Much Love and talk to you soon,
~The Professor
Blaise ran down the corridor, heading straight for the dorms that Harry and Draco shared. To say he was pissed was an understatement.
Draco had been through hell the past few months; Blaise had kept himself informed through the owls they exchanged. Draco was first haunted by Harry's scent, followed by a huge urge to go and find him, and then the dreams had started. They were innocent at first, then became more and more in depth and intense as time went on.
Many times Draco's aura would flare and lash out, sometimes randomly. He then started to find himself drifting and walking to a place where he had seen his mate before, or swore that he smelt his scent. Blaise hadn't known then that it was Harry, because if he had, he would have begged him to pick someone else.
But the damage had been done. Draco was far to taken with Harry. He was in too deep and Potter should have known it.
Then to toss Draco out?!! After his friends had promised an attempt at courting?!!
That puffed-up coldhearted bastard had crossed the line and Blaise wasn't going to let it slide.
Ron and Hermione walked into the dorm that Harry and Draco had shared. They had a large stack of books in their hands, mostly the same books they had been reading since the first day of the year.
They were both planning on putting the books down in the main room, and then dragging Harry out and talking to him about the possible deal they had made with the Slytherins. Hoping that they had managed to get the message through Draco's thick skull.
"So… first thing we need to find out about is courting. The Yays and Nays, and then how to help Harry get out of it safely." Hermione said as she sat at the middle table, placing her books atop.
"Sounds like a game plan to me. So now, if you don't mind, I'll FINALLY go get him." Ron said, in more than a bad mood.
Hermione had talked him into waiting until this morning to talk to Harry, and then had him walk with her from the tower, to the library, and finally to Harry's dorm with her. He wanted to get to Harry first, but Hermione said that he needed his sleep and forced him to carry books instead. She seemed to think the wards around Harry would be enough for him for now, but Ron couldn't convince her that the wards weren't the point.
But as Ron finally reached Harry's door, Blaise burst into the dorm, wand drawn, and looking murderous.
"What the bloody Hell?!" Ron yelled as he drew his wand as well and faced him, his face suddenly going emotionless and murderous as well.
"WHERE IS HE?!! Where is that back stabbing git?!!" Blaise yelled at the two, and Ron frowned.
"Wait… Harry?" Hermione asked.
"YES, HARRY!!" Blaise yelled back. "THE JERK THAT JUST REFUSED DRACO RIGHT AFTER YOU SAID YOU'D TALK TO HIM!"
"What?" Ron and Hermione said together.
"You heard me!! WHERE IS HE?!! AND WHAT DID YOU SAY TO HIM?!" Blaise yelled, now lifting his wand to Ron as Hermione was, as of yet, unarmed.
"We just bloody got here, you prat!!" Ron yelled, lifting his wand as well. Ron heard Hermione make an uncomfortable sound of protest at the wand pointing.
"He should be in his room!" Hermione answered, wanting to get the wand off of Ron. Ron gave a look of horror and shock at Hermione as Blaise stormed over to Harry's room, and burst open the door.
"OY!!" Ron yelled loudly, and fired a warning-hex a few inches from Blaise's feet. Blaise nearly jumped five feet in the air then turned to Ron with a angry and heated look in his eye.
"STAY RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE, YOU MENTAL SON OF A BITCH!!" Ron yelled.
"RON!!" Hermione yelled, jumping to her feet, looking aghast at Ron's actions.
It was at that point that Pansy and Theo ran in then froze at the sight of the staring contest between Ron and Blaise, with a shocked Hermione looking on as well.
Hermione looked from the boys, to Pansy, then to Theo.
"WELL?!! DO SOMETHING!!" She shouted.
"YOUR LOVER BOY'S THE ONE WITH THE WAND AIMED AT HIM!" Pansy yelled back, despite the fact that Pansy knew Blaise was out for blood, and was only a few inches from Harry's door. Blaise used the distraction to look into Harry's Room.
"OY!!" Ron yelled again, firing another warning hex at his feet as Blaise jumped, and the girls streaked.
"STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM HIM!!" Ron yelled as Theo looked around the room, and then looked disgusted.
"Calm the fuck down, he's not even in there." Blaise said with a much calmer voice. He put his wand away but continued to glare at Ron.
Ron didn't believe him, and even though he lowered his wand, he didn't put it away until he checked Harry's room himself.
Nott continued to look disgusted, and as Ron came back to confirm that Harry was gone, Nott started chanting "Ew" to himself over and over, backing away from the door.
"He's right, Harry's not here.."
"Ew, Ew, Ew, Ew.."
"Where, well the hell is he?"
"Ew, Ew, Ew, Ew.."
"I don't know!! Gryffindor tower?"
"Ew, Ew, Ew, Ew.."
Maybe, We should go check..
"Ew, Ew, Ew, Ew.."
Are you two saying that you don't know where Potter is?
"No, We don't, and THEO!! WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?!!"
Theo then pointed to the rug in front of Harry's door..
"EEEEEWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!" Theo said, as if they where blind, death or dumb.
"What? Did Harry DIE over there?" Pansy said, with more then a little cold snap and uncaring snort in her voice to her voice.
"No.. So, So SO Much worse... THEY SHAGGED!!!" At that, all four of the others stopped dead, and looked completely grossed out..
"Oh, the horror! The Horror!! THE HORROR!!!!!!" Theo said, as he covered his face with his hands.
"THAT WHORE!!" was all that Pansy yelled in reply... and all four best mates started screaming at one another all over again.
Harry wasn't in Gryffindor Tower, or anywhere else that any of the Gryffindors or Slytherins knew of. Ron could have nicked the Marauders Map in order to find him, but sure enough, all of Harry's belongings where gone as well.
Thus began the two separate eight-hour searches for Harry by the Gryffindor and the Slytherin 7th years.
Ron and Hermione, leading team Gryffindor, feared that Harry had left Hogwarts completely. But the younger students told Neville that they were still being taught by Harry during his assigned classes. Strangely enough, not even Snape knew where he was staying during the times that he wasn't in the classroom. (Even though, the information from the tight-lipped Professor was more than a little difficult to come by.) Sadly, due to bad scheduling and absence the map, Harry seemed not only to be able avoid Draco, but a good part of Gryffindor house as well.
By that time, though, team Slytherin had already figured out that Harry had to be staying with Remus, as his newly claimed cub. Draco, who recovered quickly from the shock of rejection at the thought of his Mate having gone missing, and KNOWING that it was his fault, had taken the helm as the leader of team Slytherin.
Even though Harry wasn't able to be found outside of classes, they managed to deduce where the Transfiguration Professor's quarters were; by sending owls to Harry, and following said owl as much as they could. Even though the letters where returned burned, cut up or just in pieces, Draco didn't give up.
He finally ended up sending a howler to Harry, demanding that he either show himself and prove that he was okay, or Draco was breaking in his quarters to check on him himself.
Predictably, this howler was awsered by another howler during lunch.. Not from Harry, But from "Auror. Tonks-Lupin" who stated that Draco was to "Sod off, quit sending owls immediately".. and that "The next time you send a howler, and wake up my boys, I'm coming down and cursing them off."
Draco had Theo and Daphne Greengrass write the owls from then on, but those were also burned or ripped to pieces as well.
By dinner the Slytherins had given up, and just assumed that Harry was safe. Even so, Draco seemed to look even more worried and concerned about Harry. Pansy and Blaise were starting to think that there was something Draco wasn't telling them.
At the same time at the Gryffindor table, Seamus and Dean were conferring with Neville and Luna over why Harry was hiding. Ron and Hermione thought that the reason was obvious; he wanted away from Draco. They, themselves, were reading everything they could in order to help him. While Ron was torn between giving Hermione the cold shoulder and working with her to get Harry out of this situation, he still hadn't forgiven her for assuming that the Slytherins were going to ‘play fair’ at the Harry/Draco courting thing, when they were obviously pushing the limits at every corner.
The Howler from Tonks gave away Harry's location to them, so they planned on stopping as soon as they found out where Remus's quarters were.
Luckily, they didn't have to worry about that any longer, as the Headmistress walked in to the Great Hall at that time and stated that they (Malfoy, Parkinson, Zabini, Weasley and Granger.) were to follow her immediately to her office.
With raised eyebrows and confused faces, the five stood and followed.
Harry didn't know what was so bloody important that he had to be woken from yet another nap, and he wasn't very happy about it. But then Remus came out in a brand new pair of robes and Tonks morphed her hair to a strict and professional blond up do. More than a bit overdressed, she was also attempting to put Teddy in his best pair of tiny black shoes. Harry had a feeling there was a good reason to be awake.
"Get on your best robes." Tonks said as she spotted Harry from the corner of her eye. She was currently wrestling the left shoe onto Teddy, who was sporting auburn hair. Teddy looked over to Harry as he lay on the changing table, trying to snatch the free shoe from his mum, while happily chewing on the bottom of his right shoe that was already on him.
"Can I ask what's going on?" Harry said as he smiled lovingly at his Godson. Teddy cooed back and Tonks waved her hand.
"Remus sent a request to claim you as his cub… as well as to nullify Malfoy's claim on you. The head of the Control of Magical Creatures is here for one or the other, or both." Tonks said, as she finally managed to slip the shoe on Teddy, then removed the other from his mouth.
Harry grinned at her as Tonks grinned back, you couldn't help it with Teddy around; he was such a happy baby. Harry then walked back into his room and looked for something to wear. Remus was wearing an earthly brown suit, Tonks was in a dark brown dress, but Harry didn't have anything brown to wear.
He opened his wardrobe and looked around. Sadly, he didn't having anything dressy to wear that still fit him. He had his old green dress robes, but they were far too dressy, too small and too old. Harry frowned, picked up the robes and walked out to see Tonks again.
Tonks had Teddy on her hip as Harry walked out, and she blinked at him as he showed her said robes. Tonks sighed.
"Harry… Don't tell me those muggles didn't take you for new clothes." Harry frowned at this. Tonks took that as a yes.
Tonks lifted her wand to the robes and transfigured the neckline and hems of the robe. Harry nodded and walked back into his room, getting on a good pair of muggle pants he had worn not to long ago, and a normal white shirt to wear under the robe. Harry decided he was going to button the robes all the way up this time.
Harry walked out when he was done. Remus then gave the suit another look, and transfigured it again. The first was to take the hem in a bit so that the robes fit better; the second was for the color. Remus made it a darker green, which suited Harry just fine.
Harry checked his cuffs, and smiled at Remus and Tonks, who smiled back. They had talked to Harry over and over about being claimed as a cub and Harry thought that it was a good idea. Although he wasn't too happy that the four of them (Teddy included) being put under the glass for approval just because it was him. Having a family later in life was better than not having one at all.
The four of them then walked out of their quarters, down a few flights of stairs and to the Headmaster's office. It wasn't until they were walking up the gargoyle staircase that Harry started to get nervous… and the serious tones of the voices that were being heard coming down the steps from the room made him feel even more nervous. That is until a familiar voice broke out.
"Why don't we WAIT for him to get here before we start planning anything!!" Came the abnormally sharp voice of Arthur Weasley. Harry smiled to himself as he felt a pang of warmth and pain at the same time. For some reason, Harry couldn't stop himself from remembering Ginny… and the man what was going to be his father-in-law. Harry stopped and took in a deep breath.
He knew what was wrong; Draco's magic had weakened him again. Harry tried to stone himself again as he heard other voices agreeing with Arthur. Harry decided that this was the best time to enter and with a quick step and a turn of the doorknob, he walked in. Everyone froze and hushed as he and the Lupin’s made their entrance.
The first thing Harry noticed was that the whole room was filled from side to side.
Arthur, Molly, Ron and Hermione sat at the right of the desk; Molly and Hermione sitting while Ron and Arthur stood.
To Harry's distaste and disgust, and McGonagall’s as well, gathered at a small desk on the left of the main desk was Umbridge and Fudge. Sitting on each side of the man that Harry guessed was the head of the Department for the Control of Magical Creatures.
In front of the small desk and opposite the Weasley’s (and to no surprise to Harry at all) were Draco, Pansy and Blaise… standing behind them against the wall was Severus Snape and…
Harry froze as his eyes locked on the last figure, seated on the most comfortable overstuffed chair the room had to offer. Next to Harry, Tonks' eyes locked on the figure with a glare as full of malice as a woman with a child in her arms could give.
The black-clad figure stood up gracefully, the robes moving as the figure moved towards Harry, head held high. Harry's gaze followed the figure as it stood and moved, coming to stop only inches in front of him. A powerful aura of superiority and distaste flowing out of the figure as it looked Harry over slowly.
"Mr. Potter..." The figure replied definitely. The words might have as well been ‘You’re pathetic.’ Harry stopped himself from wincing at the cold words.
"Mrs. Malfoy…" Harry said in reply to the Half-Veela woman in front of him.
"Narcissa…" Tonks said, just as cruel, from next to Harry.
Narcissa Malfoy's icy blue eyes locked onto Tonks. Harry knew that Narcissa was Tonks’ Aunt, and knew for a fact that Narcissa refused to admit that Tonks was even alive. Both blond women held their ground, and smiled painfully at one another. No one said a word as the air in the room suddenly felt like fog. Harry wondered if Tonks was going to hand him or Remus Teddy, and smash her face in.
"Dora... Lovely to see you, dear." Mrs. Malfoy said. Tonks blinked at her sudden greeting, but Narcissa immediately turned back to Harry.
She looked Harry over again, this time lowering her nose and seeming to… sniff at Harry. Harry didn't know whether to be insulted or not.
Narcissa then glared at Harry, disapproval shining from her eyes as clear as day. Harry, refusing to give her an inch.
Harry suddenly hoped that Narcissa DID hate him, or insult him, so that Draco would be told off for choosing him as his mate, and Tonks could slap her.
Narcissa then nodded her head, apparently coming to a decision in her own mind. She then turned her attention to her hands, and she started to pull her traveling gloves off, finger by finger.
"Very well, Mr. Weasley. He's here, now we can start planning. Harry and Draco will be exchanging vows on All Hallows Eve. Let's start there."
Harry's mouth dropped, Pansy nearly fainted and people from the right and left side of the room screamed in protest.
(P.S: No, Hermione is not being a bitch. She's a human with a huge charter flaw that I'm going to be playing with a lot in the story. So no, she's not evil; she's just messed up big time. It happens to all of us.)
