Chapter Seventeen: The Magazine
It was a couple of weeks later, during the daily owl post, that a large barn owl came and proceeded to deliver a package to Dumbledore, Draco, and Hermione. Hermione looked over at Dumbledore who was smiling at her.
“Is that it?” Ginny asked, who was holding hands with Harry.
“Open it up, lets see,” Ron said.
Hermione untied the string around the package, her hands shaking. She opened it to reveal the cover, and gasped in surprise when she saw Draco and herself wearing the royal blue silk pajamas. Her neck was arched back while he was kissing her neck, as his hand was at the hem of the shirt, about to slide up further. She was gripping his arm, her nails digging into the skin. “Oh my god!” She said as she dropped the magazine. She looked over at Draco, who also had a shocked expression on his face.
“What? What is it?” Harry asked worriedly.
Hermione showed them the magazine. “We made the cover.”
“What do you mean ‘we’?” Harry asked.
“Draco substituted for the male model who was a no show,” she replied, still in shock as she pointed at the cover. “That is the both of us here.”
Hermione opened the magazine flat on the table as Ron, Harry, Ginny, and Lavender looked over her shoulder. She turned the pages until she came to the lingerie section. She slowly flipped the pages as the memories brought the warm feeling back to her that she felt while doing the shoot.
“That’s you? My, you look, look . . . ” Harry stuttered.
“Hot!” Ron finished.
“Hermione, you were so right. He does look good, especially with no shirt on,” Ginny said.
“Was he actually kissing you?” Lavender asked.
Hermione touched the page. “Yes, yes he was,” she huskily replied. She closed the magazine and placed it carefully in her bag. “Well, we should get to class guys.” They all looked at her worriedly as she went ahead of them.
“There are definitely feelings shown between them in those pictures, and I’m not just talking about lust feelings either,” Harry softly said.
“Yeah, I noticed that too,” Ron added.
While Hermione was looking through the magazine at the Gryffindor table, Draco started to look through his copy, with Blaise looking over his shoulder.
Draco looked through the pictures, remembering how she made him feel during those poses. He grew hard just thinking about it.
“Man. You weren’t kidding when you said she looked good. She’s hardly wearing anything in these,” Blaise said as Draco flipped to the page where she was just wearing the pajama bottoms with their arms crossed across her breasts. “You sure were at the right place at the right time, huh?” Blaise added.
Draco was remembering what he had whispered in her ear in that picture and what they did after. “Yeah, I definitely was,” he said distractedly as he closed the magazine and put it in his bag.
Blaise watched his best friend walk out the door. ‘I wonder if he realizes that he loves her yet,’ he thought to himself, ‘because those pictures, which are definitely hot, also showed how they felt about each other.’
Their first class was potions where Snape noticed that both Granger and Malfoy were sitting there deep in thought. He had seen the magazine also and was happy for them. He then instructed the class to read the chapters about antidotes to some potions in their texts.
Blaise looked over at Hermione, noticing the unusual shakiness to her hands. He grabbed her hand to still it. “Are you okay Hermione?” She nodded. “I saw the magazine. You guys looked hot, and to make the cover . . . ” He added.
“Yes, they did turn out great. I was surprised about the cover though. We had no idea,” she said.
“Hermione,” Blaise paused, “how do you feel about Draco?”
“How do I feel?” She asked, not understanding right away.
“Yeah, do you love him?” He asked bluntly.
Hermione looked back at Draco who was also looking back at her. She turned back to Blaise, her feelings evident in her eyes. “Yes, very much.”
