Summery: Hermione is being targeted by an evil that hasn’t set foot on earth in over a thousand years. Now, she must be protected. What happens when she and her protector fall in love? R/R
Chapter 16
It was the week of the final battle. Severus sat in shock at his desk. He couldn’t believe what he had just read. One of his ancestors had made a prophecy. He jumped to his feet, journal in hand, and rushed off to find both Obi-Wan and Mace. They needed to see this. He found them meditating in the gardens.
“Hello Severus. What can we do for you?” Obi-Wan asked.
Severus jumped right in. He told them how he had discovered he was a Jedi descendant, about the journals, and finally the prophecy he had just discovered. “You two need to read this. I think it may very well change the course of the entire Jedi Council as you know it.” Severus explained as he handed the two Masters the journal.
Mace and Obi-Wan’s eyes widened as they read the entry.
A young and powerful Jedi will rise above all others. He will fall in love and marry a woman with the blood of a Jedi, but is not one herself. From this union will be born a line of Jedi that will be the strongest and most powerful ever seen. The children of these two will destroy the Sith once and for all.
The two Master couldn’t believe it. In that instant, Obi-Wan knew the prophecy was referring to Hermione and Anakin, as did Severus and Mace. Finally Mace spoke up.” This prophecy refers to Skywalker and Hermione doesn’t it?”
“I believe so.” Severus answered.
“I agree. How long have you known?” Obi-Wan asked Mace.
“Since shortly after arriving. I know it is forbidden, but something in the Force told me to remain quiet.” Mace answered.
“I felt that as well. After the battle, we will take Anakin back to Coruacant and let Master Yoda see the journals. Severus, perhaps you should return with us and present this to the council. If this prophecy is true, we must not allow Hermione and Anakin to be separated. Even by the council.” Obi-Wan instructed. Mace and Severus nodded in agreement.

Palpatine stood looking over the army assembled. Next to him stood Lucius. Voldemort had come through. Every Death Eater and ally had been assembled. The army was quite impressive, Palpatine only hoped it would be enough to defeat the Jedi and the Light.
“Master, I have sensed a change in the Force.” Lucius said.
“As have I. I understand you were unable to persuade your son to join us, is that correct?” Palpatine asked.
“That is correct Master. I sent him a letter telling to join us if he wishes to live and to save the Potter boy. He refused. He said it would be us that is defeated.” Lucius answered.
“Then that will be his mistake. Go to Voldemort, tell him to prepare the army. We will move out at dawn. In two days, this will end.” Palpatine ordered.
Lucius bowed and left. Palpatine continued staring over the army. He couldn’t shake the feeling of foreboding that washed over him. He hoped that they were successful, otherwise, he would be doomed.

“Draco, what is it?” Harry asked as they sat at the Gryffindor table that night at dinner.
“I feel something has happened. Something involving Hermione and Anakin. They know Harry.” Draco answered.
“Hey guys. What’s wrong? You look upset Draco.” Hermione questioned as she joined them a few moments later.
“Just a bad feeling. Nothing to worry about. I think my nerves are on edge because of the upcoming battle.” Draco said.
“I know what you mean.” Hermione sighed as she began piling food on her plate.
Harry and Draco shared a look. They only hoped that their feelings were wrong. They didn’t want to see Hermione or Anakin hurt. After dinner, Ron pulled Harry and Draco into an empty classroom.
“All right, spill. What the hell is wrong with you guys. Ever since those other Jedi Master got here, you two have been acting stranger than usual. Tell me what’s going on. Now.” Ron demanded.
And they did. Harry and Draco filled him on them being Jedi descendants. About Severus being one as well. Hermione and Anakin being in love and the fact that they were pretty sure that Mace and Obi-Wan knew about the couple.
“I don’t get it. They’re in love, so what?” Ron said in confusion.
“Ron, it’s forbidden for a Jedi to fall in love. Why I don’t know. Maybe it’s to keep the bad guys from using their families as leverage, who knows. The point is, both of them knew they shouldn’t fall in love, but they did anyway.” Harry explained.
“Okay, what are you going to do?” Ron questioned.
“I don’t know. We talked to Severus. He, like us said that even though it was forbidden, Hermione and Anakin just look perfect together. Almost as if it would screw everything up if they weren’t together.” Draco answered.
“Then, we need to make sure the council doesn’t do anything to hurt them.” Ron said forcefully.

Back on Coruacant, Padme sat up gasping for air. If she didn’t know any better, she would swear she had just had a premonition. But that was impossible. Wasn’t it? She jumped from the bed, got dressed and hurried to the Jedi Temple. She had to speak to Master Yoda. He was the only Master she knew of that had remained at the temple while the others had gone to Earth.
“Master Yoda? It’s Senator Amadala. I need to speak with you.” Padme called out as she entered the meeting chambers.
“Senator Amadala? What is wrong?” Yoda asked as he entered the chambers a few minutes later.
“Master Yoda, I think I just had a premonition.” She answered shakily.
Yoda had her sit down and she explained what she saw. Yoda listened as she described seeing Anakin and a woman fighting in the battle on Earth. She saw the woman get hurt and Anakin became angry. Almost as if he had snapped, but not quite. Once finished, she fell silent and waited for Yoda to say something.
“Hmm. Strange this is. Meditate on this I will. I will notify Master Kenobi on Earth. Thank you for coming here.” Yoda said.
“Thank you Master Yoda for listening to me. I didn’t know where else to go. You will tell me when the fighting is over on Earth won’t you?” Padme asked.
“Of course. Close to Anakin you are. I will tell you.” Yoda answered.
Padme bowed to the Jedi Master and saw herself out of the temple. Yoda went and sent word to Obi-Wan and Mace about what Padme had just told him. All the while, wondering how she even received the premonition in the first place.
