Chapter 18:the epilogue :(

CHAPTER EIGHTEEN: Epilogue
Christmas Day-

“I think you missed one.” Severus said to Hermione as he took yet another Christmas bow away from Sebastian as he attempted to eat it.

“Where?”

“There, in the tree itself.” He pointed to the bright red box perched on a branch near the top. Hermione pulled it down and read her name printed on the tag.

“What is this?” She asked as she looked over the box.

“Open it.” He said as Sebastian chewed on his finger. Hermione opened the box and gasped. Inside, pillowed on red velvet, lay a diamond engagement ring.

“Marry me?” He asked, sitting there with their son on his lap as he looked up at her. As she stared down at her men there was no way she could refuse.

“Of course I will.”

June 20-

Severus and Hermione stood hand in hand and stared out at the sea of people who had come to see them joined. Harry and Ron had walked her down the aisle and given her away, while Ginny served as her maid of honor, and Lucius as best man. From where they stood they could see Sebastian, sitting on Minerva’s lap, Draco was sitting in front of them and once in a while you could see the young man’s head snap back as the baby yanked on his hair.
As the wedding party passed, Sebastian reached up for Lucius who swept the little boy into his arms and handed him the prize he sought. Sebastian happily chewed on the snake head of his walking stick as he carried the boy down the aisle to exit the chapel.

October 23 ( 6 years later)

“There will be no foowish wan waving or silwy in-can-in-a-shins in dis cwass!” Severus stood in is office doorway and watched as his three year old daughter mimicked him before his class. She stood there, in her soft pink robes, with her arms crossed over her chest, and her long black curls falling into her face as she glowered out at the amused seventh year students who had come in on the weekend for tutoring.

“Misser Dugwas…can u tell me where Daddy hid my wowipop?” She asked, glaring at the boy who fought back the smile on his face.

“No, I’m terrible sorry Ms. Snape, but I have no idea where your father hid your candy.” The students and staff had gotten used to Hermione and the children being at the school on weekends, and thought nothing of little Sara impersonating her father in front of the class. Behind him he could hear Hermione instructing six year old Sebastian as they mixed bubble potion with his little chemistry set. He still looked exactly like Severus, though his temperament was Hermione’s. The child was so intelligent it frightened him at times.

Sara on the other hand was a contradiction. The child was stunningly beautiful with her long, silky black curls and whiskey colored eyes. She looked sweet and perfect like a little porcelain doll, but she was her father’s daughter in every way. Shrewd, snarky and already she showed the makings of a very powerful little witch. She stomped to Severus’s desk and climbed onto the stool, her little mary janes slipping slightly on the rungs as she scrambled onto his desk, digging through his papers and jars looking for the candy he had taken from her earlier.

“May I ask why you are destroying my desk?” Severus asked as he strolled across the room. His daughter didn’t even try to look repentant as she stood on his desk so she could look him in the eye.

“You took my candy Daddy.” She snapped, hands on her hips.

“Yes I did, because you didn’t finish your lunch.” He reached for his little girl, kissing her cheek before setting her on the floor. “Run along to Mummy now Sara, I need to see to the students.”

He watched her walk halfway across the room and stop when she heard one of the student giggle and mention how cute the little Snape was.

“Ten points fwom Wavencwaw….fow cheek.” She snapped as she turned on her heel and stomped into her father’s office, her little pink robes billowing behind her.

A/N: I should make the comment that I am not one for writing 40 chapter fan fics, Im sorry, but with my fan fics I like to keep them short and sweet. As for the writing I do for my editor, well she insists that the manuscripts contain no fewer than 30 chapters....so you now understand why I love the fan fics so much, no pressure and no demands, just fun for the sake of having fun....I hope you enjoyed the Healing. It's on to the next sordid tale......:)
