Chapter 19
hen hen the story first hit the Quibbler, Minister Fudge was taken from office. Acting minister Albus Dumbledore, as his first act in office, awarded the order of Merlin First Class to Severus Snape and Harry Potter. In his interview with the Quibbler, Severus Snape asked the wizarding world to stand together and vote for his choice for the new minister, Arthur Weasley. The article had shocked Harry and the Weasleys, but in a landslide victory, Arthur was voted into the office of minister of magic.
Harry, Ron and Hermione took their N.E.W.T.s and waited for the last week of school. Ginny had been keeping her weekly appointments with Madam Pomfrey, and was expected to deliver in the beginning of October. Dumbledore had arranged for Ginny to have private tutors until after the baby had been born. Harry had been spending his weekends searching Hogsmeade for a suitable place for them to stay until Ginny had graduated.
“Come on, Harry! We’ve spent the past three weekends walking through Hogsmeade,” Ron complained. “Maybe if you tell us what you’re looking for, we can help.”
Harryned ned toward his best friends, “Charlie is leaving the dragon reservation in one week, and we still don’t have anywhere to live,” he explained. “Your mum has offered us a room at the burrow, but we don’t want to take up the space.”
Ron grimaced, “You know that mum would love to have the both of you at the house.”
“It’s not just going to be us, we want to be close to Hogwarts for when the baby comes,” he explained.
“Trust me, Harry. Mum wants nothing more than to have you, Charlie and the baby stay at the burrow. She has been looking forward to the day that she would be a grandmother,” Ron said.
Hermione put her arm around each of their shoulders, “Why don’t you and Charlie sit down with Molly and Arthur and talk about it. I’m sure that they will be delighted to talk to you and Charlie about your plans. Besides, you have to start planning the wedding.”
Harry shook his head, “We’ve left the planning to her,” he said. “We really don’t care about all of the details, and Charlie said that his mum would make sure that it was perfect.”
“Floo Molly and Charlie, I’m sure that if you talk out your worries everything will be fine,” Hermione told him.

The last week of school passed quickly for the three graduates, and with the final day of school came the graduation. Harry didn’t have family to invite, but he sent out invitations to Remus Lupin and Tonks. He was sure that his parent’s best friend would want to be there.
As they walked into the Great Hall, he searched the crowd for familiar faces. He saw a large group of Weasley hair and smiled to himself. He searched the group for Charlie, giving him a small wave when he found him. Just past the Weasley family were the faces that he was searching for, Remus and Tonks. They were sitting with their heads together, and a large brightly wrapped package lying across both of their knees. They spotted him walking toward the front of the hall and they both grinned and waved at him.
The ceremony went quickly, with the teachers smiling and congratulating the newest witches and wizards to graduate from Hogwarts. As Harry was handed his certificate, the entire hall stood and applauded. Harry blushed and went to walk over to his adopted family. Professor Dumbledore stopped him and whispered in his ear.
Harry, with a look of shock on his face, walked over to Charlie. “What’s wrong, Harry?” Charlie asked.
Harry shook his head and hugged the red haired man, “Professor Dumbledore wants the two of us to teach Defense against the dark arts,” he answered.
Charlie smiled and pulled Harry closer, “I guess that we have some things to think about,” he answered. “I don’t have a job right now, and neither do you. Teaching here would give us more freedom and time with the baby.”
Harry smiled, “He would probably let Ginny stay in our quarters until after the baby is born. And we could spend next year deciding what we want to do with the rest of our lives,” he stated.
“Why don’t we go and accept the job for a year, we can decide about the rest of our lives later,” Charlie said. He pulled Harry up toward the Headmaster.

On June 30th, Charlie and Harry were married and bonded in wizarding tradition. The guests included Albus Dumbledore, Alastor ‘Mad-eye’ Moody, a contingent from the dragon reserve in Romania, Remus Lupin, Rubeus Hagrid, Nymphadora Tonks, and the entire Weasley family. Fred and George Weasley provided them with a large fireworks display, Ron Weasley and Nymphadora Tonks stood up foe twe two wizards. The party that followed was reported in all of the papers.
Harry and Charlie spent two weeks in the wizarding community in the Bahamas.

October came, and with it the birth of Arthur James Potter-Weasley. Right after the birth, Madam Pomfrey informed the entire Weasley clan that Charlie was the mother of the little Arthur. Harry and Charlie were in shock, they were parents to a beautiful red haired, green eyed baby boy.
Molly was in full grandmother mode, fussing over Ginny, Harry, Charlie and little Arthur. Ginny was ecstatic, Madam Pomfrey had cast a charm that Professor Flitwick had developed. It had transferred the pain to the biological parents and allowed Ginny to have a completely painless birth. Charlie had the worst of it, but had happily endured the pain. They had sat one on each side, talking to Ginny the entire time. When the baby was born, the entire family had rushed into the hospital wing.
The Headmaster announced the birth to the entire school. Gifts from the entire wizarding world came for the new addition. The birth of the Minister of Magic’s first grandchild was celebrated through out the wizarding community.
