Doubtful Draco

What an awkward appearance by You-Know-Who...

And Sampdoria - to answer your observation about Draco's magical strength when compared to Harry's and Lucius. He took them both by suprise, and not by brute force. That gave him the edge he needed...

Harry frowned. “If it isn’t the Man Who Can’t Leave Me The Fuck Alone.” He said.

Narcissa’s eyes were glued to the silvery form. “Draco was…possessed? When?” she asked, and the ghost’s lifeless eyes turned to her, and she shrank against her husband.

“The night I died. As soon as Potter here took my life, I almost immediately became a ghost. Then, I quickly looked for someone to posses. Draco was weak enough to take. I’ve just been having fun wreaking havoc on everyone here. That and screwing Draco’s sweet little wife. Nice choice he made…actually…I made…” said the ghost.

James made a motion as if he were going to throw up. “Ugh. That’s more disgusting than the time I walked in on mum and dad…” he said. Voldemort’s eyes turned to James.

“And what an interesting creature we have here. I’m glad Rethrin and Kobbs got to you. You make a fine little ornament.” He said. James rolled his eyes.

“If you think I’m mad, think again. I actually have an advantage.” He said, swishing his black tail. Lucius gained his voice.

“Get out of my house, you slimy bastard.” He said, drawing a shocked look from the ghost of Voldemort.

“What?” he said.

“You heard me. Scram. Scoot. Skedaddle. Shoo.” He said. Voldemort glided easily towards Lucius, and Narcissa bristled, wrapping her arms tightly around Lucius’ arm.

James grinned. “Carpe Espiritus.” He said, and both his hands became transparent. He grabbed Voldemort by his silvery robes, and flung him straight through the walls, causing an uncharacteristic screech. “Espiritus Expellus.” He said, and his hands began to glow white. He placed both hands to the wall, and there seemed to be a glimmer in the entire room.

Lucius looked at James. “Where did you learn those spells?” he asked. James grinned.

“I made them up and hoped they’d work.” He said, and slapped his hands together to rid himself of nonexistent dust. “Score one for the half-bloods.” He said, and cupped his hands to his mouth, breathing loudly to imitate the noise of a crowd.

A soft groan drew everyone’s attention. Draco sat up, holding his bleeding forehead. “What happened? I feel like I just got sat on by Crabbe…” he said, and looked around. Everyone was staring at him. “What are we doing here…we were just at Hogwarts.” He said. Lucius’ eyes widened slightly. It didn’t appear Draco remembered any of his Possessment. “What’s everyone staring at?” he asked. He looked at Draca, and then to his parents, spotted Abraxas in the corner, looked at James, and then his eyes finally rested on Harry.

Harry looked at Draco. “Draco…you don’t..remember anything?” he asked.

Draco looked at Harry. “Are you mad? We just…well…You just defeated You-Know-Who!” he said, becoming excited. “How did we get to my parents’ house? Whose room are we in?” he asked, his grin never leaving his face.

Harry frowned. “Draco…you’ve been possessed by Voldemort’s ghost for nine years. We’re in your parents house because you live here….and you’re in your daughter’s bedroom…” he said. Draco’s smile faded.

“Possessed? By Him? Daughter?” he asked, and his eyes fell on Draca. He laughed. “I can’t have a daughter! I’m not even married!” he laughed. Lucius realized with growing dread that his son was serious. He didn’t remember a thing. Draco’s smile faded though when nobody laughed. “This is a joke, right? A cruel joke?” he asked, his face turning to his father. Lucius shook his head lightly.

“No, Draco. It isn’t. You’ve been married near ten years now and you have a son who’s eight and a daughter who’s six.” He said. Draco looked again at Draca, and then his eyes caught Abraxas again.

Tears welled up in Draco’s eyes. “I…this can’t be happening…I’ve missed ten years of my life…” he said, and sank to his knees.

“Not only that, but you’ve been an abusive, slimy git who beats his mother and daughter.” James perked. Harry slapped James in the back of the head. “Ow!” he said.

Draco’s eyes widened, and he looked at his mother. “Mother! I haven’t! Have I? Oh Merlin…mum I’m so sorry….I’d never hit you…I...” he trailed, approaching his mother. He reached out to touch her face, and she winced slightly from reflex. He withdrew his hands, and then looked at Draca. “You too?” he asked, and Draca’s little head bobbed up and down in response. He gave over to sobs, and buried his face in his hands. “I know nothing of this! I…what about my son?” he asked.

“You actually put him above everyone in the household turning him into a lying, conniving prat who loves to see his sister punished.” James said again, and received another slap to the back of the head from his father.

Draco looked to his father. “Is it true? Oh Merlin…I’m so sorry…” he said. “What about you dad?” he said.

Lucius swallowed hard. “I was in Azkaban for nine years, Draco. I wasn’t here for the majority of it. I just got out a few months ago.” He said. Draco began to sob again, sinking once more to his knees. Narcissa let go of Lucius and tentatively approached her son. She touched his shoulders and, seeing that he wasn’t going to lash out at her, wrapped her arms around him. He leaned into her embrace, mourning the lost and mishandled time.

“I’m so sorry mum. I never meant to hurt you.” He sobbed. Narcissa stroked his hair.

“It’s okay, Draco. It wasn’t you, apparently. All’s forgiven.” She said, and kissed his head.

Lucius gingerly stepped forward and put a hand on his son’s back. “It’s time to take control of your own life. You have a wife and two children. Get up and meet them.” He said. Draco stood, a look of great sadness in his eyes. He went to Draca, and knelt before her. She looked terrified.

“Hello, dear. You may think you know me, but you don’t. And I certainly don’t know you. What’s your name?” he asked her. She looked at her father.

“I’m Draca.” She said. He laughed softly.

“How very vain of me…er…Him.” He said, and reached out to touch Draca’s face. He noted with dismay that she flinched too, and he withdrew his hand. “I don’t know how I treated you before, my dear, but now you’ll get the treatment that befits a princess!” he said, and she seemed slightly cheered at this prospect. He stood, and approached Abraxas. He knelt down in front of him as well. “Well…a son. My heir. What’s your name?” he asked.

“Abraxas.” He said. Draco looked at his father.

“Sorry about that…” he said. Lucius dismissed the matter with a wave of his hand.

“Abraxas…I don’t know if I ever told you this…I love you. And I love your sister, too. You’re equals now.” He said. Abraxas frowned.

“I don’t want to be equals with her!” he said. Draco put his hands on the boy’s shoulders.

“But you are, whether you like it or not. I see that you’re probably going to be a problem that needs reeling in the hard way. But I’ll get through to you, just as your grandfather used to get through to me.” He said, and Abraxas’ face paled slightly. He stood, and then approached his mother again.

“I’m so sorry. There isn’t much I can say…” he said, and gently pulled his mother into a hug. She returned the hug happily, and he rubbed his hand on her back.

“It’s just good to have the real you here.” She said, and reached up to place a kiss on her son’s cheek.

Harry smiled. “Well it’s about time to take me and my miscreant home.” He said, and started to guide James out of the room. Draco stopped him.

“No, no, Potter. I’m sure you had something to do with my rescue, whether you admit it or not.” He said. “I want you and your son to stay for dinner. Matter of fact, if you have a son you have a wife. Send for her immediately. And Ronald. Send for him. Send for Hermione, too, if it makes you feel good. We’ll have a right party tonight!” he said, and walked quickly out of the room to find his wife. He walked back into the room, a slight blush on his face.

“Glinda.” His mother said knowingly, and Draco walked right out again with a silent salute. Lucius looked at Harry.

“Well as long as you’re here you might as well stay! After all, this promises to be some party.” He said. “And we’ll have it here, of course!” he said, and clapped Harry on the shoulder. Harry smiled awkwardly.

“I’ll send for Ginny at once.” He said.
