Forced Bonding Chapter 19

First off, OMG. It has been ages since I updated. My life has become so hectic lately I barely remember to do anything. I got engaged and moved and got a new job and it has just been crazy around here. I am so sorry for such a long period between updates. I can't promise that I won't have any more gaps, but do know that I seriously intend to complete this fic, it just might take awhile, and I want to thank any readers that have stuck by me all this time.

On another note, I just want to say that I am aware that I have horrible grammar and that I am not the best of writers. Any constructive reviews are more that welcome and I take everything into consideration, but if you are reviewing just to tell me you hate the fic, I have to ask why. When I don't like a story, I just don't read it, let alone bother to review. So, flames will be ignored. Enjoy the story everyone.

"Hermione, it's not something I want to do. I want to talk to him first, of course, but if he really did this on purpose then I can't risk him killing Draco or myself if he decides he wants our power. It's too dangerous!" said Harry.

Hermione looked relieved but Harry could tell she wasn't completely convinced. She knew him well enough to know that he could very well decide to barge into the Headmasters office throwing hexes left and right before they go to the bottom of this.

"I'm calling Severus. He needs to know about this. Maybe he has some ideas of what we should do." Said Narcissa.

"Good idea mother. Maybe he can whip up a poison to kill that greedy old bastard!" said Draco, his voice tight with anger.

Narcissa just looked at her son before crossing the room to the fire place. They saw Snape's head appear in the fire, and after a few quiet words from Narcissa, he stepped through to Grimmauld Place with an unreadable look on his face. He immedietly went to Hermione and addressed her.

"Miss Granger, would you please give me all your research on the bonding so that I may go over it? Also, I trust that you documented all your resources so I know where you found it all?"

"Of course Sir. It's all right here." Replied Hermione, quickly handing it all over to Professor Snape.

He nodded curtly to her, the closest anyone really gets to a thank you from him, before telling everyone that he would be in the study looking over the research.

"I will be back to discuss the situation after I have read everything."

He then swished his robes in typical Snape fashion before striding out the door.

"So what? Were supposed to just sit here and hope Dumbledore doesn't try and suck us dry? I say we go and take him out first!" Draco said, his voice so full of anger that Harry barely recognized it as Draco's.

"Draco, do you really want to kill the Headmaster before we find out the truth? What if he is innocent? What if he had no idea of this part of the ritual? You would be killing an innocent man! Do you really want that on your shoulders? Do you want to spend the rest of your life in Azkaban, away from Harry where you would both die from being apart?"
Hermione was right up in Draco's face, her hands on his shoulder's, trying to make him see reason. Something she said made it into his brain, because he backed away, looking a bit calmer.

"Fine Granger, I'll wait and see what Severus finds out, but if it turns out that Old Dumble knew about all of this, and didn't tell us, there will be hell to pay!"

Hermione and Harry both drew deep breaths of relief. Harry felt the same as Draco, but he just wanted to err on the side of caution for once. He may not trust Dumbledore, or even like him very much, but he didn't want anymore blood on his hands, or Draco's either for that matter.

"Well, what do we do until then? I can't just sit here waiting, doing nothing." Said Harry.

"Well, we could always decorate some more. I've an idea for the spot on the wall where Mrs. Black used to be." Said Hermione.

"What's that dear?" asked Narcissa. She loved to decorate, and she also wanted to keep her son's mind off the current crisis. She also wanted to make her only child's home wonderful, not this dreary, moldy old house.

"Well, there's a portrait of Sirius in the attic. Wouldn't it be fitting to put Sirius in the place where his hateful old mum used to be?"

I know its short, but I wasn't sure about the Sirius portrait idea?? Do you think its too cheesy?? I am going to let you decide whether to put it in there or not. Majority rules!
