Chapter 17 & Author's notes
Severus was pulled out of his reverie by the burning tingling pain in his left forearm. 'Damn! He must have heard of her escape.' He stood quickly and rushed to his bedroom, grabbing his mask and cloak from the back of his closet, yelling for Dopey and Maaki.
"I have to leave immediately. No one is to enter the house. Take care of Tristyn. Floo Potter if you need anything."
"Of course, Master." Dopey bowed and followed Maaki into the baby's room. Severus ran down the stairs and flooed Dumbledore, just as the summoning burned again. Voldemort really wanted to see him tonight.
"Albus, I'm being called. I can only assume he heard of Hermione leaving the hospital. Maaki and Dopey have things under control here. If I'm not back by tomorrow morning...."
"You'll return, Severus. Clear your mind and hurry to Tom. He's anxious to see you. And be careful, son."
Severus nodded and strode to the front door, his cloak and mask now on. He opened the door and apparated away.
Author's note~~~ Sorry about this! It was supposed to be a part of the previous chapter and in my sleep deprived state, I forgot...Well here it is..something to hold you over till I can update again. Like I said notes were 'lost' by one of the kids, so I'm trying to reorganize my thoughts...Again! LOL...Thanks for the reviews and the accolades. Considering this is the first time I've submitted something over one page online, I feel so warm and fuzzy :P Keep em coming, it gets me writing!
