Midnight Patrol

Hermione took a deep breath and went into the common room. Luckily for her it was nearly empty. “Hey Hermione.” Ginny said looking up from her Teen Witch magazine and smiled.

“Ginny hey um.. you wouldn’t happen to know where Ron and Harry are would you?”

“Detention.” She said giggling.

“What did they do?” she asked curiously taking a seat next to her best girl friend.

“I don’t know, but what ever it was Professor Snape was furious.”

Hermione shook her head only imagining what could have happened.. “Ginny can I tell you something.”

“Of course anything.” The red head said closing her magazine, as she folded over the corner marking her spot.

“Alone.” She said standing up as her friend followed her upstairs.

Hermione made sure Lavender or Parvati weren’t around but as an extra precaution put a silencing spell around the curtain of her bed as they both sat down.

“Hermione is everything okay?” Ginny asked worriedly.

Hermione sighed and shook her head. “I have to tell someone, I need someone to back me up.”

“Back you up for what?”

“Harry already knows and Ron… oh Merlin, Ron will be furiond end everyone in school will hate me and….”

“Hermione calm down okay.” Ginny said grabbing her shoulders. “Now take a deep breath and tell me what’s wrong.”

Hermione did as her best friend instructed as she closed her eyes doing so. Calming down a bit she opened her brown eyes and spoke. “I’m dating Draco Malfoy.”

“What?!” Ginny shrieked.

Hermione winced. “And there’s more…”

“You’re dating one on of the hottest guys in the school and you didn’t tell me!” Ginny asked shocked. “Wait there’s more?”

She nodded. “We have been um…. seeing each other well you know that but um…”

“You’re having sex with him?”

She nodded. “You’re not mad?”

“Just that you didn’t tell me sooner.” Ginny said running her fingers through her red hair. “Wow, how is he?”

Hermione’s face turned red. “Ginny!”

“I’m just curious.”

“It’s like heaven every time.” She said giggling as she told Ginny the entire story from their first attraction, to Harry, to Snape, and to his bedroom.

Draco sighed as he paced in his room. He had no intention on telling Crabbe and Goyle alone for who knows what those idiots would do. He had to protect Hermione at all costs, especially when his father found it, let alone protecting himself. He heard a knock at his door and walked over. “Professor…”

“May I come in Mr. Malfoy?” Snape asked as his student nodded shutting the door.

“What is it you need Professor Snape?”

“No need for formalities right now Draco. I suppose Miss Granger told you of what I know.” He asked and taking the blushing as a yes. “I just wished to tell you myself despite what your father will think I believe she is good for you. She’s smart, kind, and very beautiful.”

Draco smirked. “Knew you fancied her.”

Severus narrowed his eyes. “Just remember who will be protecting you from three houses when they all find out.”

“Yes, sir.” He nodded.

Hermione nervously walked towards the Great Hall with Ginny by her side. “It’ll be okay.”

“I hope so. If we’re not killed.” She said quietly.

“Just remember I’m on your side. And if Ron tried anything I’ll owl mum and ask her to a h a howler.”

“Best not, she may send it to me.” She said as they walked into the double doors.

Hermione’s face paled seeing everyone was in there unsure if she could do this or not. She looked up at the teachers table where Professor Snape caught her eye and nodded slightly to her. She glanced slightly at the Slytherin table where Draco looked as nervous as she did.

“Come on the sooner the better.” Ginny said nudging her slightly. She glanced at the table and saw Harry staring at them. The look on his face was obvious. He knew that she knew, and he knew what was about to happen.

Draco looked up and saw Hermione walk in with Ginny next to her. He was happy she would have at least one good friend on her side. He looked at Snape who was looking at Hermione and took a deep breath. “Gotta do it.” He said quietly.

“Do what Drakie?” Pansy asked.

Draco stood up and noticed Potter glaring at him as he made his way towards Hermione. Harry had his wand gripped tightly in his fist as he moved a bit quicker. Noticing most students attentions were now on him. “Hermione.” He said softly so no one would hear as he stopped in front of her.

“Draco.” She whispered as she nodded slightly.

Ginny notice Harry stand up with his wand in his hand. She had to react quickly as she glanced out of the corner of her eye at Hermione and Draco. She took her wand out and pointed it at Harry. “Stupefy!”

“Ginny!” Ron gasped.

“Miss Weasley!” Professor McGonagall said shockingly.

Ron’s blue eyes widened as he saw what happened next. Malfoy pulled Hermione closer to his body and kissed her full on the lips, what shocked him worse was when he saw Hermione kiss him back.

*Ducks behind steel door to avoid all objects being thrown* I’m so sorry I haven’t updated. I had real bad writers block and then a lot of things happened like my mom and uncle both got real sick, my great aunt just died and so did one of my closest friends. Please don’t hate me.
