Chapter 17: Slytherins and Gryffindors

The Slytherin Dungeons:

“Where are you going,” whispered Marcus as Katie jumped out of his bed. “Did you know that you are naked, love?”

Katie gasped and grabbed Marcus’s robe out of his armoire. She clutched the too big garment around herself and marched over to Adrian’s bed.

“Adrian,” demanded Katie. “Is Alicia in there?”

“Kind of,” said Adrian muffled from behind the curtains.

“What do you mean,” asked Katie, “kind of?”

“Okay,” said Adrian. “She‘s here.”

“Can I speak to her,” asked Katie with a sigh.

Alicia’s head poked out of the bed curtains a moment later. Her face was red.

“Hi Katie,” said Alicia weakly, “fancy meeting you here.”

“What are you doing?” asked Katie.

“Exactly what you do here every weekend and a few weeknights as well, Bell,” said Adrian sardonically from behind Alicia. “Or should I say kitten.”

Katie’s face flushed a deep dark shade of red.

“Adrian,” said Marcus in a warning tone from his bed. “Do not upset my girlfriend.”

“Girlfriend,” gasped Alicia.

“Girlfriend?” thought a thrilled Katie. “Marcus just called me his girlfriend.”

“Girlfriend?” asked Adrian in an amazed tone, “Since when?”

“None of your business,” said Marcus crisply. “Katie just tell Spinnet where you’ll be and come back to bed.”

“Oh,” said Katie. Her face was still hot with embarrassment and excitement. “I’ll be here tomorrow so tell Angelina. I’ll be back Sunday night.”

At that moment, Terrence Higgs came through the door. He stopped in his tracks abruptly.

“Merlin,’ said Higgs with a grin. “If Angelina Johnson is waiting for me in my bed, this night should go down in Hogwarts, A History.”

“Come back to bed Katie,” said Marcus.

“Why don’t you give mine a try?” said Terry with a wink at Katie.

“Bugger off,” said Marcus flatly.

“Sorry,” said Terrence with a roguish smile. “I forgot Marcus doesn’t want to share you.”

Katie blushed and hurried back towards Marcus’s bed. Katie climbed in and Marcus snapped the bed curtains shut tightly.

Marcus pulled Katie under the covers and disposed of his robe in a swift gesture. “Gits,” mumbled Marcus under his breath.

“What does he mean by not sharing?” asked Katie with a frown.

“In the past,” sighed Marcus. “We have shared girls. I told you already.”

“But me,” asked Katie.

“Adrian and Terry already asked,” said Marcus quietly. “And I said no.”

“They wanted to sleep with me,” asked Katie with shock.

“No,” said Marcus. “They wanted to shag you. I want to sleep with you.” He pulled her into his arms.

Katie leaned into his arms and smiled into the darkness.

“Marcus,” asked Katie with a whisper. “Am I really your girlfriend?”

“Katie,” said Marcus in her ear. “I do not give ruby necklaces to girls I’m just shagging. Of course, you are my girlfriend. I’m your boyfriend, aren’t I?”

“Yes,” said Katie dreamily. “You are my boyfriend.”

“You’ve exhausted me,” complained Marcus. “Let me sleep please.”

“Okay,” agreed Katie as she snuggled closer to his body. They both fell asleep wrapped around each other.

Back in Adrian’s Bed:

“I had better go,’ said Alicia after she watched Katie climb back into bed with Flint.

“But Terry is here,” said Adrian with a wicked grin. He ran his hand up her thigh.

“You are a wicked wicked boy,” said Alicia breathlessly. Adrian pulled the sheet away from her body to expose her lush curves.

“Terry, do you want to come and play,” asked Adrian loudly.

“Adrian,” said a shocked Alicia. She gasped when Terry stuck his head inside the bed. He eyed Alicia with a wide grin.

The Slytherin Common Room: Later that week:

“I’ve heard that Flint is seeing a Quidditch player from another house,” offered Draco helplessly in the deserted silence of the Slytherin common room. It was past midnight.
