Look at Hermione

Hermione smiled at the sexy wizard who stood next to her holding her hand. If anyone had ever told Hermione that she would be standing in a reception line holding the hand of Neville Longbottom she would have thought they had lost their minds. He leaned down and kissed her cheek gently and smiled. “Did I tell you how beautiful you look this evening, Hermione?” he whispered seductively in her ear.

Blushing, she smiled at him. “Maybe once or twice, but a witch can never hear it to often,” she said flirtatiously.

“I could spend the rest of my life looking at your beautiful face and never tire of telling you it. You are amazing, Hermione Granger.”

“You’ve turned out pretty amazing yourself, Neville.”

“I never thought I would see the day that I would stand holding hands with Hermione Granger. Do you know how many years I laid in my bed at night thinking of you? I never in my wildest dreams imagined that someone as sexy and accomplished as you would ever consent to spend anytime with a man like me.”

“Neville, you don’t give yourself enough credit. You are very sexy. You could have knocked me over with a feather when I saw you in the bookstore. You have definitely changed in the past five years. Not just in your appearance either. You used to be so awkward and unsure of yourself. Now you are graceful and confident. How did that happened?” she asked with a small laugh.

“Actually, it was Harry that helped me understand and find the man who I was meant to be. I spent most of my childhood smothered by my grandmother to the point of when I finally came to Hogwarts I was so socially retarded that I couldn’t possibly hope to fit in. Harry helped me to start believing in myself during fifth year. I learned that I could cast spells; I learned that I could defend my friends and myself. Each year after until we graduated I learned more and more. I was no longer afraid in any of my classes. I used to think I was one step above a squib. I eventually figured out that my magic became more and more powerful with the confidence I began to feel in myself. I knew that I believed in myself I could accomplish anything. At the final battle when I killed Bellatrix Lestrange, I felt vindicated. I finally felt worth to be a Longbottom. I finally believed that I had lived up to my parents sacrifice.”

“Oh Neville! You were always worthy!” she cried. “You were one of the nicest boys in Hogwarts! You were loyal and you were brave! Remember in first year how you stood up to us when we tried to sneak out of the common room?”

Neville laughed. “And then you hexed me!”

Hermione blushed. “That’s not the point, you were still brave enough to stand up to us! And what about when you snuck into Professor Snapes private store room and stole the Gillyweed for Harry during the Tri-Wizard tournament? You were terrified of Snape, but you did it anyway! And at the Ministry of magic when you saw Bellatrix for the first time! Harry had to hold you back from going after her then! Oh Neville, you were always brave!”

“With you around, Hermione, I feel brave.” He pulled the small witch into his arms and kissed her softly on her lips. When he felt her arms snake around his neck he pulled her tighter and deepened the kiss. She tasted so wonderful, like fresh, sweet summer strawberries. Her scent enveloped him in a cocoon of luscious tropical fruit and he wondered if he could ever let her go.

Hermione pulled Neville down closer to her and thrust her tongue into his mouth. He intoxicated her senses. She felt a wave of desire crash through her body and was shocked by it. She couldn’t remember ever feeling like this with any other man. She was loosing herself in his embrace when she heard someone clearing their throat.

Hermione and Neville broke apart, both flushed red in embarrassment. “Hermione Granger, are you snogging Neville Longbottom?” Ron Weasley demanded with his arm around his fiancée, Luna.

Hermione laughed. “Yes, I sure am!”

Neville pulled the witch back into his embrace and said, “And she is liking it, so go away so that we can continue!” he said as his lips crashed back down against hers. She missed the shocked expression on Ron and Luna’s faces as she closed her eyes one more time to the sensual bliss that Neville was arousing in her.

Harry held out his hand to Severus Snape. “Congratulations on your marriage, sir.”

“Thank you, Potter,” he stated.

“I would also like to thank you for everything that you did to keep Draco and Lilly safe. It is a debt to you that I will never be able to repay, and you have my oath as a Wizard, that if you ever need anything from me, I will be there for you,” he said holding up his wand and watching a spark of light surround the two of them.

“Although I appreciate you sentiment, it was completely unnecessary. Draco is my godson, and I would have given my life to protect him.”

“And he is my soul mate, sir, and Lilly is my daughter. I too would gladly give my life for either one of them. I was unavailable to protect them and you will never know how grateful I am that you stepped in.”

“Potter, I hate any type of emotion. You know this. Go away,” the snarky man said turning his back on Harry.

Harry smiled. He knew that Severus would not take a thank you with grace, but it had to be done. The man had gone above and beyond the call of duty to his godson.

“That went well,” Draco said putting his arm around Harry.

Harry laughed. “Oh yes, better than expected actually.”

“Did you see Granger and Longbottom in the reception line?” Draco asked with a laugh.

Harry shook his head. “What happened?”

“They just shocked the world with a very arousing snogging session. Watching them was enough to make me want to apparate you home and tear your clothing off!” he whispered seductively while grinding his hips into Harry’s pelvis.

“No! Hermione and Neville?” Harry could not wrap his mind around that one!

“Oh yes, and you should have seen the Weasels face when he saw! Actually I think that everyone was quite stunned. That friend of yours has definitely shown a different side than the usual bookworm side that I have seen.”

“Gods, can you imagine what their children will be like?”

Draco shuddered. “You know that they will have bucked teeth for sure!” he said.

Ginny sat alone watching all of the happy couples around her. Even Severus had someone now. Ron and Luna were soon going to be married; Harry and Draco were in love, and now Hermione and Neville. She felt the loneliness creeping up on her. She had never felt so lost and alone before. Up until several days ago she had always thought in the back of her mind that she and Harry would get together. Now, she had nobody. She gently wiped the tear the spilled down her face and tried to take deep calming breaths. She would not cry today. She would not give into this self-pity that she was feeling. She was stronger than this damn it!

“Mind if I sit down?” a deep voice asked.

Ginny’s head snapped up. “Oh! Hi! Sure, have a seat.” She quickly brushed her hand across her face again hoping that no residual tears were showing.

“You looked so lost and alone over here, I came to see how a woman as beautiful as you would be sitting all alone at a wedding. Aren’t weddings the time where everyone is happy and merry?”

Ginny smiled feeling her heart pound. “You think that I am beautiful?” she gasped.

“Ginevra Weasley, every man thinks that you are beautiful!”

Ginny laughed. “Not every many. You know, you don’t have to say things like that just to save my pride.”

“I wouldn’t waste my time saying words that were untrue to someone as intelligent as you. You would see straight through me. I only say the truth.”

Ginny blushed again. “What are you doing here? I thought that this was mostly a Muggle wedding.”

“It is, but Adrienne invited me. Hermione introduced us years ago and we have stayed friends. I must say, that I am surprised to see you here.”

“I came with my parents. They are friends with Professor Snape. They were in the Order of the Phoenix together during the war. I think that my family and Professor McGonagall and Madame Pomfrey are about the only magical people here except for Harry and Draco and Hermione and Neville.”

“I am glad to see that Hermione has finally found happiness. She is a very serious woman, and I wondered if she would ever meet anyone who would make her relax.”

“I think that those two have shocked everyone here today.”

“Would you like to dance with me, Ginny?”

Nodding up at the tall dark haired man, Ginny said, “I would love to dance with you Viktor.”

Lilly and Sirius sat together on a chair in the corner of the room. The quietly held hands and looked around. “Grandmother Narcissa says that Grandfather is up to something and we must be careful,” Lilly told her brother.

“Will he hurt us?” Sirius asked afraid.

“Not us, but our daddies. He wants you for his heir, and he wants me to use as a status symbol.”

“What is a status symbol, Lilly?”

“Grandma Lilly says it is something to make him look better to other people.”

“Why would you make him look better? You already look like him.”

“He is not well liked. People will like him more if he has me.”

“But why?”

“Because, Sirius, I can talk to dead people.”

“I know that Lilly. But why would that make people like him.”

“Grandma Lilly says that people would have to be nice to him to get to me.”

“But grandfather can’t make you talk to dead people. You don’t have any control over who you talk to.”

“He doesn’t know that though.”

“So what do we do then?”

“Grandmother Narcissa says that we must never be alone. That we must always stay together. She said that we need to tell our daddies right away that grandfather is planning to take us.”

“But you heard what the goblin said. We won’t live with grandfather, we would live with Aunt Hermione.”

Lilly giggled at the thought of Aunt Hermione. “Did you see her kissing that man?”

Sirius giggled to. “I didn’t know she knew how to do that!”

“Come Sirius, we have to talk to daddy.”
