Differences

Harry looked around the library and saw all the presents. 

"You didn't have to get me all those." Harry said pointing to the table that had the pile of presents on it.

"We didn't get all those ourselves pup. Some where sent by owl to you." Sirius told him.

"Oh okay. Well lets get started opening them up." Harry said smiling.

Draco smiled and handed Harry the books he had gotten him. 

"This is only part of one of your gifts from me." 

Harry opened the box and pulled out the books on snakes. He looked at Draco comfused.

"Dray I like books and all but this isn't what I would normally read." Harry told him.

"I told you Harry. That was only part one of your presents. This is the other part."

Draco said while handing Harry the other box from him. Harry opened the box and suddenly the books made a lot more since.

"Hello little one. My name is Harry. What is yours?"

"I have no name yet Harry. Are you my new master? The one that the little blond was talking about with the other speaker"

Harry laughed out loud. 

"What Harry?" Draco asked.

Severus smirked when Draco looked away. Harry saw Severus smirk and decided to ask Severus a question in parsle.

" So Severus do you speak parletonge?"

"Yes a little I talked to your snake a little before Dragon bought it."

Harry smirked, he saw Draco shiver while he was talking to Severus. Severus raised his eyebrow at Harry in question. Harry just shook his head.

"So are you male or female?"

"I am male."

"Okay that helps me name you. Lets see do you like Narcissus? Cissus for short."

"Yes Harry I do like that name."

"To answer your question Draco I was laughing at what Cissus was saying. That is his name. To someone who doesn't know he is poisionous it will miss lead them."

"Oh ok." Draco answered.

Harry opened the rest of his presents except for 4 of them. They came from Ginny, Hermione, Dumbles, and Mrs. Weasley.

"Siri what do you think, should I open them?"

"Well pup we can cast revealing spells on them to make sure there are no harmful spells or any hidden portkeys in them."

"Please would you show me how to do the spells?"

Sirius and Harry stood up and walked over to the table. Sirius pulled out his wand and showed Harry the spells he needed. Harry cast the revealing spell on Hermione's present and nothing came up. Harry picked it up and opened the box. He gasped. Inside was a very small half-kneazle kitten.

"What Harry?" Sirius asked. Harry reached in and pulled out the black and grey kitten. 

"Aww its cute." Draco said. Just then it opened its eyes and Draco gasped.

"Harry look at it's eyes!" Draco said. 

Harry turned it and looked into it's eyes. It was like looking in the mirror and looking at his own eyes. Draco was looking in the box for anything else.

"Harry look she even got a basket and everything. Oh here is a letter from her."

 

Harry handed Draco the kitten and took the letter to read it. 

Harry,

    I hope you are having a great birthday. I also hope you will accept the present I sent you. It is a girl kitten so when you name it make sure its female. I want you to know that Ronald and I are not together and I haven't seen any of the Weasley's since right after I talked to you the last time. I also have some new to share. But I don't want to write it in a letter. If I could talk to you in person it would be better. I heard from McGonagall that I will be a prefect. Isn't that great. Any way I should go. Again I hope you have a great birthday.   -love-    Hermione

"Everything okay Harry?" Severus asked.

"Yeah. It's just Mione wants to talk face to face to tell me something. Oh she said th kitten is a girl. I think her name will be Lily."

Harry grabbed the kitten and held her up infront of him.

"Hey there pretty girl. Is your name Lily?" The kitten meowed.

"Yep her name is Lily. Okay now on to Dumble's present. I don't understand how it could have been sent unless it had a spell to send it even after he was dead."

"Pup anything is possible with that man." Sirius said.

Harry went to do the spell again, but Severus stopped him. 

"Harry let me do it just to make sure. Please."

"Okay Sev." Harry lowered his wand and backed up.

"Siri love, could you put up a shield around you and the boys?"

"Of course Sev."

Sirius pulled out his wand and waved it in a complex pattern. Harry and Draco saw the shield shimmer infront of them.

"Okay Sev I have an Auror sheild up."

Severus did a complex motion with his wand and barely got his own shield up before the box exploded. Sirius dropped the shield and ran up to Severus.

"Sev are you alright?"

"I'm not sure that I got the shield up in time. I think it got my arm."

Sirius looked down at Severus' arm and saw blood on the sleeve of his shirt.

"Sev I nee you to take off your shirt so I can look at it."

"Siri I don't know that I can. Just vanish it please." 

Sirius vanished Severus' shirt and cursed under his breath.

"Alright love, this is going to hurt." 

Sirius waved his wand over the wound and it started knitting back together. Severus winced.

"Shit that hurts." Severus ground out between his teeth.

"Alright love it's healed. Lets not do that again."

"No shit. Although we still have to deal with the gift from Molly and young Miss Weasley."

"Maybe Tilly can check them with her elf magic and not set them off like the one from Dumbles." Harry said.

"Actually Harry, that is a good idea." Sirius said.

"Tilly." Harry called out. Tilly popped in.

"What can Tilly do for Master Harry?"

"Well Tilly we were wondering if you could check these gifts out for me. Severus got hurt checking the last one. Only do so if you aren't going to get hurt." Harry told her.

"Of course Master Harry. I's being happy to check it." Tilly waved her hand over the presents and looked at Harry.

"There's being a portkey in that one and a love potion in the other Master Harry."

"Thank you for checking Tilly. Is there any way you could send them back with out activating them?"

"Of course Master Harry." Tilly snapped her fingers and they were gone.

"Thank you Tilly."

"You being welcome Master Harry. Happy birthday."

"Thank you Tilly." Tilly bowed and popped out.

"Well that takes care of all of that. I think I'm going to go write Hermione back and see if she can come tomorrow for your bonding; if that's okay with you and Siri." Harry asked Severus.

"I don't mind at all Harry. I'm sure Sirius doesn't either." 

Severus said looking at Sirius. Sirius nodded his head saying he didn't mind.

"Alright I'm going upstairs to send this letter so Hermione can come."

Harry headed upstairs into his room. He walked over to his desk and pulled his writing supplies to him.

    Hermione,

        Thank you for the beatiful kitten you sent for my birthday. I was wondering if you wanted to come over tomorrow. Siri and Sev are bonding tomorrow and I thought you might want to come. Maybe we can talk after. Hey maybe you can stay the rest of the summer holiday. See what you can do and let me know.        Love H. Black

    P.S. 

        Sorry I forgot to tell you what time to come if your gonna be here for the bonding. It's at 12 pm.

Harry looked back over it to make sure it sounded alright. He summoned Hedwig.

"Hey girl; can you take this to Mione please."

Hedwig nipped Harry's fingers affectionately, and took off out the open window with the letter in her beak. Harry decided to go ahead and go to bed. As soon as his head hit the pillow he was asleep.
