Epilogue
Sixty years later…
Harry was walking with his grandson through Diagon Alley. He was getting him ready for Hogwarts. He could hardly believe he had a grandson ready to go to school! His father was ecstatic. Ginny had wanted to be at Diagon Alley for it, but the warmer weather of Spain was best for her at the moment. Sirius kept racing ahead of him, looking into all the different shops as he went. At the apothecary he stopped dead in his tracks as a happy, healthy young woman stepped out. Her curled hair was pulled back into a loose bun and her chocolate brown eyes were alight with humor. It was Hermione!
Harry caught up with Sirius as the woman asked, “So going to your first year at Hogwarts are you?”
“Yes, ma’am,” he said with a nod of his ginger head.
“Do you have your caldron yet?” she inquired.
“No, I can’t get a new one,” he muttered. “Pop said I have to use the one my cousin gave me.”
“Oh, that isn’t right,” she murmured. “Everyone should have a caldron all their own. Hold on—Severus! Darling, there’s a young man out here in need of a caldron for his first year at Hogwarts!”
A tall dark haired man came over causing Sirius to backup straight into his grandfather. Severus Snape looked healthier than he had the last time Harry had seen him and happier as well. Though truth be told there wasn’t a smile on his face so much as an air of contentment about the man that hadn’t been there before.
“No need to be scared,” the woman murmured, taking the caldron from the man and handing it over to Sirius. “It’s a gift.” She then looked into Harry’s eyes. “How are you?”
“Hermione…”
“Your grandson has the look of you when you were that age,” she replied and looked down to Sirius. “But he most definitely has Ginny’s hair.” Her smile grew. “Please tell her hello for me?” She leaned against the man standing there.
“Come along, my sweet,” Severus murmured to her. “We have work to finish.”
“It was good to see you again, Harry,” she said. “Have a happy life.”
The two Potters began to walk away, but Sirius stopped and looked back in time to see Hermione smiling at him and vanish with a wave of her hand.

Thank you one and all! This story was a blast for me to write. I'm already contemplating a companion piece that would tell the story behind it all in full. You would get to be a part of things Harry never knew! Like I said, still at work with that one. Sorry about the errors. I'm still learning. Thanks for your patience. As per usual, READ AND REVIEW!!
