I do not own Harry Potter, nor any of the characters from the books or movies. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Twenty Questions
Disclaimer:The characters in this story are all JK Rowling\'s. I don\'t own a single one. I\'m borrowing them for a little debauchery, then, I\'ll give them back.
A/N: Phoenix was my only reviewer last chappie, but it could be because I posted it kind of late and this one is posted early. LOL!! I thought since obviously Harry\'s emotions were running kind of high that something should happen between them. *grins* They\'ve finally crossed the line, what happens next?!?!
ON WITH THE STORY!!
Harry didn’t hear him, though. He merely rolled toward Snape and mumbled something incoherent in his sleep. Snape sighed happily and hugged the young man closer. “My Harry.”
They lay there for some time. Severus watched Harry sleep and got caught up on his own thoughts. He drifted in and out of sleep himself, and when Harry finally stirred, he decided it was time to get up and find something to eat.
“Harry, are you ready for lunch?” Severus whispered to the young man gently shaking him from his sleep.
“Later,” Harry mumbled. “I don’t want to move.”
Snape laughed and kissed the young man on the lips. “I’m hungry Harry, and you have yet to actually dress for the day.”
Severus moved and began to dress. The noises finally roused Harry enough to realize that he was alone in the floor. “Getting up?”
Snape sighed and smiled at his young lover. “Yes, Harry. It’s after lunch and I’m getting hungry.”
Harry decided that he should probably get up, shower, and get dressed. He rolled onto his stomach and gracefully rose to his feet. Walking over to Severus he said, “I’ll meet you in about 15 minutes. I need to shower.”
With a quick kiss on the lips, Harry made his way back to his room. Severus sat back down at the piano and played a few notes. He smiled thinking about Harry. He was the first lover the man had taken in more years than he cared to remember.
At lunch, they sat in an easy silence. The two men made eye contact several times through the meal. Every time, Harry would look away and blush as Snape smiled at him. They sat in companionable silence throughout the whole meal. “Severus, I’m going to go to the study and read this afternoon.”
The older man smiled. “That might be a good thing to do, Harry. We kind of wasted the morning, didn’t we?”
Harry laughed at the comment. “I’d hardly call that wasted time!”
Severus joined him in his joviality and they made small talk as they walked up the stairs toward the study together. Harry gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before he made his way to the large desk and called for the house elf to bring him his notebook and the large tome in his room. Snape made his way back to the piano and began to play again, losing himself in the music.
That evening, Harry and Severus found themselves sitting across from each other with filet mignion sitting between them. They quickly finished their meal and made their way to the sitting room. Tizzie brought them a bottle of white wine and the men talked about their lives. After three glasses, Harry said, “Sev, I want you to play a muggle game with me. It’s called twenty questions.”
Snape laughed. “Ok, Harry, I’ve done this before. Do you want to start?”
Harry grinned, “I can if you want. Do you have any siblings?”
Snape looked down and then back at Harry with a sad look in his eyes. “I did. As a matter of fact, I had a twin sister. She died when we were ten, though.”
Harry’s eyes went wide with shock and embarrassment. “Oh my god, I’m so sorry!” He put his hand over Severus’.
“You didn’t know,” he answered letting Harry’s touch comfort the obvious pain that admission still harbored. “What was it like not knowing you were a wizard?”
Several different emotions flickered through Harry’s eyes as he thought about his life before Hogwarts. “I…well…It’s hard to explain. I really hated living with the Dursley’s, not that that changed when I got my letter for Hogwarts, but finding out that I was a wizard gave me hope. So, I guess before I knew I was a wizard, I was kind of hopeless about my life. When did you find your passions for potions?”
Snape beamed at the question. “I did not have much of a choice, frankly. Growing up, my father did not have much to do with me and Mother was always brewing up some concoction. Mostly she kept basic healing potions for minor wounds and broken bones because I was so accident prone.”
“You? Accident prone? Ha!” Harry interjected.
Snape shrugged his shoulders and waved Harry’s comments off. “I was terribly accident prone as a child. My feet were too big for my body and I was always tripping over something. And I was always a head taller than everyone my age, so I was always hitting my head on something. I was clumsy.”
Harry shook his head with a smirk. “I just don’t see it. You move with such a sure grace that I just don’t believe it’s possible you were clumsy.”
It was Snape’s turn to laugh. “Well, my mother helped me overcome my clumsiness when I fell down the stairs at Snape Manor and almost killed myself. Now, did you ever think you’d be sitting here with your old potions master playing this silly game?”
“Strangely, I always wondered, Severus. I could always see us being friends, even if you hated my father. There was always something there behind that mask that you wore in class that I could see, but I never knew what it was. So, yes, I guess I could see myself sitting here with you, but I’d have never guessed it, no. Ok, what did your mother do to remedy your clumsiness?”
A light flush stained Snape’s high cheekbones and he answered the young man with a groan. “How did I know that you’d ask that question? Must I tell you?”
Harry beamed triumphantly. “Yes, or we can do this with truth serum.”
Snape rolled his eyes and sighed. “Ok, Mother made me start taking ballet when I was seven.”
“Ballet??” Harry howled with laughter. “You in a tutu? You…in a tutu!!”
It was several minutes before Harry regained his composure. Before he did, though, he wound up in the floor clutching his sides laughing. As Harry started to climb back up on the couch, still chuckling, Snape launched himself at the young man. They rolled around on the floor wrestling for a few minutes.
Before long, both men were laughing and grappling with each other. They’d managed to turn the couch over and knock both chairs askew. Snape did not realize just how strong Harry was. Finally, Harry decided with a smirk at the older man that it was time to end the playing. He flipped the older man over his head, and landed on his stomach with both arms pinned next to his body. Harry put one finger in the middle of his forehead and pressed lightly. “Ha! I’ve won! You can’t move!”
A/N2: I know in ballet boys don\'t wear tutu\'s, but I couldn\'t resist the image of Snape in anything pink!
