Sweet Revenge

The next few weeks went by and Hermione went about her business as usual. She decided that she was going to enact her revenge on Blaise for what he did to Ginny. She found her perfect opportunity that Saturday. She had seen Millicent Bulstrode’s face when Blaise was flirting with a fifth year Slytherin. Apparently the giant girl liked Blaise.

Hermione could see why from a physical perspective, but knowing what she knew about him now, she was thoroughly repulsed by him. She was equally certain that Blaise did not have the same feelings for Millicent that she had for him. Millicent was one of those girls that were unfortunate in the looks department, but she was kind of smart. Hermione laughed as she thought she would make a great bouncer at a club.

She was going to charm Blaise into thinking he could not live without her. It was perfect, and it would give Millicent one night of her dream. Hermione spent the afternoon brewing a simple lust potion and then made her way toward the great hall. She “accidentally” ran into Millicent and retrieved one of her hairs. She plucked it from the girl’s head; therefore she was sure it was definitely not from the girl’s cat this time. Millicent turned around and glared intimidatingly at the girl.

“Watch it, mudblood.”

Hermione just smiled and shrugged her shoulders and walked off. She headed toward the kitchen and whispered for Dobby.

Dobby popped in front of her and said, “Missus Hermione, what can Dobby do for the friend of the great Harry Potter.”

Hermione smiled at Dobby and said, “Dobby I need you to do me a favor. When taking the pumpkin juice over to Slytherin, I need you to knock over Blaise Zabini’s glass, and put this in the pitcher that you will refill it with.”

She handed Dobby a vile, which she had added the hair to.

She added, “It’s very important that you leave after only filling Blaise’s cup with that pumpkin juice. He hurt a friend of mine and Harry’s and he must pay.”

Dobby’s face lightened up, “I will do it for you, friend of Harry Potter. I likes helping Harry Potter. He saved me from the bad masters.”

Dobby scurried off and Hermione sat with her friends at the Gryffindor table. She picked the side of the table that she could view what was going on at the Slytherin table. She didn’t have to wait long. She saw Dobby knock over Blaise’s glass, and then Dobby refilled it with the pitcher. Then Dobby kept apologizing and told Blaise he had to go iron his ears. Blaise just looked at him incredulously and Dobby disappeared back to the kitchen. Blaise continued on his conversation with his Slytherin friends, and then all the sudden after sipping on his pumpkin juice he stopped mid sentence and looked over at Millicent. Millicent, after realizing that she was being watched started to turn a nice shade of pink and quickly got up and ran out of the hall. Blaise quickly got up to follow her, and the rest of the Slytherins were watching in disbelief.

The next morning, the Great Hall was buzzing with the news. Apparently Blaise and Millicent had gotten married the night before in Hogsmeade.

The word was that Millicent was a virgin, “No surprise there,” said Harry, and that she had insisted that if Blaise wanted her they would have to be married.

Hermione made eye contact with Ginny and they were smiling. It had worked out so much better than Hermione could have imagined. In the wizarding world, there was no such thing as divorce, once you are bound, you cannot leave the person for the rest of your life.

Later Hermione found it amusing as Draco gave her more information.

He said, “Apparently Millicent made him take an unbreakable vow that he wouldn’t cheat on her. So the poor bloke can’t even take it elsewhere. He’s stuck with Bulstrode for the rest of his life.”

Hermione was laughing. Draco raised an eyebrow at her, and asked, “You didn’t have anything to do with this, did you?”

She replied, “Of course not. A head girl cannot use her powers against other students; I would be expelled.”

Draco just smiled at her. He knew that Hermione had everything to do with it. She was protecting her friend Ginny, and instead of storing this to use to bring her down, Draco just smiled. He would have done exactly the same thing. Maybe they were more alike than he had originally realized.

Hermione passed Blaise in the hall and saw him looking miserable as Millicent beamed next to him. She had landed one of the most attractive wizards in their class, and she held all the cards in their relationship. Hermione could just imagine Millicent taking the reins in the bedroom, and shuddered at the thought. She almost, just barely, felt sorry for him, but what goes around comes around. He more than deserved his fate.
