Champion of Angel’s: Chapter 17


Damis Kael Snape was walking through the hall of the Academy thinking about the things that had happened after his change and not once had he fallen ill. To him Kiba had been his salvation, she had taken him in to protect him and then found a way to save him without taking anymore of that antidote.


He was just like any normal kid now if you count the fangs, blood cravings as normal. Which he did, so all was good in his world. And his birthday had been great with lots of fun and presents. He had never seen so many gifts that were just for him. The only dark spot had been Lupin, ever since he had run into the man. Lupin had watched him and at times followed him, as if he was some puzzle. Until his new father and sister jump, his case and made the man, leave him alone. That had been two weeks of hell for him.


Now his fun was ending as September rolled closer. He remembered the conversation with his sister like it was yesterday. That he wasn’t going back to Hogwarts, not that he wanted to. He was content to stay at Tashio Academy and go to school. That is if Kiba decided to stay, she had been hinting about going to Japan and Egypt for some of his training. And Demis was hoping that she would take him to those places. For he hadn’t been anywhere but Britain, Scotland, Tashio Academy. The time he spent in Japan earlier in the summer had been brilliant and he really wanted to go back.


As Demis thoughts trailed off thinking of new magic and places, not paying attention to his surroundings, which caused him to run into a firm body. A body and scent he did not recognize. And when arms of the person wrapped around him, he did the only thing he could. He screamed.


Sirius Black had just arrived at Tashio by the port key Moony had sent him and was shocked as the little boy ran right into him. This was the one that Moony had growled and snarled about. Not thinking he but his arms around the boy. And was even more shocked when said boy screamed out.

“DEMIS!” yelled Alex and Kiba as the two ran toward the boy and the stranger that still had his arms around him.

Once the two had made it to Demis and Sirius. Alex pulled Sirius Blacks arms away from his son. As Kiba wrapped Demis in her arms. Only then did he stop screaming.

SISTER!, Demis thought as he smelled cinnamon and lavender. Wrapping himself around her like a child. While he sniffed burying his nose in her neck, before latching his fangs into her neck. Taking just enough to calm his nerves, before retreating.


“Who are you? And why did you not let my son go at the first sign of distress?” Alex’s voice came cold and angry as he held the intruders arms.


“Sirius Black. Remus Lupin sent me a port key to come here. As for the boy, maybe you should teach him to pay more attention to his surroundings. He ran into me not the other way around.” Sirius snarled as he tried to release himself from Alex’s grip.


“He is just a child. If you would have released him as soon as he screamed you wouldn’t be in the position you’re in now.” Snarled Alex as he glanced at his two oldest children, making sure they were well.


“Father, I’m taking Demis back to our rooms. I’m sure you can take the trash out on your own.” Kiba smirked as she walked away with Demis cradled in her arms.

As Sirius Black bristled at being called trash. Sirius couldn’t believe the two would side with that spoiled child over an adult. Now he was starting to believe all the things Moony had said about the boy.


“Well Mr. Black follow me to your Mr. Lupin.” Alex smirked as he led the way toward the Staff room. Not once looking back to see if the man was following him.

Kiba & Demis’s Quarters



Kiba and Demis had finally arrived back in their shared quarters. As the door shut, Kiba placed her brother on his own two feet. “What was that back there? Did you know who that man was Demis?”


“I was thinking about all the fun I had this summer and my party and I didn’t watch where I was going. Then I hit a hard chest and was about to apologize when a strange scent hit my nose and I screamed. But I didn’t know who it was until he said his name. I’m sorry.” Demis looked up at his sister with tears; he didn’t want her angry with him. He knew he should have paid closer attention instead of being off in his own world.


“Don’t cry little brother, I’m not angry. When I felt your distress and seen that man holding you, I wanted to kill him. No one is allowed to touch you without your permission Demis. As for not paying attention, you still young and are still getting used to your change.” Kiba stated with a smile as she hugged her brother tightly.

“Now, I was thinking that when classes start we would head to Japan. Maybe spend sometime with Uncle Fluffy, Toshi and maybe get a chance to see Uncle Yasha and whichever woman his with at the time. What do you think?”




Demis beamed, he was right they were going away. And back to Japan and visit his godfather and Toshi. Now Toshi was something else, Demis felt this pull toward the Inu but had no idea what it meant. He wondered if Toshi could explain it to him.


“From your look, I take that as a yes.” Kiba smirked and with Demis’s yell of ’yes’, she told him that he needed to start packing, as they would leave tomorrow or the next day.


“What about you, don’t you need to pack?” Demis looked at her in curiosity.

“No, I’m all packed little brother. The only thing missing for this trip is your bag and yourself. So if you want to get to bed on time tonight you better start packing.” Kiba laughed as she shadow walked out of the room.


Demis’s jaw dropped before he realized he needed to hurry and pack. It was close to nine and he knew that his bedtime was ten and he still needed a bath and a snack. With that, he ran quickly into his room and started to throw his new clothes, books, and essentials in his three-compartment bag as well as most of his new gifts from his birthday. They were going with him; there was no way he was leaving his new things behind.

Staff Room


“Alex what caused Demis’s distress? You know that he is still …” Selena Tashio exclaimed as Alex walked into the room again. Only to trail off with the scent and sight of the newcomer.


“It seems Selena that Mr. Black was invited here by Mr. Lupin. As for Demis’s distress well let’s just say he ran into someone that didn’t smell right.” Alex smirks as he continued into the room, only to sit down beside his mate and newborn son.


“I see, well Mr. Black welcome to Tashio. I’m sorry you did not have someone to meet you at the door. But as you are aware last night was the full moon and your friend is still in the infirmary.” Selena Tashio stated with confusion, she never like newcomers especially without prior knowledge.


“It’s fine, I wasn’t going to be here until tomorrow but Remus’s last letter sounded urgent. So I took off earlier than planned.” Sirius stated as he tried to mask his contempt of some of the Dark Creatures in the room.


“He doesn’t like some of us. Tell me Mr. Black which of us disturbs you so? Is it the Inu-Youkai or ….” Kayden chuckled coldly as he continued to feed his son and heir.

“I don’t even know any of you. So I think I will wait to pass judgment.” Sirius stated with equal coldness.


Lucas roared in laughter causing everyone to look at him in confusion. They were not sure if it was the man’s statement or the fact that Kiba was lurking in the shadows.


{Lucas that is enough.} Sesshomaru Tashio barked in Inu at his youngest son, as he walked into the room.

Causing Lucas to quickly become silent before bowing his head in submission. Sirius on the other hand could not believe what he was seeing. It was Lord Tashio himself, but what confused him was why the young Demon listened to this human. And what was with the barking.


“Sesshomaru did you just come from a business meeting?” Alex asked with a raised brow. And when Sesshomaru looked at him in confusion, Alex made a gesture with his hand.


Sighing Sesshomaru released his human features allowing his demon ones to become dominate. Causing the ones in the room to gasp except Sirius as he became paler.

“What is everyone’s problem?” Snarled Sesshomaru as he pulled his mate from her chair, before sitting down with her in his lap.


“You have three tails Sesshomaru.” Selena exclaimed in excitement as she leaned inward to examine the new appendage.


Sesshomaru just smirked not saying a word. All in the room with the exception of the mortal wizard knew that he had another power boast; he was after all over one thousand years old.


“Congratulations, my friend.” Alex remarked with a slight bow, it was not everyday that one sees and three tail Inu.


“Thank you my friend. Kiba come out of the shadows dear.” Sesshomaru exclaimed as he narrowed his eyes toward the left wall.


“Uncle why did you have to spoil my observations?” Kiba whispered as the shadows dispersed quickly.

“What the hell. How did you do that?” Sirius Black exclaimed as he watched the girl.


“Magic, Mr. Black a type of magic that you could never understand.” Kiba stated coldly as she walked over to Sesshomaru to examine the new tail as well.



“Congrates Uncle on your power boost.” Kiba whispered into Sesshomaru’s ear before kissing his cheek.


Sesshomaru nodded sharply at her comment before whispering to her. “When are you and Demis coming to Tokyo? I have an assignment for you.”

Everyone in hearing distance groaned while Kiba just answered with a smirk. Knowing that her Uncle would know that she would be available with in the next few days.


“Lucas could you please escort Mr. Black to the infirmary.” Selena stated with a small smile.


“Of course mother, this way Mr. Black.” Lucas remarked as he walked toward the door only stopping for a moment to make sure the man followed.


“Another mortal that has a stick up his ass. Demis is packing for our trip father, just to let you know. Someone tell me why we didn’t know about the wizard coming. That is just poor form and just so everyone knows he is not to be trusted.” Kiba snarled before shadow walking back out of the room.


“Well now what?” Alex smirked as he took his son away from Kayden so the boy could feed from him a bit. Letting just enough blood flow for the infant.


“If Kiba doesn’t trust him then that’s good enough for me.” Sesshomaru stated as he closed his eyes enjoying the attention his mate was paying to his new tail.



He did not see the others in the room agreeing with him. But they did none of them wanted to deal with the wizard at all. Now it seems as though they had no choice. But what Alex and Sesshomaru wanted to know was why the mortal wizard did not seem to like Dark Beings when his friend was one as well.

Infirmary

Lucas escorted Sirius Black into the room quickly before disappearing back out of the room. Sirius looked around searching for Remus when he noticed the door to a private room was opened slightly.

Going into the room, he noticed that it contained the person he was looking for. And Moony was awake to boot. “Hey Moony long time no see.”


“Padfoot, you’re early.” Remus stated with calmness.


“Yeah, thought you may need me after your last letter. So here I am. And let me tell you I had no idea there were so many Dark Creature’s running around. Anyway that boy you were talking about ran right into me after my port key dumped me at the entrance.”


“Really, did he say anything?” Remus asked with curiosity.


“No he screamed when I wrapped my arms around him to keep him from falling.” Sirius huffed before hugging his friend.


“There is something familiar with that boy Padfoot. I just haven’t figured it out yet. Hopefully I can during the school year since I’m sure he will be attending here.” Remus remarked as he returned the hug.


“Huh, well I think his is a little spoiled brat. I mean when he screamed his father and sister came running. And the father pulled me away from the boy while the sister held him. That damned brat had the audacity to wrap around the girl like he was her child.” Sirius growled like the Animagus he was.


“Yes he does that a lot. You’ll probably see that more often than not. I figure the reason I haven’t seen him before this year is that he is so young. And from what I’ve seen and encountered with him, is that he is coddled something awful. I wonder what’s going to happen if they don’t break from the habit.”

“Nothing good Moony old pal. But I’m not here to talk about a spoiled child. You mentioned something in your letter about wanting to talk to me about something. Well here I am so talk.” Sirius laughed as he moved to sit on the end of the bed.

Remus wondered if this was a good time to talk to Sirius. But from the look on the mans face it appeared so. Deciding to just come out of say it, he took a deep breath and exclaimed. “Sirius we’ve been friends for a long time. And you have stood beside me through everything. What I’m trying to say is I’ve been wanting to tell you that…. Damn it I’m not good at this, Padfoot you’re my mate.”

“Moony what’s that got to do with anything. We have always been mates.” Sirius stated looking at Remus as if he had lost his mind.


“No not like that Sirius. Moony has chosen you for his mate.” Remus stated bluntly, as he felt a chill go down his spine.


Sirius Black did something he had never done. He fainted.

“Great, just great.” Remus sighed as he laid back down to wait for Sirius to wake up. Knowing it was going to be a long night when he did.
