Making the head lines
\"Head line: Known Death Eater Is Given Appeal Go Ahead! by Rita Skeeter\" Hermione read to Snape from the Daily Prophet, then she took out a copy of the days Quibbler and read that Head line, \"War Hero\'s justice at last!\"
Snape had been worried about the bad press, even though yesterday’s proceedings had gone well, and Hermione was trying to reassure him. She had left rather quickly last night after he had expressed his sincere gratitude. She had been a bit flustered and realized that when she got home she was still blushing.
Hermione was pleased with Luna\'s article, very please. She read it out loud to Snape; he didn\'t need to hear the bad stuff.
\"Severus Snape, war hero and spy for the Order of the Phoenix, has started an appeal. In his defense Hermione Granger, the brightest witch that has graduated from Hogwarts in over 50 years, is standing as council. She is not getting a salary for her work and was sacked from her job at the Ministry because of this course of action.
Severus Snape was imprisoned in Azkaban for life, for the murder of Albus Dumbledore, founder of the Order. However, it has come to light, through Miss Granger, that the old Professor ordered his loyal spy, employee and friend to kill him for the greater good.
In an exclusive statement to the Quibbler, Miss Granger quoted \'I know how people feel about the Professor. They want a person to blame every Death Eater murder on and they are making him it. From now on, you take on him, you take on me.\'
Hermione Granger is a hero herself, fighting bravely in the final battle. She saved many people with her quick reflexes and even trained several young people in extreme defense.
This young witch has put all her considerable IQ into deciding whether Severus Snape was trust worthy and now thinks he is. She insists that he is a \'decent person, braver than most\' and if she can put faith in him, why can\'t we.
He saved my life the day he killed Dumbledore, and for that, me and the Quibbler are supporting the Appeal through thick and thin. Please give him the benefit of the doubt.

Hermione looked at the pictures. There was one, of Snape in the court room bound to the chair; the caption under said \'Unfairly treated, the war hero who was never recognized.\' The other picture was one of Hermione holding Snapes hand and smiling, the caption said \'A ray of hope in the darkness of Azkaban, Hermione Granger: The Savior\'
\"It was more about you than me.\" Snape whined.
\"Well, the Daily Prophet had a lot to say on you...\" Hermione frowned.
\"I don\'t want to know!\" He snapped. Hermione, who was sitting next to him in a room off the court room, waiting to be called in, She put her arm around his slumped shoulders and squeezed them lightly.
\"Don\'t worry, Luna know what she\'s doing.\" Hermione whispered to him. He sighed, but didn\'t speak. A throat cleared from the door way, Hermione looked up to see a man in a suit and two guard in the door way.
She got up. ‘Here we go again...\'

Ginny watched from the gallery as Hermione presented a pensieve and a memory expert to explain that the memories were genuine.
She new it was going well, and she was happy, but she couldn\'t see why Hermione would throw her life and job away because of it. Then again, Ginny had always been rather selfish like that. She was all for self preservation, maybe she should have been in Slytherin.
One by one the judges dropped into the pensieve and came out looking thoughtful and torn between whether to go with the evidence or just be stubborn. The prosecution had a stupid argument and no evidence, Ginny could see that Hermione was winning.
She looked over to Snape, he was staring at Hermione. His eyes were glittering, but seemed soft as well; it was strange. Then it clicked.
The man who had kissed Hermione and flustered her last week was Snape! It all fitted, she thought he hated her, the funny looks, and not many offers in that department... Well, this was a turn in events.
Who knew what would happen if he got out? When he got out...?
