Chapter 16: Strange Words
Note: If this chapter confuses you, the last chapter got cut off midway and that's what is making up for the confusion. To let everyone know Harry, Remus, and Moody went to Ravenclaw Castle, which is visited by Muggles and found the necklace after Alister had to use all sorts of spells to get a door opened that led to the necklace. They found a tapestry that showed Hermione's name under the house of Ravenclaw and Hermione told Minerva about the name for the boy even though Severus protested that it might not fit him.

Minerva was
pleased when all three of them returned back to Hogwarts with Rowena Ravenclaw’s
necklace with them. She took it and then was told by Remus what they saw in
Rowena’s quarters.
“Are you telling me
that Hermione is the heir of Ravenclaw?”
“Yes,” Remus said.
“It makes since,”
Dumbledore said. “Tom must have found out that Hermione was Ravenclaw’s heir
and took her. It fits with what Tom has done in the past. Of course ruining
Ravenclaw’s heir is something else that he thought might be fitted for a line
that went thin on the magic.”
“Do you think that
he attempted to put his soul into her,” Remus said.
“I don’t know,”
Dumbledore said. “But she doesn’t show the signs that Ginny did when Tom shared
his soul, so I don’t think that he had the chance.”
“So what are we
going to do?”
“Well first, we
need to find out how Severus plays into all this,” Dumbledore suggested. “He
had his purpose even if we all think that he was controlled because of what Tom
discovered about his connections with us.”
“Do you think this
fits with what he has done in the past?” Harry asked.
Dumbledore sighed.
“I don’t know,” he
said. “Being dead has left me at a disadvantage that I’m finding unsettling.
But if Hermione and Severus play some role in the history of the founders, then
I would like to find out.”
“And what about the
necklace,” Harry asked. “Should we give it to Hermione when were done with
disposing of Voldemort’s soul.”
“Yes, I think that
we should,” Dumbledore said. “It is after all hers.”
“Albus, what in the
world is going on here?” Minerva asked, after they had left.
“I don’t know, but
I think that we need someone to talk to Mr. Weasley,” Dumbledore said. “Only he
knows what true purpose Voldemort had for Severus and Hermione.”
Minerva sighed and looked out the window.
“And I thought it
was just to ruin both lives.”
“Minerva, my dear,
Tom always has his reason for doing things,” Dumbledore said. “Hermione is the
heir of Ravenclaw and he likes being around things that remind him of the
founders. I believe that he had pleasure just being in her presence. Raping her
would have turned her into something that would have shamed Ravenclaw’s line if
this had been any other time. Severus place in all this, I don’t know.”
“I hope we find
out,” she said.
“Me too.”

Severus was
delighted in getting the necklace and told the three wizards that he would
return the necklace to Hermione when he had finished. Alister stayed behind and
gave the young wizard an evil look.
“I’m only telling
you this because the others believe that you’re this grave victim,” he said. “I
don’t buy it, but I’m willing to tell you this. Remus saw Hermione’s name on a tapestry
in Rowena’s chambers and it indicates that she’s the heir of Ravenclaw. Well
until the little baby is born.”
Severus thought about this. It made sense that Hermione was
the heir of Ravenclaw as she was so smart. It also meant that she and Septimus
were in grave danger.
“Well I’ll be
going, Snape,” Alister said.
He walked to the door and was just about to walk out when he
turned to Severus. The young wizard had his back turn. He grinned to himself.
“CONSTANT VIGILANCE!”
he roared.
Severus jumped which satisfied Alister.

telling her mother that she was expecting and what she was going to name him.
She hoped that her parents understood why she was keeping the child and to at
least send her some baby clothes so that she didn’t have to worry about what
the baby was going to wear. When she left the Owlery after sending off the
letter she was met by Remus, which told Hermione that they were all back.
