Hidden Horcrux, The Necklace of Slytherin Retrieved

Eh, this chapter is not for the faint of heart. Please do not hate me!!!

Authors Note: I want to explain and go a little more into Dumbledore's death. I had mentioned that his death was, in fact, caused by none other than Voldemort himself. I must go a little deeper into that, so you will not have to ponder on the means or cause of the headmasters' death. The whole pact between Snape and Narcissa did not occur in HBP, and Draco had no obligations to Voldemort to off the headmaster. The rest of the book, all other happenings did occur. Harry studied with the headmaster and entered the pensieve to learn of Tom Riddle's past. The two did go to the cave and Dumbledore was weakened after drinking the concoction from the basin. When they returned, it was the same, the dark mark was above the school, yet it was not Draco who was waiting for Dumbledore, it was the death eaters, Lucius included. Voldemort learned of the closet/ portal on his own after having used it during his presence at Hogwarts. Voldemort killed Dumbledore... there.. that is it... sorry about explaining all this so far into the story, it is here now.

Chapter 17
Hidden Horcrux, The Necklace of Slytherin Retrieved

Harry stared at the raging battle before him, a smug smile playing across his lips. His patronus made easy work of the twenty something dementors that filled the large waiting room of the orphanage.

Harry whooped in joy as the two phoenixes swooped down to join the fight. The magnificent creatures were a blur of crimson and coal as they flew between their attackers with deft speed and agility. Fawkes sang out melodiously as he grabbed for one of the ghostly figures, snatching up its dark robes in his talons. The dementor sighed heavily before it was ripped to shreds by the beautiful bird. Helios screeched angrily as a dementor floated up behind Harry, grabbing the startled boys’ head from behind.

Harry gasped softly, trying to turn to face his attacker. Helios flew to his aid, only to burst into flames and fall, naked and young, onto the floor. The baby phoenix chirped sadly. All of the boys’ patronus battled the few remaining hooded figures as Harry froze. Time seemed to stand still. He felt a tug at the back of his head and tried to twist around violently to no avail. He felt all the sorrow, pity; worries and fears well up inside.

He screamed in agony as his surroundings blurred and darkened.

Harry used his muscular body to push the lithe blond into the dirt and blood. A battle had taken place. Harry’s senses were tingling; the smell of fresh blood hit his nose. He licked his lips in a feral manner. The boy beneath him squirmed uneasily.

The mere movement aroused Harry to no end. He rotated his naked form onto Draco’s bare body.

“Harry, this is not right, we have to... ahhh. We… h-have to help Sirius and the other pack…” Draco tried to push the drooling boy off. Harry grounded down into the slightly startled form of his mate.

“No. This first.” Harry’s eyes blazed violently as he looked down hungrily at his mate. Draco frowned.

“Now that is enough Potter, get off of me this instant!” Draco squirmed and struggled against his lover’s heated flesh. The dark boy scowled angrily and growled.

“You can have no say in this,” Draco froze in terror as Harry reached down between them and pried apart the older boy’s ivory legs.

“This may hurt a bit Drake, but you will get used to it. My mate.” Draco thrashed violently as he felt Harry’s length press against his opening. Harry growled angrily, pinning the blonds’ legs with his own. Opening his mouth partially, Harry’s fangs shimmered with saliva as he slowly leaned over his mates’ startled face. The dark boy scowled, then, quickly looking at the other boys’ stoic eyes, thrust his stiff shaft into his significant other. At precisely the exact moment, Harry bit into Draco’s smooth light-complexioned neck.

Grey eyes watered at the pain he felt. Biting his lip to hold in his scream, Draco once again thrashed about, only to have Harry bite deeper into his neck. He stood still and let the salty tears slide down his cheeks.

Harry was exhilarated. He thrust his hips viciously against the other boy, impaling his mate with his length. The younger boy picked up a fast pace, feeling extremely happy as he felt his shaft being swallowed by his love’s warm, tight opening. He knew he was violently violating and hurting his love, but he could not bring himself to be concerned. The pleasure he felt blinded him.

Draco lay still beneath him now, no longer feeling pain, no longer feeling anything. Harry thrust into him mercilessly; blood seeped from between the blonds long legs. His eyes were now lifeless.

Harry finally released the other boys’ neck and howled as he released his seed into his passive mate.

The lightning scar bearer tossed about in his fretful sleep. The images in his mind were graphic and disturbing. Harry knew what was happening was very wrong, even if he slept, he could feel that this was very wrong.

‘Wake up Harry.’

Grumbling.

‘Harry, please, wake up. It is over, the battle is over.’

Harry stirred irritably. Slowly hazel eyes peeked open to take in his surroundings. Four blurry images, three silver, one crimson, were all he observed.

Rubbing his eyes, Harry sat bolt straight and blinked rapidly to clear his muddled mind. He sighed in relief upon seeing that he was amidst familiar figures. His patronus stood dreamily around him, upon making sure he was safe and sound, they disappeared with puffs of silver and returned to their owners’ wand. Fawkes sat atop a tiny pink featherless Helios.

The dog demon wielder/ wizard slowly gathered his bearings and stood up dizzily. Shaking his head slightly, he walked over to the birds and kneeled before them.

“Thanks for the help Fawkes. You too Helios. How did you get here anyway boy?” Harry stroked the red plumage of the mature phoenix before him. Fawkes cocked his head in askance and chirped softly. Helios chirped from underneath him. Harry was confused.

“Hey, I can’t understand you Heli. I guess you are too young to communicate telepathically. As for you Fawkes, you have no idea what I am saying, do you?”

‘Actually, I understand you quite well, who do you presume was the being that awakened you Mr. Potter?’

‘Well, I… I mean I guess I thought… I don’t really know, I was a bit out of it… Hey, how is it I can communicate with you as I do with Helios?’

‘Quite simple young one. Dumbledore appointed me to be a sort of guardian for you as you search for the few remaining horcrux. He chose you, as you might recall, due to the fact that he held you at a bit higher esteem than the rest of his students. He was fond of you… As of now, I will be able to telepathically communicate with you as well as your mate.’

Harry stared at the calm bird in awe. A few moments passed when the young man finally snapped out of his reverie and decided to get down to handling what they went there for. Standing up, he scooped up his young companion and placed him into one of the spell enlarged pockets of his black jeans.

Sighing as he realized Fawkes had mentioned his absent lover, Harry silently thought of his mate waking up to find his future spouse absent. Harry pondered on his loves’ feelings. Would he worry, question Harry’s absence, search for him? Or would Draco feel liberated, rejoice in his mates’ sudden disappearance? Would Draco be alright physically? Harry fretted over the thought of Ron harassing his mate then quickly cast it aside. Draco could handle himself in a fair fight. He just hoped that there would be no need for any kind of fights at all.

‘I don’t know if I planned this out so well… Shoot, too late now…’

The young man rubbed his eyes irritably, stopping the tears that threatened to spring forward. He turned to a long dingy hall to the right of the main lobby and began to walk down the dank corridor. Fawkes, being a tad bit larger than Helios, and not being able to perch on Harry’s broad shoulder, silently flew above the boys’ dark head.

Reaching the end of the hall, Harry opened the door into the room he and Dumbledore had entered while visiting the orphanage in the pensieve the year prior. Harry scanned the small room silently as Fawkes flew over him and scouted a nearby dresser drawer.

‘Mr. Potter, over here,’ the large crimson bird landed gracefully upon the dusty drawer and beckoned Harry over.

Harry smiled nervously as he slowly approached the large birds’ perch. Upon reaching the dresser, he recognized a small silver locket. Oddly, it was in plain sight and quite clean compared to its surroundings. Harry gently lifted the small trinket and studied it carefully.

“This must be the real necklace, I gave the fake to Mad Eye. Yet…”

‘This could possibly be a decoy or trap,’ Fawkes finished Harry’s statement.

“Yes, it could be I suppose… Let’s have a look inside.”

Harry carefully opened the small locket. Upon doing so, a small piece of parchment fell before the crimson phoenix. Harry huffed angrily.

“Just bloody great! It is just another fake to throw us off. Just another waste of time, I really thought this would be where we would find one of the horcrux. This place was special to Voldemort. Dumbledore died because of one of these damn wild goose chases!”

Fawkes blinked and snatched up the small parchment.

‘It would not hurt to read it Mr. Potter, it can contain a clue.’

Harry sighed and opened his palm for the bird to drop the tiny article into his hand. Upon landing in his open palm, the tiny parchment began to expand, becoming larger. Unfurling it, his eyes slit in anger as he recognized the writing from the fake necklace.

To whom it may concern:

Upon finding this precious and dangerous artifact, you will undoubtedly be placed in harms way. I had hoped it would be I who might slay the wicked wizard, Lord Voldemort, yet circumstances arose and I am no longer capable of standing against the ruthless Dark Lord. I leave this, the true necklace which belonged to Salazar Slytherin in your capable hands. I know you, who finds this object, are a powerful and worthy being. You know of the Dark Lords’ past to have come this far in your journey, however long it may have taken. I beg of you, searcher of the horcrux, take caution and strength with you on your mission. For the sake of the wizard and human world, find the remaining horcrux, destroy Tom Riddle, bring peace back where fear and confusion now reside. Know this, I know of your past, though I know not exactly who you are. I know you were the being that found the false chain I left in the cave. I know you read my last letter, which was intended for none other than Tom himself. As I have mentioned this, I know you must have figured I could not destroy this artifact as I had threatened to do. I drained all of my powers providing this locket with a very strong magic. Only one noble of heart and holding honor and love shall be able to touch this. So I have faith that this locket will reach the hands of only a worthy and pure man. Dearest regards to you, finder of this horcrux, all hope and faith go out to you from this diminishing being. I sealed this horcrux with more than magic, but with a great deal of life force.

Harry looked the parchment over once more and turned to Fawkes.

‘I need to know who this man is… Yet he did explain a few things I guess. The rest is up to us guys.’

‘Mr. Potter… Do you think that this is another trap?’

‘I doubt it Fawkes. This guy sounds serious, and the dementors were here for a reason. They were protecting something important.’ Fawkes nodded in agreement then sat silently before a question arose in the beautiful phoenix.

‘Mr. Potter, don’t you believe that this… Getting this horcrux was a little too simple?’

‘Now that you mention it, it was a little too easy. I mean, no evil could touch the locket, Voldemort must know, or those caped freaks would not be here. I would have thought that if he did know, there would be a lot more of his followers here to keep me away…’

Suddenly, a crash echoed from the main entrance. Harry spun around to face the rooms’ door, wand at chest level. He stood still, waiting for the attackers he knew to be interrupting his one good moment.

‘Fawkes… What is it?’

‘I sense nothing, should I go and check?’

‘No, I want to have the advantage of facing them head on. You would alert them to my whereabouts and they could ambush…’ Fawkes nodded once more and stared intently at the door leading to the hall, where slow, shuffling footsteps could be heard.

Slowly, the door creaked open, revealing a pale, lifeless figure.

“Bloody hell… Inferius!” Harry recognized the ugly creatures from the cave, feeling complete rage and hate well up inside. He began to feel his dog demon powers emerge.

‘Harry, stay calm. There is not much the dog demon can do. These creatures fear only fire. Your dog powers are strong, but not enough now…’ Fawkes flew from his perch on the dresser and screeched angrily at the many figures that began to file into the little room. Inside of Harry’s pocket, a shudder passed through the helpless chick. Harry quickly placed a protective hand over his pants pocket as he backed up against a wall.

‘What the hell was the spell Dumbledore used?’ Harry racked his brain wildly to remember as Fawkes hovered slightly before him, bristling angrily, trying to ward off the creatures that served the Dark Lord. Harry’s dog demon now lay dormant but ready inside of him. He sweated as he fought frantically to remember the spell.

The Inferius closed in on the boy and the furious bird, arms outstretched, eyes milky white and cold.

“Damn it…”

Draco awoke, panting heavily and sweating rather profusely. Sitting up slowly, the young man wiped his brow with his shirt sleeve and looked out of the Gryffindor window to see the sun had risen. Blinking in confusion, he quickly looked down to see that he was still dressed in his school clothes.

Then, images of the prior night rushed forward and Draco whipped around to his mates’ bed.

It was empty and undone. All that remained on the bed was a small pile of objects: a necklace, belt, and the stud earring Harry was so fond of. The boy jumped out of bed and looked at the grandfather clock in the common room.

‘Damn… 10:30… Eh, the middle of the week, class today... Where is Potter?’ Draco scanned the room worriedly.

‘Harry has been on me so much lately. He has been the one that I have woken to, well, him hovering an inch from my face every morning is a bit annoying. Still, he would not leave the room without at least telling me…’

“Looking for something Malfoy?”

Draco spun around to see the angry face of Ron. The blond scowled deeply in anger, a scowl matching if not surpassing Ron’s.

“What is it Weaselbee? I am quite busy at the moment. Don’t you have a bushy haired beaver girlfriend you can maul behind a statue or something?”

Ron flushed in anger and embarrassment and took a threatening step toward the smirking Malfoy.

“Looking for your boyfriend are ya? Bloody queer,” Ron snickered as he noticed Draco blush ever so slightly. The blond then sneered.

“That is none of your concern Weasel, get out of my way.” Draco stepped into his shoes and walked past the smiling red head, making his way for the door. So as to be unnoticed by the other boy, Draco grabbed his robe from his chest, simultaneously grabbing his wand hidden underneath as well.

“Well, I am off to class then freckle face,” Draco tossed his robes on and coolly made his way through the door.

Ron smirked before sitting on his bed and thinking about the blond.

“With Harry gone, no one can protect the bloody git. This time Harry won’t come to the rescue Malfoy.” Ron grabbed his wand and a worn parchment. Looking down at the old paper, he grinned.

‘Oh Harry, you can be so careless.’

“I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.” The blank parchment began to fill with dots attached to labels of the people’s names and tiny footsteps and rooms.

‘Where oh where is Mr. Malfoy?’
