
No one had seen such a bright and pure looking glow since James and Lily had said their own vows and joined their wands and lives, along with their minds magic and soles.
When the glow faded Arthur announced “with the powers invested in me as minister of magic I now pronounce you husband and wife.” He turned to Harry and smiled slightly “you may kiss your bride.”
Harry and Draco slowly stepped closer to each other, their faces come closer to each other until they could feel the others warm breath on their slightly parted lips. Then for the first time their lips met in a gentle and loving kiss. Harry gently cup her face with both of his hands, deepening the kiss slightly before separating. They sighed as they rested their foreheads against each others as everyone began to clap and cheer.
They turned to face the crowd that consisted of their family and friends, as they continued to clap. Arthur announced “it’s my greatest pleasure to present to you Mr. Harry James Potter and Mrs. Draconia Anastasia Lupin-Potter.”
Draco beamed at Anyanka as her best friend passed back her bouquet to her. Draco then held onto the offered arm of her husband, before they began to walked down the make shift isle arm in arm for the first time as husband and wife.
