Author’s Note: Thanks to all the reviewers, with
regards the 3 nights left I meant that they are three nights left until
the first night of ful full moon. Sorry if there was any confusion
there. With regards to a certain reviewer who criticized me on my
writing while only on chapter 7, I’ve come a long way in making sure
that there aren’t too many errors and I say again, if you see them,
point them out! Canadian I am so your spelling might be a different way
so please try to keep this in mind. Ummm, I know that the story might
seem farfetched to some, but as I said, if you live in my world this is
what can happen hence the story seems plausible to me! Do you think that
I’m trying to get this story published or something? No it’s for the
enjoyment of fellow Snape/Hermione shippers so if you do not like the
way I write or do not like the story itself DON’T CONTINUE READING.
Simple right? Enough rantings, oh wait sorry about the little comments,
I promise that they will stop. O.O

Hermione breathed in a deep breath and tried to concentrate on
the professor. Arithmancy was one of her favourite subjects and she
couldn’t let her mark in this class fall just because she was feeling
under the weather. Her heart wasn’t in it she knew, the feeling of
betrayal went deep and Hermione knew that Severus had scarred her.
Another sigh followed by a whispered prayer as her stomach threatened to
rebel made Hermione bend over her paper. She had to make it through the
day; she’d missed too many classes as it was.

Severus mumbled under his breath as he finished grading the
papers of first year students. His third period was empty which meant
that his classroom was empty and for that Severus was glad, he still had
to deliver the monkshood potion to Remus and make sure that Remus made
sure that Hermione got it too. Severus stifled a curse as he thought of
Hermione. She hadn’t looked at him at all. She had kept her head bent
and when she had had to hand in her finished product and parchment she
had gotten Longbottom to hand it in for her. And then if Severus
hadn’t been feeling a little guilty at that Draco had been whispering
fiercely to Crabbe and Goyle and that did not bode well for Hermione.
The only thing Severus could think of was to ask the teacher’s to make
sure Hermione was never left alone with Malfoy. Breath hissed out
between his teeth. He couldn’t do that without making himself seem if
he was concerned about Hermione. He had to face it; he had fallen like a
house of cards when he’d tried to resist Hermiones’ advances. That
was totally unusual for him and the sad thing was Severus didn’t care.
Too long he had been playing spy and had devoted his life to saving
other peoples’ lives. Well now he’d had a chance of having a life
with a gorgeous witch who had the brains to match only to come to his
senses. Damn common sense. If Hermione wasn’t a werewolf, if she
hadn’t attempted to kill herself, there were too many ifs. Severus
sighed and dropped his quill down and went in search of Remus.

Remus walked down the path to Hagrids’ cottage slowly for the
path wasn’t the safest. When he had come earlier Hagrid had said
he’d needed a few more hours and so Remus had left it at that. Hagrid
had been curious but hadn’t asked too many questions and for that
Remus was thankful. He’d been trying to keep Hermiones’ secret too,
but with getting the chains, ones that could restrain a werewolf he’d
HAD to ask Hagrid. Remus sighed and took in a deep breath and frowned,
noting the smell of other wolves. They were bold coming onto Hogwart’s
property but maybe Hagrid was planning a class involving wolves? Remus
shrugged, he was in no danger and since students weren’t allowed into
the dark forest there shouldn’t be a problem.

Remus knocked on the door and was rewarded when Hagrid opened the
door immediately.

“Oh there ye be Professor, I just finished them and they are a
beaut, truth be told. I hope that you like them, they were made to your
requirements.”

Remus looked to where a set of chains were on the floor near the
back door. Remus felt as if he himself had a set of chains on him right
now. These were to be Hermiones’, the chains meant to keep her from
harming others, bhat hat they would do to her soul that was what Remus
was worried about. He knew that it had to be done, even with taking the
potion there was always a slight chance it it might not work, someone
might investigate. Endless possibilities ran through Remus mind as he
used his wand and transfigured them into a ball of string, something
much lighter that made carrying it to the Whomping Willow’s secret
entrance much easier. Remus thanked Ha and and walked out, walking past
the large paddock where a strange animal was standing up against it,
looking straight at Remus, showing no fear. Remus eyed it but continued
on, he had enough problems on his plate without wondering why it had no
fear of him.

Hermione walked towards Transfiguration her heart sinking, as she
would come face to face with her head of house who had probably been
told of her changed circumstances. Her steps dragged and she knew that
she should appear to be her usual self but that was getting hard to do.
She smiled brightly noticing that Ron and Harry were waiting for her in
front of the classroom. Ron and Harry had apparently made up their
differences and Hermione gave a mental shrug and walked in, quickly
flanked by the two boys.

Minerva raised an eyebrow as she took in how protective the two
boys were of their fellow Gryffindor. Albus had told her that she was
supposed to tell Hermione of her changed circumstances, no more
wandering free. As to why Hermione had lost this privilege she didn’t
know and that bugged Minerva. Blame it on the fact that her animal form
she was a cat and therefore curious like one. But questioning Hermione
would have to wait until later, and with that Minerva cleared her throat
and began the lesson.

Hermione vainly tried to focus on McGonagall’s instructions but
her mind was fuzzy and full of clouds. Dizziness made Hermione sit as
still as she could and her upset stomach made sure she didn’t make any
sudden movements. Hermione smiled wanly as Harry nudged her when she
looked at the board.

 &n&nbs
“Are you okay?” Harry asked Hermione quietly, not liking how
pale she was. In fact there was something…different about her. Harry
had noticed it a little before but in the past few days he had really
noticed. She was different and Harry knew that he couldn’t just ch i it up as grief for her parents. Maybe a failed relationship? Harry
dismissed that idea and smiled at Hermione, his eye catching Rons’ as
the reiredired boy noticed Hermione’s changed pallor.

“Just fine Harry. We need to be quiet though.” Hermione
whispered back and turned her attention back to the front of the class.

Remus walked the path up to the shrieking shack and repressed the
shudder that ran through him. This was not a pleasant place and having
to be chained up here made it even less pleasant. Remus glanced down at
the ball of yarn in his hand and with a sigh transfigured it back into
the set of chains. He looked around the room, trying to judge the
difference in distance between his chains and where to place hers. He
found a spot and set to work by enforcing the beam and then driving the
spike that would keep the chains in place into the reinforced beam.

He was sweating by the time this was done, but it was done and
that was all Remus cared about. He hoped that Snape would give him the
potion soon, he would make sure it was placed here in ready for the
coming nights.
